They were very responsive, they have a low price, and they gave me some great advice. They suggested that I get some other work done and after I called the homeowners they agreed, so Bedell came right back out to do the work. They are knowledgeable people and they provided quick service. I believe that they were right on time. I would definitely use them again.

We have had them many times so we trust that they are accurate and that they are charging us to fix only what is wrong.

I used them late summer. I would use them again in the future.

We got them from Angie's List. We had pipes that were corroded and were leaking in the basement. They had to replace all the piping and then cover the leak. Both our water heaters were damaged. They had to replace both of them along with electrical panels for safety issues. They did a great job. We called three people off of Angie's List, and they were the only ones that could come out that evening and take care of it. They were extremely responsive and extremely friendly. They came out within 60 minutes from when we called. They were also reasonably priced. We were very pleased with them.

I called at 8:00 in the evening, the plumber was there with parts early the next morning and got everything taken care of in an hour or so at the price that had been quoted. He also checked water pressure in the house. Everything was clean and working when he left!

I was happy with them. He was prompt and diagnosed the problem.

I called and explained the issue to Jay. He said that it sounded like it was likely the pressure switch needed replaced and that he could have someone over to fix it within an hour or two. He mentioned that there was approx a $270 charge for it being after hours (Saturday morning even though it says they are open on Saturday), but that the charge would go towards fixing the issue (a new switch was about the same price). That was fine so approx within the 2 hour window mentioned Josh shows up. Josh goes to the crawlspace to assess the situation and decides to change out the switch. He then advises that we needed a new fuse. He advises that there is a way around getting a new fuse or that he would need to go buy new fuses. I advise him to go ahead with the fuses as I would rather it trip than the breaker. He asked where the closest Lowes was and I mention there is a Home Depot a lot closer. He said that is fine and asked a general idea of where it was. He mentioned they don't have an account there though. He comes back about 45 mins to an hour later with fuses from Lowes which was a lot further way (which i suspect is the 105 in labor to drive there). He proceeds to replace the fuse. He turns on the water to find out that the issue still is not fixed. There is not enough pressure to turn the hand held sprayer on at the sink. He advises that the issue is now the grounding wire. He goes back into the crawlspace to adjust it. Still doesn't work. He advises that we need to allow the pressure tank to build up pressure and that it would over time. Well it didn't so he then tells me we can try to go around the fuse (which i just was charged $115 for) and just put the wires together because the fuse wasn't seating correctly and only allowing 1/2 pressure (but mentioned if this didn't work his boss told him to stop). He mentioned that if this didn't fix it that it would be an electrical issue and we needed instead to have an electrician come out. He goes down to the crawlspace and comes back up. No change in the water pressure. He shows me the old fuse and box to walks out the back door and drives away. Just leaves. So now I am stuck with a bill for $392 (which I will be disputing) and am in no better shape. I will be calling a different plumber to come out and "finish" what should have been fixed already. While I appreciate them coming out on a Saturday, the issue wasn't fixed=waste of time for both parties. *Update: 12/13: I have contacted Jay to attempt to resolve this issue. We have come to an agreement to waive some of the fees. I do believe they contributed to fixing the problem by replacing the switch. Unfortunately there were other problems present that should have also been addressed. Now that the issue has been resolved by another company, it was determined that the well pump was also an issue. I appreciate Jay for working with me on resolving this issue promptly.

We have used them in the past and we really like them. My husband at one point tried somebody cheaper. Neither of us were as happy so we went back to Bedell, because they were more reliable. They were more honest. They were on time. Their pricing was actually the same as the previous company we had problems with. If I need another plumber Bedell Plumbing is who I will use.

Jason was the technician and went right to work to open the drain. It took about an hour. Jason was professional and did a good job.

I called Jay Bedell at around 11:30 AM and told him that I wanted a battery backup for my sump pump. Jay explained all my options told me about what the cost would be. He had a crew in the area and Patrick and Josh arrived around one hour later. We discussed what I needed and they then provided me a written estimate on the spot. They called back to Jay and he immediately found the parts required. Patrick and Josh went off to another job and then returned at about 2:00 PM to install the new equipment. They took about two hours to finish.There were quick, clean and efficient. I would highly recommend the company and both Patrick and Josh. I will call them for my next job!

They came out twice and I thought they were professional. I think they did a good job.

Plumber arrived on time. He covered his work shoes so as not to soil the carpet. Since the old faucet had no brand name, he recommended Delta replacement kit. He had to enlarge the opening (we have a one piece tub walls unit). He needed to cut out the old fixture and put in new copper unit. He left no mess. Price seemed little high. Promptness and professional.

