Dominic's Design

I have a cafe table with two chairs in my kitchen. The chairs originally came with loose, sort of flat cushions that didn't go with the my kitchen decor. I always thought of making cushions myself to match the window treatment I had made. However I never got around to it and finally called Dominic's. I was worried that the project wouldn't be big enough, but Jon came right out and listened to my request and got the idea immediately of what I wanted. I wanted the cushions to be plump and attached to the chair seat so they looked like chairs you see in soda shops. I had extra fabric from my window treatment so didn't have that expense as well as I received a senior discount, but the labor and supplies came out more than what I was expecting. However it was worth it to me because I know it would have taken me forever to do the job and it wouldn't have looked as professional as it does. He also added a bit of piping around the cushion where it meets the chair seat. Plus it only took about a week to get them back. They look perfect in my kitchen and are just what I wanted. I would definitely use Dominic's again.

The men showed up promptly at the scheduled time with sample books. I provided the fabric for the overstuffed chair and ottoman, and chose fabrics for the other pieces in a relatively short time. They took my chair and fabric and promised delivery in two weeks. The fabric I picked took two weeks to come in and when they delivered the overstuffed chair, they took the other pieces. They were delivered two weeks later and included throw pillows and arm covers We are very pleased with their work and communications. I can certainly recommend their work.

I didn't work out. They were too expensive. They came out and gave me a quote. The big deal was just to get a quote I think. It was outrageous. They were very nice. They came to my house and I didn't have to take the furniture to them. They were very nice. They had a large selection of materials to choose from. The bad thing was the cost. It was just sky high. They were very responsive.

It went beautifully. They handled the entire process in a very professional manner. They arrived on time for the initial appointment. They were very helpful in helping me choose the fabric from their samples. They ordered the fabric, called me when it came in, and came and picked up the chairs and cushions. A couple of weeks later they returned everything finished. The work they did was exceptional. I am very particular about the work being done as I have done upholstery myself. Needless to say, their work was excellent and I am very pleased with their work. I would highly recommend them and if needed, I will certainly use them again.

They came to our house with two large fabric sample books; looked at our current cushions; recommended new foam to go with the new fabric (cushions are over 45 years old). After we narrowed down the colors they made some suggestions - but without any pressure. They ordered the fabric and after it arrived at their shop they picked up the glider, 1 chair, and the footstool. They returned everything about a week later - it looks very good - they even made a couple of pillows for the glider. The cushions were delivered wrapped in plastic for protection.

The communication was not good. I think it took four months altogether to get the work scheduled and completed. They were very nice and the finished product was beautiful.

Very professional, friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they were able to complete our project on short notice and exactly on time as they promised.

They are a wonderful father and son team, so nice and professional. They showed up when they said they would, they brought back color samples for me to choose from. Gave me an estimate on other furniture I will have redone by them in the future and got my chair back looking great ! They were just a pleasure to work with !!!

Went very well, they had the fabric we wanted, had suggestions and had many choices. The furniture came back looking beautiful and on-time. Highly recommend these gentlemen.

The chairs will not be finished for several weeks but I appreciated Jon's professionalism and the sample fabrics that he brought out.

Dominics came out to give me a quote on my sectional that I wanted recovered . They showed me several fabric samples and provided input on which choice would be best. The pricing was right and I couldn't be happier. They were extremely nice and professional. I would recommend Dominics to anyone and would use them again.

Jon was very helpful and he completed the work earlier than expected. His craftsmanship is unmatched and the family has been in business for decades, with firm roots in north central Indiana. I would recommend Dominics to anyone in need of upholstery work.

Didn?t do the work, I wouldn?t recommend them, and didn?t return the money

I told them what the problem I was having was, and they told me that they are primarily an upholstering company and that they don't do repairs.

Initial contact was through email to get a quote. They showed up promptly at the scheduled time and together we went over each leg and I indicated which legs needed repair. They had the chairs about a week and when they returned them, they looked great! I asked for and received the senior discount. They were courteous, professional and I would highly recommend them for all your upholstery needs.

It DID NOT GO AT ALL. The cost was more than a new Lazyboy Love Seat. The gentlemen said I would be able to get a refund of the $99.00.

When I spoke with the provider they didn’t cover the service I needed. I wanted some chairs re stained and they only do reupholstering.

Bought the "big deal" too get my wife's mothers vanity refinished but the cost was too high.

It is well built, and very sturdy. It appears to be very solid. We provided the material.

I have 6 chairs and I would have to pay the difference. I thought this was too much for this repair and choose to look into other options. The Vendor was nice, just more than I can afford. As I told him, I could buy a new set at some of our wonderful Consignment stores for what it would cost for his repair.

I was surprised that they quoted the job just from pictures I sent. The quote was much higher than what I expected. They were pleasant enough, but I got the feeling they're very busy and weren't too concerned about losing my business.
