They were prompt, courteous, professional, just excellent. They told me to call them this weekend if the leak got any worse, and they would send someone out right away.

Jay Bedell was very responsive and got someone out to us within four hours of the call. The technician (Mike) did a nice job - cleaned up old equipment left by a prior service provider and showed us how to use the equipment. He provided additional information about a potential replacement water heater. Price for both jobs was as estimated.

The plumber was actually 15 min early in arriving prior to the time scheduled! We were initially thinking we might have to replace the faucet, but after discussing the problems, he reassured me that rebuilding it would take care of the problem at a reduced cost. The rebuild went very well and was to my satisfaction -- no drips, no leaks!! He then replaced the 2 bath room sink metal drain traps (which were showing signs of leakage) with PVC drain traps. The job was performed quickly and the quality of the work was excellent for an affordable price. Considering it was performed on a Saturday, I was not charged for overtime, as I was a customer who has used him repeatedly in the past. Jay Bedell also gave me a 2 for the price of 1 on the 2 bathroom bathroom sink drain traps because I was a repeat customer! I will definitely use him in the future.

I expressed interest in a regular vs a power vent gas water heater. The quotes were about 30% higher than others, plus he tried to sell me a new water softener, when there's nothing wrong with the one I have, it's only three years old and is working fine. He also trash-talked a few of his competitors.

We had an issue with our sump pump in the basement. The check valve wasn't staying attached to the PVC pipe, and needed to be replaced. I was also curious and wanted to discuss a battery backup option. Doug came out to the house, was very courteous, prompt and responsive. You could tell he knew what he was doing; very knowledgeable. He immediately identified what needed to be done upon arrival. Wasted no time and swapped out the check valve. He took the time to discuss the differences between the two battery backup options they offered and came out the next morning to install. They threw in the previous day's work ($125 charge) for free, and Doug even realigned and corrected the PVC pipe itself free of charge (after relocating the check valve to the pit). All I was charged was the price of the gel battery backup. It's hard to find a plumber that's very reputable and trustworthy. If I have plumbing issues in the future, I won't hesitate to pick up the phone and call Bedell Plumbing. Absolutely fantastic to work with. Thanks again, Doug. Very pleasureable experience.

Everything went well. The plumber came out to replace the seal in the upstairs toilet. However, he found that the problem was with the trap in the upstairs bathtub. He replaced it and now for the first time in ten years I have no methane gas leaking into the house when I run the water in the upstairs sink. I also had him repair a drain in the downstairs bathroom. I love this company!

I called Bedell in the hopes of getting an appointment the following day to clean our clogged drain They actually had time the day I called to send someone to the house. Thye called before coming, showed up on time, fixed the drain effeciently (without charging for a service call) and cleaned up afterwards. The technician was polite, professional and informative. I will definitely be calling them again for plumbing work to be done. In fact, we asked for an estimate on other work and ourtechnician called in the request while he was at our house. The owner took my phone call after 5pm. He gave me an estimate over the phone (some places require a trip charge to do an estimate, not Bedell). Forwarned me that due to my location, there may be an excessive water pressure issue. He also gave me a professioanlly put heads up regarding the other MFG I was considering from a big box store. Sure enough, I did a quick internet search on that other MFG and found page after page of unhappy customers. I called Bedell back, well after 6pm and scheduled the install for this afternoon. They showed up on time, did the pressure test, installed the replacement water heater, installed the pressure management system, removed the old water heater. They even put the water heater blanket back on and redid the pipe insulation to fit the new installation. Second time I've used Bedell and they are now my go-to for plumbing needs.

Plumber arrived on time and quickly assessed the problem. He was able to use an electric snake to unclog the sink. The clog was very deep in the pipe. He was able to correct the problem within a short period of time. Very considerate plumber.

We had what I'd consider a plumbing emergency: something had been leaking under our kitchen sink and had created mold in the cabinet. Called and received immediate estimate over the phone. And they came our within a couple of hours. We were told the garbage disposal drain was leaking and needed to be completely replaced. I'm not entirely sure it needed to be completely replaced, but I was so happy that they could come out immediately to fix it, and that they had the parts, that I didn't mind paying for a new disposal installed by them. They are salesmen, along with being excellent plumbers.

They did a very good job. My husband was very impressed.

