Description of Work: Remodeled kitchen adding an island & granite counter tops. From the minute we walked into their show room until completion everyone we dealt with was warm, friendly, & helpful. We can't say enough good things about this Great Carmel business. We are extremely pleased with our new counter top. They work in a timely manner, return calls & emails & are so easy to work with. If you want gorgeous granite counter tops installed in a timely manner that are affordable then use Carmel Countertops.

Description of Work: My husband and I decided to remodel the bathroom before our children came to visit at Thanksgiving. We did the cabinetry but I went to Carmel Countertops for the granite countertop. They were fairly busy but after about 15-20 minutes, I met with Per who showed me a variety of stone slabs outside that he could cut for my project. I selected one but he suggested that I not make a final decision until I brought in a sample of the cabinetry finish. I'm glad he did because I had remembered the color as having more pink than it did. I selected rectangular sinks for my two-bowl countertop and placed the order. He came out to our house to do the measuring and suggested a way to work around a problem with had with the area where it was to go. Even though it was close to Thanksgiving, Per said he'd get it made and installed before the holiday. He was as good as his word: he came a couple of days before Thanksgiving. It looks absolutely beautiful and I felt I got a wonderful value! It just MAKEs the bathroom look gorgeous!

 + -1 moreI called them and visited their store. Per was very knowledgeable, patient and answered my questions. I gave them a drawing with measurements of my kitchen countertops and asked for an estimate. I had to call again and remind them before they sent it to me via e-mail. I sent them questions about the estimate that they never answered. I came back to the project several months later, called the store to ask the same questions about the estimate that I had before. They said they would call me back. They didn't, so I called again and left another message which they did not return. I gave up and went with some body else.

 + -1 moreWe got a quote from a kitchen and bath store and Carmel Countertops. We chose Carmel Countertops because their price was much less for the exact same materials. Their projected delivery time was much shorter, and they invited us to see their shop where fabrication is done. Per and Kathy Laigaard and their employees were all extremely helpful and cooperative throughout our project. The wall behind the desk is not square, but they made the desk top fit it perfectly so no one is the wiser now. And the base for the pass-through top was not entirely level, so they made and installed that piece in a way that disguised the problem. Their years of experience are obvious in the quality workmanship and supported by the major manufacturers authorizing them to offer their materials.
Description of Work: They replaced laminate countertops with Corian and Hi-Macs solid surface countertops and an integrated solid surface sink. This included a large L-shaped section (12' x 4'), two straight sections totaling about 8 feet, plus a desk and pass-through bar. Carmel Countertops measured all the spaces, then made cardboard templates to be sure the new pieces would fit correctly on top of our cabinets and that the backsplash would conform exactly to the wall behind the cabinets. Installation took about half a day. They also hooked up the new faucet and garbage disposal we had purchased and hauled away the old tops, sink, etc. There was almost no cleanup for us to do after they left. The improvement in the appearance of our kitchen is remarkable for the money spent.

 + -1 moreThis company was excellent to work with. They were timely, courteous and professional. I would definitely use them in the future for countertop needs. Once the new countertops were installed, our handyman came to install the new faucets. Our handyman had trouble understanding how the faucets attached properly to the drain area, (it is different than most countertops). I gave the owner of Carmel Countertops a call and talked with him and then had our handyman call and talk with him. He explained it all over the phone very professionally and didn't even seem the least put out by taking all the extra time with us. He is a very professional and kind gentleman.
Description of Work: Measured, quoted, and removed existing and installed new Corian countertops in 2 bathrooms.
