The Painting Edge

It went very well. The dry wall person, Ray found a very slow leak in our kitchen ceiling so we had to get that fixed before they could paint. I am sure that threw them off schedule but they acted like it was no problem at all. Our painter, Flynn was very nice and just did his job and tryed to stay out of our way. All of the rooms we had painted really look good.

From the time of the estimate to the end of the job, Todd Cartmel and his crew were extremely professional. Todd kept me up to date on all that was accomplished for this 3 day job since I was staying with family during the work and it was the week of Christmas. The drywall crew came in and did a great job on a room that was added after the house was built but was poorly drywalled up to the ceiling. The painting of the high walled great room and all the rest of the rooms were professionally finished. The edging and hole repair were perfect. Todd and his crew did an excellant job. I have never worked with a more upstanding service company than The Painting Edge. I would trust no other to do my painting.

From inital contact to completion of the job, everything was excellent. Great communication and follow-up, thorough work, and everything was kept neat and clean during each day of the job.

Just as expected. Todd told me it would take about 2 1/2 days and it did. His guys were great. They realized we both worked out of the house and kept the noise, dust and all that to a minimum. I had hired Todd and his guys before to do my master bedroom and then we had him do all of our exterior windows as they had not been painted in 10 years and needed it badly. All of their work is top notch. I've already got them signed up for another job-to paint our great room and entry foyer in a few weeks.

It went very well, Ray did a good job. The job was done right and in a reasonable amount of time for the amount estimated.

Todd responded to my call the same day and came to my home the next day to provide an estimate. The work was scheduled within the week at the next time I could be available. Todd communicated with me the morning of the job to let me know that Ray would be the person to expect at my home and verify the time. Ray was on time, personable, let me know what he would be doing and approximately how long the job would take. Ray did a great job, looks just like new! The texture was matched perfectly. He also cleaned up very well, you would never even know he had been in there which I really appreciated! We had tried to schedule this small job with another company for 2 months. The Painting Edge treated our small job as important as a more expensive one which is rare!

They did a GREAT job. Not only did they do the job in record time, all the guys who came to the house were courteous and "blended" into the home. They were professional and respectful when in the home, and were great when my three year old became curious and would watch them. The guys, all of them, were open to my comments, were great when I asked them to touch up something, let me know what their schedule was, especially coming into and out of the home, and did not make a mess at all. With moving and being seven months pregnant at the time, Todd and the guys treated us with kid gloves. I am so happy with the results!

The team was professional and punctual. Todd helped with paint color recommendations to match existing paint scheme. Upon completion, Todd returned to inspect work and ensure our satisfaction. Would recommend and re-hire with no issues. Finished product was better than expected. Nice work!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. The owner, Todd Cartmel, came out within 1-2 days after my initial call to take measurements and to discuss options. We got the bid within another day. We were thrilled that Todd spent a few days helping us decide on colors, provided us a full color book to help us and painted sample boards when we thought we found something we liked. This initial step is not something we've ever been offered by another painter before. It really helps get all the "bugs" out before you even start. His crew was right on time every day, very nice and courteous. There were virtually no drips, dribbles or needed touch-ups on the entire job. It was perfect, even with all the vaulted ceilings! At the end of every day Todd came over and we would talk about what was going to happen the next day. He was very flexible if we needed to change the order of things. We had some faux painting done in additional rooms at the same time and the two crews worked wonderfully together. We needed a lot of work done in a week's time and they delivered a day early! His price was very competitive and he used top of the line paint. For us, using this company again is a no-brainier. Use them without an ounce of worry. I can definitely see why they've won so many Angie's List awards. Well deserved!

I couldn't be happier with the work. I felt the price was reasonable. They painted two rooms with two coats in one day. I would recommend them without hesitation!

Todd and his crew are completely great. They worked around other vendors (including one day of no electricity as electricians replaced the main breaker box), the movers moving my stuff in (this could not be changed), and completely awful wall conditions. And then to top it off, I selected beautiful, but "thin" colors, so with the exception of one bedroom all walls were painted 4 times. My brilliant, bright colors are perfect and the house looks better than I ever imagined. My closets went from scary little hidden areas to bright huge storage areas. Once spring comes I will have Painting Edge do all my outside trim and after the holidays will have them start on the basement.

Todd came over and gave a prompt written estimate. Then, just prior to starting he met with me to go over the job and answer any concerns that I had. Then, every day during the painting he gave me on update on the job and told me about any problems. His team showed up on time every day and did a great job. They were clean cut, appropriately dressed and cleaned up at the end of the day and treated my house with great respect. After the job was completed, there was a problem with the paint bonding to one of my garage doors which necessitated replacing one of the panels. I was out-of-town but called Todd and he went to my home, assessed the problem and provided a quick fix. The permanent solution required replacing one of the garage door panels. Todd made all of the arrangements and paid for the repair. Todd stands by his work and fixes any problems that arise. He doesn't disappear after the work is done.

Ray and Mike of the Painting Edge worked several hours over a weekend to get this project finished and did an excellent job. Todd and The Painting Edge have done several projects for me over the years and their performance and professionalism is the best I have ever come across in working with contractors. Everything looks great now and I am very happy, and the walls are ready for the new back splash installation.

In October 2008 I had my house painted by The Painting Edge. It was a great experience. Todd Cartmel's business is a first class operation. We had experienced water damage and needed drywall repair as well as painting. Everything went smoothly. Todd brought in his dry-waller who did a wonderful job. The painters, John and Chris were excellent - they were pleasant, helpful and neat. They arrived every day before 8 and were painting by 8:00 -- what a nice surprise to have contractors start on time!! I would absolutely hire them again.

He showed up on time and while doing the work he payed extreme attention to detail. He was really professional and courteous. We were very happy with him. We have already hired him again to come back and paint the exterior of the house.

They were professional, did great work, got the work done quickly, and were clean and neat. Good responsiveness to calls and questions, made helpful suggestions about color and finish when scoping the project. They cost more than other painters but they're worth it. Need to plan in advance to book their time (1 or 2 weeks), but they're busy because they're good.

Todd was very polite and called back quickly. We went with another company because they could get us in quickly but I will use Todd in the future.

We received several quotes, and while the Painting Edge's quote was not the lowest, they had fair pricing and the best Angie's List rating, so we chose them. Todd Cartmel was very professional and courteous. The work was fantastic! Todd went the extra mile to make sure the colors were a perfect match. We will use The Painting Edge services again!

Todd was very prompt returning my initial phone call. He was very professional, pleasant and prompt in giving us an estimate. We selected the paint which he purchased. We made arrangements for him to pick up a key to access the house while we were away. I felt very safe leaving the key with him. During the days he was in the house a utility alarm went off due to a power outage. Todd was thoughtful enough to call and inform us of the alarm so we could have a neighbor check on it. When we arrived home we found the work done very professionally and to our expectations.

It went well. They worked with my schedule and completed the job on time and under budget.

I had a leak in a pipe above my entrance way. The drywall had to be replaced and the ceiling painted. Todd was EXTREMELY responsive and took care of the job cheaper than he originally anticipated. The texture on the ceiling was unique, but they did a great job matching it.

This is a quality company. Todd was very punctual, thorough, helpful in decision making and polite. He went into detail on what and how the job would be done. His painter arrived on time, was neat and polite and did an excellent job. Would be the first painter I'd call for another job.

We have used him for four years and we could not be more pleased.

They are prompt. The owner personally comes out. All the painters are very professional. They do a thorough job. We have a lot of shrubs around the house and they did not damage any of those.
