Description of Work: The Thermo-Scan technician used two types of ultrasound detecting devices to successfully locate a water leak in a pipe under the slab on which our house sits/just behind a wall so that our plumber knew exactly where to begin work on repairing the leaking pipe.

 + -1 moreHE WAS METHODICAL AND VERY THOROUGH. HE LEFT MARKINGS ON THE FLOOR OF MY HALL CLOSET TELLING THE PLUMBER WHERE TO BREAK THROUGH THE CONCRETE AND IN WHAT DIRECTION TO LOOK IN THE EVENT THE LEAK WAS UNDER THE WALL RATHER THAN RUNNING BESIDE IT. I TRY NOT TO LET TECHNOLOGY (OR ITS USE) OVERWHELM ME. BUT THIS ORGANIZATION HAS TOOLS AND A PROCESS THAT WERE AMAZING. HE WAS ABLE TO EXCLUDE THE COLD WATER LINES IN SHORT ORDER AND SPOT THE PROBABLE SITE FOR THE LEAK IN FAIRLY SHORT TIME AS WELL. OVERALL HE WAS HERE JUST OVER AN HOUR AND I WAS PREPARED FOR HIS WORK TO TAKE ANYPLACE FROM 1 TO 3 HOURS. AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE.
Description of Work: A PLUMBER HAD DETERMINED THAT I HAD A LEAK IN A WATER LINE SOMEPLACE WITHIN THE SLAB FOUNDATION FOR MY HOME. HE SUGGESTED I CONTRACT THERMO-SCAN TO DETERMINE THE LOCATION OF ANY LEAK(S) RATHER THAN RANDOMLY TEARING THE CONCRETE UP. THERMO-SCAN RESPONDED THE DAY AFTER BEING CALLED AND TOOK SLIGHTLY OVER AN HOUR TO DETERMINE THE LEAK WAS IN ONE LINE AND IT CARRIED HOT WATER FROM THE HEATER TO THE KITCHEN SINK. HE PRESSURIZED THE LINE TO CLEARLY IDENTIFY THE LEAK AND FOUND IT UNDER THE CONCRETE USING SOUND AMPLIFICATION AND THERMAL TOOLS.
