The Painting Edge

Todd came over to discuss paint colors and start dates. Dropped off large painted boards so we could see large areas in different lighting, which was very helpful. When start day arrived Todd came over with the crew to introduce them and to do one more walk through of areas. I've painted (not good, I had more paint on me than the walls), we've had others paint and this, by far, was the best painters we've had. On time, very careful and respectful of our home. They were quick but didn't rush through the job. I asked if they could do an extra small area and they were very accommodating. We had surprise guests and we wanted to add that bathroom (Jack & Jill) and move it to the front of the line - done. They finished, cleaned up the drop cloths, paint cans and the endless blue tape. You only knew they had been there because the walls were beautifully painted. Todd told me to look over the areas for a couple of days to make sure I didn't see any problem areas - I looked hard and didn't find even a drip. If you are looking for a very professional painter worth every penny you spend, The Painting Edge and Todd Cartmel is the ans.

I highly recommend The Painting Edge. We will be using them again for all future painting jobs! We have been burned in the past by using a "professional" painting company and were hesitant to hire again. However, The Painting Edge not only met our high expectations, but exceeded them! Todd was professional and prompt with assessing our job and giving us the estimate. He was honest and upfront about the price and scope of the work. Shane and Mike were our painters and I can not say enough positive things about them. They were incredibly kind and respectful while in our home. I am a stay at home mom to 3 small children, and I felt completely comfortable with them in my home and will request them specifically on all future jobs. In addition to their demeanor, they did amazing work! They painted both our basement and laundry room, but our basement, especially, had significant dry wall damage and lots of molding which was nearly falling off and had large gaps and knicks. Now our basement looks stellar. All of the molding has been reattached and the gaps filled in, the drywall looks like new, and the paint edges are crisp and straight. I have zero complaints about the work that was done. Hire them.

Paul and Bryon were the painters. They did a terrific job. Todd came to our house to meet and go over the specifics. He was very professional. All-in-all, my wife and I could not be happier.

Despite unusual cold snap in mid-November, Todd was able to schedule the work to be done before the end of the month. His employee Ray was very thorough about completing the task and made sure everything was done right. Ray was also very meticulous about cleaning up all debris on the garage floor. Although the job actually took longer than originally expected, Todd honored the original quote he gave me and also included an Angie's List discount.

Paul did the painting and did an outstanding job. He showed up on time and was very professional.

Always arrived on time, sometimes earlier than stated. The painters were friendly and respective. Did a great job prepping the outside of the house and painting. Just a little hiccup at the end with a little miscommunication when one person thought they were finished and the other person didn't tell them they were not, but that ended up being funny and they showed up as soon as they found out and completed the small leftover job. Cleaned up their equipment every evening before they left. Cleaned up very well when they were finished. When they had to move something like outdoor furniture they put it back exactly were it had been when they were finished. Very accommodating and easy to work with. Cost more than I had planned or budgeted but I was impressed when I met Todd for the estimate and I am happy with the completed job.

