Critter Control of Indianapolis

Original service date: 2/14: Homeowner heard mice/critter on numerous occasions at different locations in the house or near external walls. Randy inspected the home for mice/critters. Checked attic, garage, house perimeter. No evidence of mice/critter found. Mice/critter bait spread in attic over home. Second service date: 3/14: homeowner still heard mice/critter sounds. Another inspection for evidence of critter and bait added to attic over garage, and critter trap with food bait left on homeowner premise. Randy suggested it might be the sound of wind catching under loose vinyl siding. Stuffed blue plastic material in space between the vinyl siding and wood trim to detect if evidence of critter/mice. Agreed to wait and see what results with bait trap. April: Randy picked up bait trap, trap not sprung, blue plastic material still in place and customer hasn't heard any critter noises. I appreciate Randy coming out multiple times to determine if there was evidence of critter/mice.

After having our house bat proofed by another company, I was still finding dead bats in the house. Since Critter Control came out and performed their repairs, I have had no more problems. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. They gave me an estimate after their service call. They were able to perform the repairs quickly.

They came out quickly. They were courteous and efficient. The clean up was wonderful.

They assessed the situation and damage that was done. They gave me excellent recommendations on what to do to keep them from reentering.

Paid $199 for a rodent abatement package; he came out and looked in the attic for racoons (it turned out to be birds in the dryer vent). He looked around for about 15 minutes, determined that it was the birds, not racooons, and left. I mentioned that $199 seemed like an awful lot for 15 minutes of inspection. He said he could take $50 off. I apprecciated that, at least, but that's still a rate of $10/minute for his time. Not even a pediatrician makes $600 an hour. He did not have to use any of his own tools or equipment and did not do anything about the birds, so I feel like the price was really unfair since he didn't have to do anything other than look around the property for a few minutes. Also, It took a couple phone calls and several weeks for me to get a refund for the $50 he agreed to knock off and the receptionist I spoke with was not very eager to assist.

It was a deal through Angie's List. It turned out fine and they did a good job. I would use them again.

It turned out good. They were here when they said they would be. They were friendly on the phone and they got rid of the problem.

Fabulous! Initially I thought my primary issue was moles. I appreciated Brian coming out each day to assess the mole situation and move the traps as needed. Then we found I had a small colony of raccoons living under my deck. Brian was able to successfully live trap the raccoons and transport them to a better living environment which fits with my thoughts about the proper care of animals! Both Angie and Brian were responsive to my emails, questions, etc. My deck needed some repair work once the raccoons were removed and that work was done quickly and professionally. I have been so pleased! I would highly recommend Critter Control to anyone needing these types of services! Laura

They were able to trap an animal under my deck. I then checked with them to see what it would cost to put some metal mesh around the bottom of my deck to prevent this in the future, and they quoted $1000 which I thought was a little high. I ended up having that done by some friends of mine for $300 - including parts and labor.

This turned out fine. They came out and set a trap. They checked it twice on two separate occasions. They were able to find the source of the problem and fixed up the hole. They were very good and professional. They were unable to get into the attic, but were good about working around that issue. We have not heard anything since.

Ater the squirrel was trapped we waited to see if I heard any more noises in the attic. After a time a wire screen was placed over the drier vent and the problem was solved.

He found the whole where the critters were getting in. He poisoned the entry and built. No critters have came back, the problem was resolved.

I think that was a fine experience. I helped them trap some squirrels in our ceiling and on our roof. We had a gap around our roof where the gutter board and they plyboard comes together, and that was how the squirrels were getting in and they sealed that up and we've never had any problems since. The technician seemed like he knew what he was doing so he was fine with everything. But after they left there were still a few small gaps that I saw so the work wasn't top notch but it was fine.

We have an annual contract with them and have used them for several years. They help us with our mole problem and they are great.

I have had a real problem with ants this year. He came out in Feb., he came a couple of weeks ago and today also. He gets down on his hands & knees, he follows them to their nest, he finds the colony and treats the problem at the source. I called yesterday and he was out here this morning.

Response to my initial phone call was prompt. The program was explained clearly. Technician arrived as scheduled and returned regularly over 7 days until problem was solved. No more chipmunks.

Brian was great! punctual, quickly diagnosed the problem. Didn't charge for follow up visit.

I used $199 Angies List deal for service agreement with this company. They responded within 24 hours with service person who reviewed the situation and set traps for the mole or moles who were beginning to do some significant damage to the lawn in our back yard. Within about 4-5 days, a mole was trapped and removed. I paid Angies List discount for the removal of the mole, about $65 The traps were left in place for a few more days. No other moles were found. We are obviously pleased to not have to start each day looking for more lawn damage from the mole. I would highly recommend this company.

We called Critter Control because they did a great job helping us get raccoon out of our house when we first moved in last year. This year we had trouble with mice in the attic and of course we called them again. They were prompt to respond to our phone call. The technician arrived when expected and set bait in the attic area. He was very thorough and courteous. His application has resolved our mice issue. We will call them again if we have any other issues. We live in a wooded area and appreciate their service.

They humanly trapped one of the raccoons, which I was glad for. They were out regularly to check on the situation. They also helped get rid of some carpenter bees. In general the technician was a nice guy. He was very informative and diagnosed the problem correctly.

They responded immediately, and the next day they had the raccoons. I have a difficult attic to get access to, and Tim was able to get to the attic without having to cut a hole in the wall or ceiling. He placed a cage at the entrance on the roof, and sealed the areas around it, forcing the raccoon to go into the cage, which was the best way to do it, through their point of entry. He removed one adult and 3 baby raccoons. I was very happy with the outcome and with his abilities--and his bravery!

I contacted Critter Control of Indianapolis after realizing that a bird was going in and out of a vent on the back of our house. I contacted them on Monday or Tuesday of the week and they were able to schedule me for a Wednesday morning appointment. The polite gentleman arrived as scheduled and went right to work. He investigated the situation and informed me that fortunately the bird was just going in and out...it hadn't actually nested in there. To prevent future occurrences he removed the old vent cover and installed a new bird guard. He even fixed the hookup of the duct/pipe/vent for me. I was pleasantly pleased when he presented me the bill as my total charge was actually less than I expected. He explained that since the bird hadn't nested, the fee was less since there was no "critter" or nest removal necessary.

We had some moles causing trenches in the yard. The service person came and set the traps where he thought appropriate (active tunnels). Then would come back 3 times a week to check and see if he had caught any. When he did, he removed it, and replaced the traps until there was no more activity. After the traps were gone for a while, there was more activity, and I called. Again, same procedure. No questions asked.
