They were professional and personable. They did an unbelievable job.

I was not able to meet with them in person, but he came out and looked around my home. They are a smaller company but they were able to get me a basic written contract. It seems to me that their company would do more work based on a handshake. I agreed with their price and asked them to put me on their schedule. I will likely have the work done next spring, because I looked into it late in the year and the weather does not look like it will permit the work.

Excellent service! Came by to give estimate (after calling) and set up time to do work. Very quick, effecient & quality work. Very courteous and professional.

The owner is Todd V Cartmel. They came out the first day in the rain and power washed all the areas and said they would be back on the first sunny day. The owner called and said they were coming and asked permission if they could store some ladders inside my garage while they were doing their job. It took 2 or 3 days and they were not late on the morning they came out and I opened the garage for them. Every morning they said they would be here at 8.30 and they were here. They said that it would take 3 or 4 working days to complete the work, but they got it done in 3 days. I had estimates from 3 other companies and was in that ball park, but he seemed to be on top of everything. I was very satisfied with them and would actively use them again.

They were terrific. They first gave us the quote and then did the job. We moved into our home about 14 months ago and we had a lot of people at that time to do different kinds of work for us. However, Painting Edge did the best job. They were extremely polite. They were very professional in their approach and did a great job. The amount that they charged me included the paint too. I think that the paint was about 500 $. There was another company that came out to give me a quote and they quoted about 6000 $ for the same work. I did compare their prices with my neighbors who got their houses painted by other painters who were a lot cheaper. However, the quality of Painting Edge was good even though the price was a bit more. They were very responsive and punctual. They arrived exactly at the time that was scheduled for them. It was not only once, but they were very punctual both the times. They were really good and I got immediate answers to all my questions. I would hire them again if I have to get my house painted.

This is the second time I have used the Painting Edge and won't be the last. The trim on my house had not been painted in years, so it required lots of prep work and I chose a different color so it also required two coats. When my job came up, I was scheduled for a two week long work trip/vacation, so the entire job was completed while I was gone. I had no qualms about being gone. Todd and I communicated briefly on email, and I returned to a beautiful, freshly painted exterior that my neighbors are still complimenting.

Everything about this company is great. The owner, Todd Cartmel, is punctual, responsive to questions, fair & accurate in his estimates, and unfailingly courteous and professional. All the painting work (and sometimes more) was done according to his clearly written estimate. His men arrived on time, worked neatly and unobtrusively, and cleaned everything up every day. These men painted the entire downstairs of the house and part of the upstairs, so they were at my house for several weeks. Their fine work and attention to detail was truly wonderful, and their courteous demeanor insured that I was always comfortable with them in the house. Prior to, and during some of the painting work, it was necessary to have some drywall repairs and other minor repair work done. Todd recommended other very competent craftsmen for these jobs, and even arranged for these people to come and perform this work at my house. Finally, I was working under a deadline, and Todd and his people always kept this in mind, and assured that all the work was done before my guests arrived. All in all, one of the best experiences I've ever had with any company or organization.

Todd was very professional when he came out to give me an estimate. He also provided me with the name of a handyman who replaced some of the rotted wood trim. He was honest that it'd be a few months before they could get to my house which was expected. I received several days notice for when they'd begin the work. All the work was done while I was away from home at work. Once they were finished, I noticed a couple small items that were missed and told Todd. They came out soon after and finished everything off to my satisfaction. The house looks great!

An excellent job from start to finish. The drywall repair was done one day, and the very next day the painting was completed. Todd was very careful to make sure the drywall was dry & ready before the subsequent painting. The people that came out to do the work were extremely professional and clean. As well as on time and efficient. Todd ensured the job was done right throughout the process by continually checking in / stopping by. It was an outstanding experience.

They did a fabulous job. They were polite and courteous. They came when they said they would. They also worked long hours to meet the deadline. Todd Cartmel, the owner, must be commended for hiring such experienced, older painters. I would like to have them come back for more jobs.

My parents' empty home had been on the market for several months and the feedback from multiple showings was that all of the wallpaper throughout the house was dated and needed to be removed. I was myself an Angie's list member so I investigated compnaies that would remove wallpaper. Todd Cartmelt the owner of The Painter's Edge met me at my parent's house as scheduled. He listened to my needs, evaluated the job, made recommendations and provided qoutes for the job. We initally started small but I decided to have them proceed with the entire job as I was impressed with everyone's professionalism. The house now looks great and hopefully will result in some offers.

I was extremely pleased with the punctuality and professional manner of Todd Cartmel and the painter he assigned to the job. After Todd's visit to look at the project, he sent me a detailed estimate via email, at my request, and we communicated mostly by email until the work was completed -- much more efficient than leaving phone messages and waiting for calls back. He provided a detailed breakdown of the work on the estimate so I could see the cost of each of the 9 areas in the project. The painter was prompt, extremely courteous and meticulous in his work. The only clean up I had to do was run a hand vacuum along the baseboard in a few places to clean up some paint chips. Before I started the project, I called two A-rated Angie's List companies (including this one) and one recommended by a family member. One did not return my call and another was considerably higher than The Painting Edge. I had been dreading having this work done because so many areas of the house were involved, but I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. I will definitely call this company next time I need painting done.