If you are looking for a reliable, professional, hard working, do as promised painting company, this is the only company to use. Todd Cartmel writes a very detailed work estimate, uses top quality paint products, honors his commitment and has the most professional painting crew I have ever worked with. His crew showed up on time as promised. They scraped, sanded, and power washed all the old chipped paint off my home. The primed all the bare spots, caulked the entire home, (not one crack was left exposed), and hand brushed the coats of paint. Chris was the manager of the paint crew and he has a gift for making sure the project is done correctly and that the customer is 100% satisfied. The paint crew showed up on time every day, or if it rained, the made sure to communicate with me when they would attempt to come back on the job. The painters were respectful of both myself and my property and cleaned up their mess every evening before leaving for home. They said please and thank you, never uttered a swear word the entire 2 weeks they were painting my home, and gave 150% in labor, barely taking breaks or lunches. The also took down a satellite dish and prepped the holes, filled in some rotted area with wood cement, and sanded those areas so they looked original to my home. If there were large wood pieces that had rotted, they XX them and arranged for a wood replacement professional to replace those boards and paint to original integrity of my home. I receieved 4 paint quotes from Angie's List in preparation for this project. The Painting Edge was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. You get what you pay for, and you will get a quality paint job, with professional staff, using quality products,& excellent communication and customer service, when you hire this company. I have used this local to Carmel painting company for 21 years on and off as needed. I know when I hire them, the job will be done exceptionally well as promised. Todd Cartmel is thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. He prioritized my concerns every step of the way, answered all my questions, and maintained good communication. His team was efficient and careful of detail. They do great work! They also went above and beyond to do touch-ups and even fixes of damage to the paint job caused by carpet installers who worked after the initial painting was done but before their final inspection and "punch list." I would definitely hire The Painting Edge again and in fact plan to when I'm ready for the next steps in my remodel--the master bath and kitchen. Their paint job rescued two highly outdated bathroom vanities from having to be ripped out and replaced at great hassle and higher expense--they now look like new, and I will have them paint my kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them as well. Highly recommended company for interior painting and drywall.

We were wanting outdoor services this year and they were kind enough to let us know they were not available.

I recently have had many windows and trim worked on/ replaced on my home. Therefore, I needed to have numerous windows re-caulked and painted to match existing house color. I hired The Painting Edge to re-caulk and paint all of windows the house. I cannot say enough good things about their work. They took the time to carefully sand, prep, and clean all of the old caulk off the windows before painting. They very neatly and precisely painted the outside of all the windows as well as opened and painted the inside of every opening window in the house. The color and finish match perfectly and the work is beautiful. I am very happy with their professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail. I am planning to have them re-stain our deck in the spring. I am extremely happy with The Painting Edge.

Todd, the owner, is the most professional person I've ever had do any work on my house. We have used this painting company 4 times and will be using them again in a few weeks and then again next year when our exterior needs to be reprinted. Todd does not do the work himself, but he was great at helping pick out colors. He works with some interior designers and is informed on current trends and versatile colors. His staff are all very courteous and professional. This is not the cheapest painting available but well worth the price, in my opinion. He was later than expected in starting our last project, but he was very good about updating me on the delays, which I have found to be quite uncommon with contractors.

It went very well. The project took seven days. The painters were on time, courteous, efficient and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. The owner of the company checked in several times and kept us current on the painter's timeline. We were very pleased with the results.

What a great experience it was hiring Todd and his crews to paint the interior of our house. Every time these professionals step up to the plate, it?s a grand slam. Our backs were against the wall when we had family coming in for a visit, and we wanted to get the house looking good. I had hired Todd for our front room last Christmas (another grand slam), and Todd made a seemingly impossible job happen. Don't waste your time with the others, this is your guy to get it done. I'll be calling Todd to finish our house and for the next house!!

The experience has been excellent. He is a really good painter. He was very reasonable. The work and the employees stood out. They were really good. We are getting ready to use him again.

We need to have three interior rooms repainted. Two rooms needed a good amount of drywall repair due to the removal of pegboard. They were able to fit us in on a weekend which was convenient for us. Shane did the work and knocked it out in two days. All three rooms look fantastic.

As always, Todd and his crew were amazing. The rooms all looked great. Bottom line, Todd Cartmel is the best contractor I've ever worked with.

Todd and his team were excellent! Todd came out and looked at some water stains on our celing, then provided us a very competitive estimate for the work. He generously squeezed us in to his full schedule and even offered to come out sooner when a spot opened up on his calendar. The 2 painters that did the work were very nice, professional and did a perfect job! We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, and look forward to using this company in the future.

He was prompt and responsive. He was game with deadline. He had short time to do it. He had it done. I would give them all A's.

Everything went fine. They are very busy right now, but they went out of their way to get us in since we were putting our house on the market. They were very nice and pleasant.