We contacted the company regarding a move of a water softener from one house to another but they offered a better deal to install a new softener. We arranged for installation and they were here on time and performed the work within a few hours. We're very happy with the WaterBoss softener as it has solved all our water issues.

Everything was excellent. The company, itself, were great with listening to what we wanted and were respective of my home. They were very professional, friendly, and would do anything to get the job done correctly.

Everything went very well. I was able to set a specific time and they were early and waiting for me. The wall entry was very neat and floor cleaned up so I did not have to do anything after they left. They were very professional and efficient. I would definitely call them again.

When I called to get an estimate to set up the appointment I explained that I had a brand new toilet to put in and the old one would need to be removed. They quoted $125 and said if there was a problem with a mechanism in the old toilet it could be as high as $250 depending on the part that was needed. We set the appointment up. When I had had my initial conversation with them no one asked me about the new toilet, ie: if it had already been assembled and where it was located. When the service man came he found out that the new toilet needed to be assembled still. He said he had to call his boss. He then told me that he would have to charge $150 to assemble the toilet. I found the workman to be sullen. He did the work, put in the toilet and cleaned up after himself. I was not happy with the fact that they changed their estimate. I will not higher them again considering that they did the work that was originally quoted for $125 for $150. I was never asked any questions about my toilet.

I had a backed up sewage line. I called Bedell early on Monday morning and they promised to call as soon as they had a truck free. They called back within a couple of hours and Jim arrived exactly on time to snake the line. He first went into the crawl space to ensure that the piping was all intact and to identify where then sewage line left the house. His first inclination was to use a larger machine but we discovered that it would not fit through my guest bath door (it's a 23" door.) So he brought in his smaller machine and snaked the line. Unfortunately, the smaller machine did not get to the clog. So, we removed part of the door frame and Jim worked hard to work the bigger machine into the room without damaging the door frame or walls. The second machine was able to reach the clog - which ended up being outside in the yard - but was unable to clear it. Jim worked about 3 hours on evaluating the situation and snaking the line - even though his hand got caught in the snake when it bucked back on him. He had to be in pain but never lost control of his professionalism and completed the work. Since I did not have an exterior clean-out, that left us with the options of either installing a clean-out and snaking from there or replacing the pipe. Jim called Jason, who runs their excavating crew, to come over and give me an estimate for both options. Jason's belief was that the pipe was broken and, after considering it for a bit I had to agree since I had smelled something rotten in the yard on Saturday but had been unable to identify it. Jason quoted $3000 for replacing the pipe and $1200 for just adding a clean-out and re-snaking but recommended replacement. Jason then worked with me to schedule for getting the work done on Wednesday. I wasn't able to be home on Wednesday so Jason called me once the work was complete, answered my questions about what they found and how much he thought they had impacted a large maple tree that the pipe had to pass next to. The crew left the lawn as clean as they could have all things considered. The mound of soil above the pipe is much larger than I expected so I will be anxious to see how much of it settles down and how flush it will be with the rest of the yard. Both Jim and Jason were very professional, answered all of my questions, worked with me to determine a plan of attack, gave me pointers on how to nurse the system through the day it would take to get the appropriate permits and took precautions to ensure they did not track dirt into the house and the equipment did not do any damage as it was hauled in and out.

Overall, it went exactly as I requested. They did everything I asked for.

I called Jay Bedell on Sunday morning and scheduled an appointment for the next day Monday at 8:00 AM. He estimated the price, based upon my description to be between $175-225.00. The plumber arrived 15 minutes early--I was pleased--and proceeded to change the internal valve components. He experienced some difficulties loosening components---which proved it would have been a difficult job for me to complete without causing more problems. The bill was $225 and I applied the Angie's LIst Discount = $20.I have used Bedell several times and Jay is always extremely flexible, friendly and easy to get along with. I recommend Bedell Plumbing for any job large or small.

We have used them several times. They ended up having to come back twice because the job wasn't done right the first time. It was kind of a mess. I don't know if I would use them again.

The service technician was knowledgeable, helpful, and was able to get our drain line cleared from our laundry area, which had been draining slowly. He wasn't able to get through to the bathtub drain where we also have a slow drain problem, and said we would need to essentially replace the bathtub in order to gain access to the pipes.

Patrict was very professional and polite. He first tested the water pressure to make sure that was not the cause of the malfunctioning toilet. Then, he proceeded to replace the stop at the water line and the toilet pump inside the stool. The whole thing take less than 30 mins. Two thumbs up!