Overall we were very impressed with Todd. The only issue was that he was much more expensive than all other estimates we received. His original estimate was $900 higher than the next highest. Subsequent to this we communicated back with Todd regarding this and he was extremely professional and reworked his estimate. He ended up coming down approximately $700 however this was still approximately $200 higher than the next highest and about $600 more than the lowest estimate. For this reason we decided not to use the Painting Edge but given the high level of professionalism we received we will definitely consider them for future painting jobs.

Unbelievable! My wife and I went on vacation for a week and allowed Todd and his crew to have full run of our home. The crew has been in our home several times painting in several stages, but this last stage has constituted the most change. Our kitchen looks brand new...unbelievable! We are currently having Todd look at our exterior in hopes of painting that w/in the next year. I will never have anyone else paint anything in my house.

Todd was on time for an estimate. He was very professional and made sure he understood exactly what we wanted done. He gave us several places to go and select the colors we wanted. Several days before work was to begin, Todd came to the house to go over the details again and make sure that we had everything covered to begin work. We asked for his input on several colors we had selected, and he was very helpful in explaining what was "hot" and what would work best based upon our needs.

I contacted three other contractors and narrowed to two that were at the same price range, however after speaking with Todd Cartmel I decided to go with his company. We ran into some issues but overall Todd is what I consider a person who went the extra mile to make sure I was totally happy with the work done. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Working with Todd and The Painting Edge was very easy and professional. After the initial consultation, we met to custom match the trim paint and talk about needs in each room. Then we met to confirm final colors. Todd was very knowledgeable about the kind of paint that would be best for each type of room. They began on schedule and worked very hard to meet our timeline (two weeks). The quality of the painting is excellent; we have found very few drips and the like considering the size of the job. I would definitely rehire. Our walls look great; we practically have a new house!

The Painting Edge was not the cheapest estimate we received but by no means the most expensive either. We chose The Painting Edge firstly as a result of Angies List reports and secondly after meeting the owner, Todd Cartmel. He demonstrated a deep knowledge and very quickly understood what we wanted to do within the house, we also felt that he was someone we could trust to be responsible and professional - we weren't wrong. At the same time we were having part of the kitchen remodeled and Todd was able to give us a schedule that worked around that. On the first day we meet Flynn -who was going to be our painter throughout the entire job- if we had any worries about letting a stranger run loose with a paint brush in our home, they went as soon as we meet Flynn, he's lovely man and put us at ease straight away and just like Todd he was very responsible and professional. After an initial walk through what was to be done, he got straight to it. One room was done at a time so as not to cause too much disruption to our day to day life. At the end of each day, everything was cleaned up and cleared away. Flynn is an excellent painter, his edging on the accent walls is amazing, giving a truly beautiful finish. Halfway through the job we decided to add an extra room, Todd was very accommodating. From the moment the work started, right up until it had finished, we had no concern what so ever that we'd chosen the wrong company for the job. We couldn't be more happy with what The Painting Edge achieved in our home, a very big THANK YOU!

Todd met with us twice to discuss the estimate and choose paint colors. He was very helpful in determining the right sheen of paint for each room(flat, low luster, etc.). We are very pleased with the work. Todd was also willing to work with us on the price of the painting for the master bedroom, which we really appreciated.

They were one of several bids we had for the work; while they were a bit more expensive than the other bids, we were very impressed with the professionalism of Todd from the first time we made contact with them, and decided to go with the company to do the work. We got it scheduled the next week and the drywaller, Ray, arrived right on time to start the work.Todd, the owner of the company, was also was there at the start of the job each day to make sure that the work was done correctly and that we were satisfied. There were a few glitches along the way but each time Todd and Ray made sure to communicate with us what they would do to make sure that we were pleased with the job, and they scheduled the work on the next few days to work within our schedule. The ceiling repair is perfect. The texture was not easy to match but Ray did an excellent job and we cannot tell where the holes were; it looks perfect. The walls also were fixed perfectly. From start to finish, an excellent company to work with.

They were very quick at scheduling, got the work done within 2 days with minimal mess(some dusting to clean up due to settling after sanding-but was warned ahead of time about this)and completed the job. It looks great. Offered to come back for any repairs or problems I found-which I didn't.

He did a great job and gave me a good deal on the price. He is efficient.

The project was perfect. I had used this company before for an exterior paint job on a different house, but have never hired an interior painter. Met with Todd (of The Painting Edge) to get an estimate, and to go over details of the project including colors, paint type, trim details. Todd scheduled the work promptly, matched our paint colors, and always kept in touch with schedule and project updates. The painted walls look smooth, and there was NO evidence that painters had been working in the house - no drips, no spills, no leftover supplies, etc. Todd even gave us advice on a small project that we plan to paint by ourselves.

Great! Todd responded very quickly and came out to the house himself to do the estimate. He was very professional and polite. He started when he said he was going to and finished quicker than expected. The work was perfect.
