I had cushions on screened porch I was considering cleaning but was not sure it was worth it based on age. A sample cushion was cleaned and I decided to not proceed base on the age of the cushions. I appreciate the no pressure approach.

Great! Jay was very thorough, considerate of our hardwood flooring and our pets while he was working. He pre-treated a number of problem areas that we indicated to him. Although we did not specifically pay for stain removal, the products he used took care of rust and other discolorations in the carpets! It smelled good too when he was finished. We would for sure use him again!

They came to my house, damage appeared after they were done, they refused my calls, refused to come look at it and emailed me that they were sending me half my money and would not come back. Very dissatisfied with service. Carpet is around 2 years old. Carpet is white and called out to clean 2 faint stains on edge of room. Ended up with GIANT BLUE SPOT in middle of room. They handled the whole situation very poorly. I asked to speak to the owner and the service manager would not allow it. As a business owner I know that I would want to know when there is a problem so I can resolve it. This customer service manager just tried to hide the whole thing. I feel like if I could have spoken to the owner he would have seen the situation and at least acted like he would try to figure out what happened, instead of blaming it on me insulting me and trying to strongarm me. I was not home when work was done. Upon arriving and calling they assured me they would call me when they opened the following day to resolve it. They became less than responsive and told me that I offended them, insulted them and refused to come to my house. I am not sure how they would feel if I went to their house and damaged it but I would not expect a normal person to be happy about it. They claimed that their tech did not see the blue spot before he started which makes sense since it was not there. They insulted me by giving me a condescending explanation of carpet cleaning and how I don't understand. I asked if it was possible it came from their equipment. They said that this is not possible. They said I must have damaged it at some point and we are seeing that damage now come to the surface. They have done work for me before and everything went fine, but now when I had a problem they refused to come back to my house. They say they can't afford to send someone out so I had to send them pictures. I sent them pictures and they said they were sending half of our money back and insisted that I never call them again. I told them that making me hang on for a few days with my furniture in my kitchen was very inconsiderate. I called a few of their competitors where I heard the same thing repeated "there is no way we would treat our customer this way." I am waiting on the competitor to come clean it and look forward to having my attorney send that service manager my bill for the damages they created. She wrote me a horrible email instead of trying to resolve the issue. BE CAREFUL with these people. As I said, I had 3 great experiences, when everything went great. As soon as I had a problem these people turned their back, insulted me and hoped I would go away. By treating me the way she did, and refusing to allow communication she has forced me to turn what would have easily been resolved into something much bigger. I hope that no other members have to go through this disaster.
Description of Work: Hired to clean the carpet, left my house with a giant BLUE spot on my white carpet in the middle of my living room.

We were contacted by Mrs. Customer June 10 AM, stating she purchased a $150 gift certificate from a local schools’ auction that we donated & would like her family room cleaned and hall dog vomit removed. Our tech arrived June 20 PM. It was agreed (by Mrs. Customer and our tech) he would clean the family room & hall for our minimum charge of $150. The stains in question may rinse out with a cleaning. If they didn’t, we would come back & remove them at an additional charge. (We did not want to charge for stain removal if they are going to rinse out). (Their conversation on what was paid for the gift certificate, concluded she paid about half ($75)). The paperwork noted, “Clean & deodorize only. No stain work. Enzyme pet application at N/C. DID NOT CHARGE for stain work.” As he was cleaning the family room, blue dye (ink?) started to bleed up from the fibers & spread. This was located in an area where a sofa would be along with a small child’s table and chairs. He stopped & told the customer what was happening. He advised her it may need a repair. The customer & the tech did not see anything prior to starting. Same day, 6:30p Mr. Customer called our Emergency Water Line complaining about the blue area & spots were still there. He was VERY angry. His furniture had been moved out & the house was a mess! (Our Emergency Water Line is answered by one of our office staff at her home.) She tried to explain to him she was not in the office & someone would call him tomorrow. He was very insistent and intimidating. The next morning the office manager was notified about the call. She was researching & discussing with the tech when Mr. Customer called. He was angry we had not contacted him yet! The office manager advised Mr. Customer the blue stain was not there before the tech started. We did not create the stain, a substance could have been deep in the fibers & when water was introduced, the color came up & spread. He said, “That’s crazy talk! You may be able to feed other people this explanation, but it is not physically possible! We can look back on our nanny cams to see if the kids did this! But, our kids are honest and said they didn’t do it! I have an organic chemistry degree & this is NOT possible! There is no logical explanation!” We requested he send us pictures (which is just good business sense before sending someone out). He was very upset he had to do this. We (office manager, technicians, and the owner) discussed the issue. The office manager did not hide anything from the owner. Our employees are certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration). This is what we have been doing every day for the past 20 years. We brainstormed on what else would be invisible to the eye and have a reaction with water. Any powdery substance that is white in color but turns dark when wet, for instance, jello, kool-aid, powdery candy like Pixi-Stix, Fun-Dip, Pop Rocks, etc. could have been the culprit. The blue could not have come from our rectangular wand extractor, the stains were round. The tech also started in the hall area & if the blue came from our equipment, it would be blue throughout the house. We explained all of the above information in an e-mail due to his volatile manner. Before the “F” on Angie’s List, we sent a check for $75 to the customer (the amount spent to purchase the gift certificate). They received $150 worth of cleaning at no charge. In this day and age with harassment, violence, and intolerance, we have decided not to work with angry, intimidating & abusive customers. -Jake
