Bedell gave a competitive quote for excavating my front yard to replace roughly 8' of sewer line that was 4 or 5 feet under ground. The appointment was over a week away, and due to problems with the sewer coming back sooner than expected, they were able to come out sooner than the appointed time. They were very friendly, and worked very efficiently. Jay York and his brother do excavation work for Bedell Plumbing, and didn't waste any time at all. While one was in the hole, the other was cutting pipe, and getting things measured and ready. It was an incredible display of teamwork, if I do say so myself. It took them a little over an hour, and I was very confident in their methods of fixing the problem. I thought it was going to be a 6-hour job, but they knocked it out very quickly. Their customer service is awesome, and chances are good you'll get Jay Bedell (the owner) on the phone when you call.

This company is WONDERFUL. For some background of how good, let us explain. We initially had another large name plumbing service come out and give us an estimate...for $11000. They were not going to be able to get it done that same day, so we called another company on Angie's List to get another estimate. To our surprise we got an estimate over the phone (something the other company would not even ballpark) and it was for $600. Not only was it for almost half the cost, but they could come out later that afternoon and get it taken care of. The owner was extremely helpful explaining we had been mislead by the other company about some things they said we HAD to do, to be up with code. He explained that was not so for an electric water heater. These extra "things" they said HAD to be done were going to add to the cost as you can see. So for an owner to give us an estimate and be sooo helpful you can believe we immediately chose them. We were NOT sorry! The worker Alan (sorry we did not catch his last name) was very professional and helpful and not only explained what all we need to do, as far as maintenance, but also knocked out the job in just a couple hours. (the other company said it would be "several hours"_) We will be using this company for ALL our plumbing needs and we found out they do kitchen and bath remodeling too! We highly recommend this company !

They were responsive, I liked that about them. The guy on the phone gave one price, the guy who showed up gave a different and higher price. We ended up paying the higher price. They said there would not be a fee for coming out, they did charge a trip fee. We didn't have good clarity up front, for our estimate.

They did good work. They were on time and very neat. I did think the pricing was little bit high.

Exceptional service. The plumber who came was courteous, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He took care to spread tarps to prevent dirt and debris from falling on carpet. The charge was exactly as quoted in the estimate, even though he ended up doing a little more work. I will definitely use Bedell Plumbing in the future. This was the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing service.

We had an upstairs toilet that was leaking and would not stop running. Water was seeping down through the ceiling to the downstairs living room carpet. It was a Saturday morning and after contacting other companies with no success, Bedell quickly replied that they had a team that had just finished another job and would be right out to fix my problem within an hour. And they did!! Servicemen were polite and gave helpful advice. Everything was cleaned up before they left. Excellent experience.

Neil, the service person was able to replace the silcock, even though there was difficulty where it was located.

Around 3 am during a heavy rain, water began to back up into the tubs and toilets. I relieved pressure on the system by opening the vent on the outside discharge pipe. Next morning, at 8:00 am I called Bedell Plumbing a the southside Indy number and described the problem. they sent a plumber (Neil) to fix the problem. He arrived within 90 minutes. He ran a snake through the pipe and cleared the obstruction which he said appeared to be tree roots. All the plumbing was working well when he left. He arrived on time and took care to cover his shoes when he entered the house. He was very polite, explained everything in detail, and cleaned up the work site afterwards.

When I called them they came out within 24 hours and the leak was fixed immediately. He offered to check the pressure in our lines to make sure they were adequate. We were very pleased with them and I would have them back for plumbing. Their quick response was what I like the most in this circumstance.

Bedell came out promptly,located the leak in the crawlspace, drained it and replaced the well tank in a professional manner.

He had a truck at my home within an hour. They did a great job on all the projects they have done for me. They did the installation of the sewer line in a day. The water heater cost $850. The install of the new sewer line cost $4500; estimate was $5800 so they installed the sewer line cheaper than the estimate.

It went very well. Both men were pleasant and worked efficiently. They quickly diagnosed where the leak was coming from. Even though they had to cut a hole in our downstairs wall and ceiling to get to the part of the pipe that was leaking, they cut the smallest opening they could. They replaced the leaky portion of the pipe quickly. They also replaced the handle and shower head for that same shower. They had to cut a hole in the wall to access the pipes so they could install a new handle apparatus, but they left us with an access door on the wall in case we ever need to access the pipes again. Not our favorite choice cosmetically, but we can hang a picture over it. They left the bathroom as they found it, even sweeping up after themselves. They were a half hour late, but they did call to say they were running late and to make sure the late arrival was okay.

I was very pleased with their promptness, friendliness and cleanliness, because that is always a factor. It was a bit pricey, but for what they did, it was worth it.

Our pipes burst at noon on a Friday. By the time we had the leak and mess under control it was 1:30. Despite how late it was in the day on Friday, Bedell worked very hard to find a plumber to come and get us functional. The plumber was exceptional in the work that he did and in helping me diagnose why the pipe froze in the first place. He even helped to put a washer and dryer back that needed to be moved to get to the leak.

The team was really good. The connections to the leaking toilet were old and they replaced them. Same thing happened with the very old toilet they reconnected. Probably would've been cheaper if they would have suggested to replace at least one of those fixtures (which I would've done). The crew was late BUT when I called the boss to inquire where they were he was very apologetic and explained the situation. He said he was trying to call everyone which was why my call was delayed. The guys also showed us how to drain our hot water tank. Later, as we attempted to drain the tank, the overflow valve got stuck and we left a non-emergency message saying we had no hot water and if they could call sometime tomorrow we'd appreciate it. We got a call back at 6:30 in the morning, and they were back at the house by 7:15 with hot water restored by 725.

The quote they gave me was very reasonable compared to the other company we received a estimate from. The other company was going to do the work by hand but Bedell was going to do it by machine. We are still waiting to receive a third estimate before we decided whether or not to hire them. Estimated cost was $4,000.

They are the best plumbing company I have had service my house. They are very professional and punctual.