Called Bedell Plumbing for an estimate. They quoted a total price of $154. I was pleasantly surprised that they could come out the same day since this was not an emergency. I accepted the price since Lowes was quoting $110 for installation and in the past their installation which we purchased in the past was satisfactory at best. Mike, the plumber, showed up on time with a partner Jay Jr. and went to work right away. Mike was very experienced. He had Jay retreiving tools while he was performing the work. Mike kept the area clean while he was working. He was efficient and was done in less than one hour. GREAT JOB!

My old water heater was leaking at it's base on New Year's Day. I called around to see if I could get service on a holiday and Bedell offered to come out that day to replace my water heater without extra charges for travel or holiday. The other companies had extra charges or were not available on New Year's Day or only had one brand available. After being told how to shut down the water heater and drain the faucets, I decided to wait until Monday so I could have time to investigate other offers and brands of water heaters. Bedell Plumbing was here first thing Monday morning. The installer was prompt, knowledgeable, thorough, and left the area clean. Before he left he made sure all the air was removed from the pipes and the temperature of the water was set to my liking. He also explained how to adjust the temperature if needed. He reinstalled the water softener and checked to see the programming was set. The reason the price was as high as it was is because I picked the larger 50 gal Rheem Marathon fiberglass hot water heater, top of the line, lifetime guarantee. Bedell was actually less than the other plumbers I called, did not charge extra for travel, and they knew and gave me their experience with repairs of all the major brands I was considering which helped me make my decision. They were also able to obtain the brand and model I wanted immediately. The other plumbers I called only considered the price and did not give me their experience with repairs or qualities of the various brands; they had to read me the information on the various models or said they had to order and wait for the model I wanted. Overall a very good experience with Bedell Plumbing.

When I first called Bedell Plumbing, a friendly and helpful worker took my info and scheduled my appointment. When he heard we didn't have running water, he spontaneously volunteered to put me on the top of the list for the next day, rather than later. I really appreciated this kind gesture. The repairman, Brian, arrived promptly at the scheduled time with a pleasant demeanor and kind and helpful attitude. He was very knowledgeable and very competent in performing the tasks required, and worked in an efficient manner. He also answered a few general questions with great patience. I never felt as if he was trying to sell any extras unnecessarily. He did, however, make some suggestions of things to watch and to keep an eye on for potential problems, which I appreciated. The job went better than expected and the price was within my range of expectations. I'd definitely call this company for any future plumbing issues.

EXCELLENT! They worked well within my time frame and after the repair was done they actually charged less than both quotes given. We had an intermittent leak from somewhere in our spare bathroom. The Bedell technician investigated where the leak could be coming from and determined it was from the toilet. He replaced the wax ring and had to add a spacer to make a good seal.

Talked with Jay over the phone, told him I heard water spraying under the house and my sump pump was running almost constantly. Jay said he had a man very close to my house on another job and he would send him here as soon as he was finished with the other job. Mike showed up within half an hour, went straight into the crawl space under my house and diagnosed the problem. He came out and gave me an estimate of the cost. He turned off the water outside, completed the job quickly, and explained to me that I'd hear air in the pipes due to the water being shut off and that was normal. The charges were exactly what he estimated. As it happens I had a dead battery in my car that day. Mike was nice enough to push the car out of the garage for me so the battery could be jumped. I was pleased that there was not a separate service call, and I didn't have to sign a maintenance/service contract like so many other companies require to get a good price. He was very nice and professional. The leak is fixed and the sump pump is no longer running all day and night.

Very professional, knowledgable and helpful. I was impressed at the response time and when giving an estimated time of arrival, they were very accurate. I'm happy to say, I've found a new plumber and will be using this organization again in the near future for installations.

Talked with Jay and got an estimate over the phone, and decided since we'd have the guy here he might as well put the tap in as well. Very punctual, from time of call to arrival of Brian (the plumber) was less than 2 hours. Brian was fantastic, answered any and all questions, made sure everything was cleaned up, and that the whole house pipeline was free of air once we turned the supply back on. Double checked our supply pressure and provided a quote for an expansion unit if we wanted too (78 PSI) close to the limit I gather. But NO HARD SALES...super experience start to finish. Couldn't recommend more highly.

This was an involved job in the cellar of our business. The old heater and ducts and new heater and parts had to be carried up and down steep stairs. They came the next day after our call and completed the work in 4-5 hours. Since hot water is critical to our business (bed and breakfast), this prompt service was greatly appreciated.
