I asked for an estimate for power washing, staining and resealing my deck. Brian came out to do the estimate and indicated that the stain and seal was still in good shape and I only needed a power wash to just brighten up the wood. He has the time then and so the work was completed that same day.

He is a very big supporter of Angie's List. At the end of his job, he handed me a brochure for Angie's List that has the report form on it, as well as some other information, and gave a little pitch for turning in a report. I think that was an addition to his professionalism and his marketing. He might possibly be a one-man shop. He answered his own phone and he has a cell-phone published on the invoice. He is the owner of the firm.

Brian had power washed and stained our back deck a few years ago. It was time to have it done again. The "noses" or "helicopters" kept coming from the trees or it was forever raining. I should have just called Brian and scheduled the work. Working full time and getting "wedding things" done, the phone call to him just kept getting put on the notorious "back burner". Then, before I knew it, my daughter's wedding was just a few weeks away. I called Brian in a panic as I was hoping to get the deck done before the wedding. There were many of our family and friends coming from the east coast who had never been to our house. I wanted everything to be in order. Brian said he would check his schedule and do the best he could to get it done in a timely fashion. In less than a week's time from my initial call, the deck was power washed and stained. That's more than timely. It looks fantastic! I can't thank him enough for the job that he has done. He is A Number One!

They did a very detailed and through job. They were careful with plants and breakables. They did a great job with clean up. He was a great communicator who takes pride in his work. He showed up on time just when he said he would.

Brian returned my initial call promptly. He called to confirm his date of work and then called to let us know he was on his way. He powered washed the deck on one day and then returned to stain it. The result is a very clean and stained deck. It looks like new. It has retained its fresh look even after the heavy rains and hot sun. We are pleased and will call on him again.

Highly recommend not only for the courteous efficient service but also the added value of Brian's knowledge of decks. He is a specialist and was able to recommend immediately what was needed. He explained the whole process as to pressure washing and staining and sealing. He included instructions on how to protect and maintain the deck going forward.

We were very please with the final product. The color he recommended went very well with the house & the application is very evenly applied. Brian also stained a couple areas not in the original bid as he felt it would have looked wrong if they weren't stained (he did this for no extra charge). Overall, we are very pleased with his work & would recommend him to anyone considering having their deck re-stained & are willing to pay for it. As mentioned, his bid price was on the lower end of the bids -- we were surprised the cost was where it was, but once we received all bids we realized we had unrealistic expectations of the cost.

I would hire Indy Deck Magic in a minute! I called them on one day, and Brian was out the next day to check over our wooden balcony and steps to see about power washing it and putting on a sealer. He looked it over thoroughly and said we didn't need to have it done, and he told us what we could do to spruce it up. What a pleasant surprise; a company that is honest and doesn't try to rip you off. Now if I can just get my husband to do the sprucing up that Brian said.

Outstanding! I have called Brian for the last 4 years to clean our screened in porch. This year I called at 2:00pm, Brian was in the area and arrived within 30 minutes. He always does a great job and is conscientious and thorough.

I can't say enough good things about this company and the work they did for me. Brian was very friendly and professional. He used hot water to wash with and it works a lot better than cold. He also accepted my coupon off Angie's List which saved me $50. The deck looks brand new! I'll never hire anyone else to do this work for me. Brian has earned a life-long customer.

We were very happy with the service, and the color of the stain exactly matched what we had used the last time (when we did it ourselves). The house was completely covered to avoid any accidental stains on the siding, and there was minimal grass damage around the edge of the deck. However, this was unavoidable since our grass grows right to the edge. The whole deck was power washed one day and allowed to dry, then the stain was applied a couple days later. The whole process was very easy and we didn't have to be home during the work (bill was left in mailbox once completed).

Project went great. I had to arrange things long distance, but Brian was very responsive via email and cell phone. We got the project scheduled at a convenient time for me; and once begun it was over quickly. The deck had to dry between the wash and the staining. Powerwash happened Monday, staining happened Thursday. Brian was extremely responsive, polite, helpful and energetic. He also recommended someone to help me epoxy my garage floor- which was helpful and beyond the scope of his business.

Brian Mayes came and looked at my drive, but he is not able to help me. He worked me into his day, and did offer me some options. He was very kind and did not charge me. I did get an estimate on cleaning my siding for future reference. He left a pamphlet of work he does, and his website information is on there. I found his name from Angie's List. I will definitely use his service in the future. He was very professional.

Our new home had a deck that had not been properly maintained. Wood was very thirsty. Brian Mayes did the work. He was very prompt at getting an estimate to us and understood what the deck needed. He performed the work while we were away which was very convenient. Pressure washing was very effective. We were impressed with the life the wood had left. However, the surface of the rails was covered with lifted splinters which made leaning on the rails uncomfortable. The next day, staining occurred once wood dried out. Stain color choice was a nice fit for the colors of the nearby masonry. Two coats were needed in some places due to how dry the wood was. He did not charge anything above the estimate for the additional stain. One complaint we had, was the deck was stained over bird droppings that had occurred in the 24 hours after washing. The stain did not penetrate the wood underneath. Brian was reluctant to restain these areas, but did so at our request.

Excellent. When we first called, he didn't have availability for months, but said he would contact us if in the neighborhood. We checked back in a couple of weeks and he came out that week and completed the job on only 2 days.

Brian called promptly in response to my email to get on his schedule and even called back to work us in on a Saturday since we were a business. The hot water wash took off a lot of the built up grime and dirt and helped us to determine that we could postpone any re-siding at this time since it looked so good. There were a couple of areas where he warned us may not come totally out but even those areas looked a great deal better. He also gave us tips on how to keep it looking good.
