Installed kitchen faucet at cost of $175 (faucet supplied by customer). Plumber asked if I wanted shut-off valves replaced at cost of $35 each. I asked if they were OK and he indicated that they seemed to be working OK. I declined replacement. We noticed later that day that the water pressure from the hot water facucet was much lower than normal. I called and asked that someone come out and evaluate the problem. Jay indicated that they would come back and fix the problem charging only for parts. When then plumber arrived he indicated the hot water valve should be replaced and recommended doing both valves at a cost of $140. I refused the service since it was not in-line with what I was told, being well above the cost of the parts.

Called on monday and they fixed it on Wednesday. Fair price and works great. Very pleased

It was excellent work. They're honest and don't try to sell services that are unneeded.

He didn't know how to do anything. He kept calling his boss and offering us very high prices. I was very disappointed.

I called Bedell plumbing, and they answered the phone each time. The issue began on wednesday night. he had a tech come out first thing thursday morning to diagnose the problem and let me know what has to be done. I needed water back in the house immediately, so I called them back and he fit me in to their schedule on Friday. The tech called. came out, performed the job in an expedient manner and was very professional. I am going to be using them for the complete repair. I would definitely reccommend them.

The person I spoke with on the phone said the problem sounded like it was the fill valve, but he recommnded replacing that along with the flapper since when one part fails, the others tend to follow shortly. He explained that the parts were inexpensive-- most of the cost was associated with the labor. There was no trip charge. It was a minor repair, so i was surprised that the technician took so long to do the work. He kept going in and out of the house. It turns out they didn't have the appropriate flapper, even though I told the gentleman on the phone that I had a Kohler toilet. One of the times he went outside, I felt the house shake briefly and simultaneously make an odd sound. I looked out the window and saw the repairman with some type of valve. I opened the door to find out what was going on and discovered the repairman on the walkie talkie, speaking with an associate from his office. He was being asked, "why is it taking so long?..." Did you run the water pressure test? ......" The repairman answered "10-4" to both questions. It was as though he didn't want to discuss the repair job in front of me. He quickly ended the walkie-talkie conversation. I asked about the valve he was holding and he proceeded to tell me about the water pressure test he had just conducted. Of course, he found our pressure was too high, but for an estimated $425, he could install a valve that would alleviate that pressure and make our appliances run more efficiently and increase their longevity. I told him I'd discuss it with my husband. I didn't appreciate that he didn't ask permission to run the test. I would have permitted it had he asked first. Instead, I was startled and felt like he was fishing for additional business. When I asked if he was all done, he said he'd have to order the Kohler replacement flapper and return to install it. When I asked if I should pay for the entire job or just that portion that was completed, he had to go back out to his truck again! The official answer was that I should pay for everything except the missing part, and he'd be back to install the flapper when it came in. I was told it would just take a few days. It has now been over two weeks, and I have not been contacted. At this point, I'm tempted to just wait until the flapper fails, order it myself from Lowes and have my husband install it, even though I paid the labor for them to take care of it!

Bedell's contact arranged a convenient time for an estimate. Bedell's Jim arrived promptly and gave an estimate,which was lowest. I chose Bedell. Jim said he could do it right away and he did, because he had all necessary materials on the truck for my 1938 home. He started working right away. He worked continuously until he was done about 6 hours later.

Our 12 year old Rheem water heater started leaking Saturday night (of course). We decided to avoid an extra fee to wait until Monday to have a new one installed. I called Bedell Plumbing and talked with Jay. He was very professional and courteous and answer my questions. He quoted a price over the phone, $2200 for a new Rheem Water Heater. Since I read several good reports on Bedell's on Angie's List I asked if they could do the install on Monday. He said he would send an installer sometime between 8 and noon. Monday morning around 9 a.m. Jay called and said the installer would be here around 11:00. At 10:45 the installers arrived with the new water heater. Both of them were also professional, and they were very careful about keeping the floor clean. The only unexpected thing was they had to leave for about 30 minutes to get new fittings since our present ones were not adequate. I agreed to it for an extra charge of $25. The install was completed around 2:30. I'm very pleased with the quality and speed of the installation. I probably could have waited and found a less expensive install (according to the prices in reports on Angie's List), but it was worth the cost to have the installation done in a timely manner, with friendly and efficient installers. We have hot water again!

Had an 11-12 year old 40 gal. AO Smith water heater that had begun to leak at the top of the tank. Old drain pan had been punctured and had to be replaced as this is on the 2nd floor. They were pleasant, professional, and punctual. Only gripe I have is that the new drain pan had a $75 price tag which seems steep when there is virtually no extra labor required to replace it. Overall, it was a top-notch job.

He goes above and beyond for us. I'm happy to recommend him. They put in commercial water softeners, which are ugly, but we got a good price. I liked Bedell Plumbing when I called them because they seemed to know what they were talking about. They were careful to keep our floors clean and were patient when I explained our problems. Our water problem was frustrating for many years. Now, we can see a huge difference. I couldn't say enough good things about them. They are our plumber of choice.

