Harry The Handyman

He did a great job. I would definitely use him again. I've recommended him to my daughter and she's having him come out to work as well.

He is a very nice guy and has fair prices. He always arrives when he says that he will and provides an explanation of his charges and the work that he is going to perform.

Harry was punctual and easy to communicate with (by phone and in person). It was clear right away that he was the fellow to correct the design flaw that the original patio builder built into his design. We were both extremely happy with the job he did.

I had a very good experience start to finish. He came out promptly when I called and explained to me exactly what he was going to do and what it would take to rebuild those steps correctly. The work was done correctly and to my satisfaction at a very fair price.

Harry was the only person I could get to come take a look at installing my countertops which I had purchased from Menards. His price quote was excellent and was below what I was expecting to spend. He was able to do the job right away after my countertops were delivered. Installation of the countertops, sink and faucet seemed to go well but he ran into some unexpected issues due to the way my bar sits. At the end of the day my sink, faucet and countertops were installed but the job was incomplete. He showed me what needed to be done to finish the job including removing the bar, cutting supports to fit, installing 2 finish trim pieces to make it look right, installing the bar, gluing it down, all the extensive drywall repair that came from installation and caulking around the countertops along the wall. I also found later that my dishwasher had not been screwed back into the countertops. My first mistake was paying him for an incomplete job but that's what I did. After looking at my kitchen that evening, I realized that there was gaps in the seams and there was a lot of work left to do and I did not hire someone to make more work for myself. I called Harry the next morning and voiced my displeasure and he agreed to come back and fix it and we left it that we would determine the cost later. He said that he thought I just wanted him to install my countertops and I said yes, but it's not done. Harry came back my first available day and fixed the drywall, installed trim and glued down my bar. I offered to pay him for the extra work that I considered to be the trim pieces and he declined. His attitude was less than professional and I was stunned that he considered the condition he left my kitchen in to be complete. Regardless, it's fixed for the most part. The seams are still bad but there's no way to fix them as they're glued together. Obviously from other reports he does good work with other jobs but I'll never consider hiring him again for anything.

Harry is very good about calling back right away if he is in the middle of a job and can't answer the phone right away and is very prompt. He takes the right amount of time needed to complete the job without rushing through and on to the next.

He was prepared for anything. You tell him what you want done and if he says he can't do it he won't do it. He comes out whenever it's convenient for us. He truly is a handyman. He can do anything.

Harry did a superb job.

Harry was punctual and very polite. He did the work in a timely manner and the price was excellent. I didn't feel as if I had been taken advantage of.