When I called Bedell, I explained the situation and he quoted me $135.00 to install the shut off valve. They never mentioned places to check for a valve other than behind the fridge. When the technician came out and said he was going to install the valve under the sink I was surprised. When he went to do so he discovered there was already a shut-off valve installed under the sink that ran to the icemaker. He answered questions about changing the filters to the water filtration system while he was looking under the sink. Then he called his boss to see how to handle the situation since there was no work to be done. He got off the phone and said he had to check the water pressure on my hose, outside. When he came back inside he brought the bill for $105.00. I asked how we were going to settle up, since nothing needed to be done. I was willing to pay for a service call, but $105 seemed a bit high considering I was going to pay $135 when we thought there was work to be done. I wrote the check beause the service guy was there and I didn't want to take anymore of his time. I called the owner after the technician left to dispute the charge. He told me that only option would be to have someone install the shut off valve. This afternoon I called him back to ask if he could work with me on this. He became very irritable and told me that he had wasted far to much time on this and he would just tear up the check and be done with it. I had asked what the minimum service fee was and he told me there wasn't a set fee it was all determined by the job and what they found upon arrival. If this experience had only been involving the technician that came to my house, this would have been a very different story. He was very knowledgable and professional.

They were able to send a guy out the same day with a new water heater to replace the leaking one in my basement. He was professional and did a good job replacing the water heater. He was friendly, visited and explained the work he was doing as he did it. He even extended the vent into the sump pump cover so that it wouldn't spill all over the floor, something the last installer did not do.

They went above and beyond, we could not be happier. I highly recommend them for any plumbing or sewer work. They even laid new grass for us in the areas they had to dig around. The new grass is looking good. The owner himself has come back, to make sure everything is okay and that were happy.

I really like them. I’ve used them several times. They’ve done a really good job. They are on time. They actually schedule a specific time for them to come out rather than giving a morning or afternoon window. Some of the companies give a morning or afternoon window and one would have to give up pretty much half their day. They were willing to schedule the time with me which I really liked. They were professional and did a good job. Their price was reasonable too. It’s a good company. I probably will use them again.

They were wonderful. They advertise in the magazine. My daughter also used them. I liked that they did extra things that they did not need to do, but that was fine. They were really very helpful. I would tell others that this company is just trustworthy and good.

Excellent service from my calling them to when job was complete. No B.S. -just honest answers and good advice. Knew what to do and had the tools with them to do it. Job completely in timely manner and fully functional.

They were very quick and prompt in coming out to prepare the estimate and very courteous. Answered all of my questions and were very patient. They were out to do the work in less than a week. When the guy presented the estimate I asked how long the work would take and he advised they would book the whole day for the job. The work was completed in just under 5 hours and they left no trace that anyone had been there. The work was completed exactly as presented in the estimate and the work crew was very professional. I would use Bedell again without reservation and would readily recommend them to anyone that asked.

They did real good. I really liked them. He was here for a long time and did a lot of work. He also gave me a lot of good pointers. I will not use anyone else besides them in the future. Jay Bedell spoke to me over the phone and gave me a lot of good pointers as well.

I was really pleased with all the work done in my house. Will be using them again. Pat did great job,he was on time and was very professional. He explained everything that needed to be done and was able to take care of everything quickly. He was able to fix a problem with my outside faucet that. Another plumber had left partially done. I called Bedell and a plumber was here within two hours. Robert was very friendly and professional. He stated that to snake the drain would cost 105. The small pipe was a challenge for him to snake due to the angles in the pipe but he was able to clear it with a lot of hard work. In March I had ARS come out to snake the main line which is larger straight pipe that took only 20 mins and I was charged 193. Robert was at my home for 1.5 hours and made sure the problem was fixed before leaving. Robert still only charged me the 105.00 even though the job was a little more complicated than what it originally seemed. Robert provided me with his direct phone number in case any other issues with the drain occurs. This is my first time using Bedell and was very impressed and will definitely use again.

Went well. Initially he tried to fix what was there to save time/money. when that wouldn't work he replaced it.

They fixed the same problem in 2009 (leaky pipe that previous contractor did not repair properly plus recaulk). Previous contractor claimed that chalking would be gone after 9 months but this was a total lie.....the repairs not only held up but thrived! Since the water heater was due for a drain cleaning, I had them do a check up anyway. By chance, the owners son, Jay was present (I didn't ask for him but Jay Bedell Jr is a nice fellow). Bedell Jr supervised Travis's work, and also answered politely any questions I had as I am deaf. I will use them again.

They are very personable. They explain everything to you. They did a good job. Their price is comparable.

It went very well. Travis installed a bathroom faucet. He also checked another plumbing issue and was able to fix the problem.
