Never responded to their emergency number.

Our sump pump quit on us sometime over the holidays and the water flow backup must have run constantly until it became detached from the pipe. When I went to the basement there was water on the floor but fortunately I caught it early enough and was able to pump it out after reattaching the backup. I checked Angie's List and found Bedell and gave them a call. It was a Sunday morning so I new it would be a little more costly for the emergency weekend service. I spoke with Jay on the phone and he immediately quoted me a price and said he could have someone out within 2 hours. 90 minutes later Travis arrived. He was very friendly and personable and got right to work. The entire install of the new pump took about 20 minutes. Everything was cleaned up afterward. We were very pleased with the service and responsiveness of the company and will definitely use them again in the future.

I called Bedell's 24 hour emergency number and spoke with a live person that listened to the problem and then took my contact information. He told me that the person on call would contact me a short time later. I received a call from Pat about ten minutes later. He said that it would be about two hours before he could be there since he had to go in the opposite direction to get the service truck. He arrived in just a little over one hour. He immediately looked over my situation and went to work. He put down drop cloths to catch any additional overflow and protected the floor and wall where the drain snake machine was to be operated. After about ten minutes of running the drain snake the clog was dislodged and the standing water/sewage immediately went down the floor drain. He then ran water in all the fixtures in the house to ensure proper flow of water to the sewer. He cleaned up all his equipment and even cleaned the area where the backup occurred with several cleansing solutions. He then did a free water pressure check and gave me several suggestions as to how to reduce the chances of further clogging problems. Pat was the epitome of a professional...very friendly, polite, efficient and capable. Since he was able to come to my assistance on such short notice,(on the Sunday afternoon the day before Christmas Eve) we were able to keep our plans of having our entire family gathering for Christmas Eve dinner and spending the night at our house to be together on Christmas Day! He cheerfully honored the $20 Angie's List discount coupon and the bill was for only $190...less than one half of the "minimum charge" that another company quoted me in an earlier attempt to find some help. The next time I need to hire the services of a plumbing company, I will be calling Bedell's Plumbing! Thanks SO MUCH Pat!

Our service was great. It was very cold, windy and snowy the morning of our service call. In spite of that Travis from Bedell arrived just after 8 am. Took about 45 minutes for him to clear drain. Very polite & professional. Cleaned up everything so no mess was left. Sink drains great, service was excellent and he was quick. Will definitely contact them for work on bathroom which we hope to update after first of year.

I tried my best not to have to call a plumber and to use a drain snake to fix the clog. After doing it 4 times I was still not able to fix the problem so I made the call. I called at 2p.m. and was told if I really needed them to come out that same day they could try to fit me in but if not they had an 8 a.m. open the next day. I told them I had this issue for the past few days so it could wait until the morning. The guy came just a few mins past 8 a.m. and got right to work. He explained everything and after about 30 min. he got through the clog and then put everything back together. He also did a free water pressure test. Excellent service and very nice to have someone explain what they are doing and ways to help keep the drain clear (like not using the disposal very often). Because of the service and price I will not hesitate again to call this company. Excellent job!

They explained clearly what I needed and gave me options. There was no pressure. They came when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. I though their price was fair.

Repairman arrived 1st thing in the morning. Upon measuring the piping needs he had to return to the shop for parts. Returned and completed repairs by mid-afternoon. Gas company came out to turn gas back on and test. Upon testing, it was discovered that a junction hadn't been sealed properly. The Bedell repairman corrected it on the spot & passed the leak test.

We had an excellent experience with Bedell Plumbing. Called the West Indy number (4 different numbers to serve your area of Indy) and the man on the line was polite and efficient. Told me we'd have a plumber to the house within the hour to make an estimate/provide work. Plumber named Patrick arrived in less than an hour, was extremely polite and friendly, well kept, and very knowledgeable. Asked me to show him the problem, then he went to work and fixed it up like new. The entire visit took less than 90 minutes. He also inspected a shower drain tied into the same line and gave recommendations about future problems. Did not try to sell us on anything we didn't need. Gave a very fair estimate on a new water softener if we decided on it. Overall, an excellent experience, fair price, will use again, and will recommend to anyone.

I was at home with a sick child the day before we were supposed to go out of town. When I went down to the basement to grab a suitcase around noon, I stepped into about an inch of water in our unfinished storage area. I found Bedell Plumbing on Angie's List and Jay (owner) had a truck in my driveway within an hour. Eric (worker) was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. By the time he got there the water had spread and was much deeper. I had managed to salvage a lot of stuff before it was ruined, thank goodness. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken sump pump (which is what we figured anyway) and quoted me $484 for it to be replaced. I also saved $20 with the AL discount, which was nice.

I called early Monday morning and described the situation. The person I called said they had a truck that would be available at 9 am. They called back before 9 and told me someone was on the way and his name. When Travis arrived, our leak had seemed to disappear. He was determined to figure out what caused the problem. He determined a section of PVC for the drain for the water softener wasn't long enough and that a joint in the main stack wasn't lined up properly. He told me how much it would cost for the repair before he started working. Everything seems to be fine now.

The plumber arrived punctually and completed the requested work timely. Explained all questions we had in detail. Overall, a very good experience and was half the price that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing estimated. Will definitely stay with local services.

It went really well. The valve was frozen, so it was very difficult to remove, but he was very upfront with what the outcome might be. He went ahead with the work and was very methodical with the steps he took in the repair. The outcome was very good and he fixed some other small issues as well. He also reset a toilet that was leaking and did minor rebuild on the flushing mechanism. Eric, in particular, was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, careful to tell me the details of our possible outcomes and a good communicator. He did a super job and knew what he was doing.

We called them on the 20th, and said we found water on the basement floor around our water heater, and asked what that meant and the gentleman said that we might have a leak and could mean the possiblity of needing a new water heater, but that they would check that out when they arrived, and how soon did we want them. We made arrangements for the very next morning . They arrived and after checking over everything, the decision was a new waterheater. They had one on the truck and everything was taken care of quick and very neatly. I asked about a shower head after the heater was installed, and he showed us what they had, and we decided to have the old one replaced, while he was there, as the price was right and no extra installation charge would be made. We have had Bedell before in 2011, when they did a terrific job replacing our old sewer connection from the house to the city connection at the street. I commented on it when it was done. This is one outstanding family owned company, and one that we are so happy to be dealing with.

They did a nice job. They worked hard the entire time they were there. They kept me in the loop the whole time they were there. They explained things to me.

The booking was easy and the plumbler was on time and professional. The only thing that we did not like and would be the reason for not using them again is that he kept trying to sell us a new product. That had nothing to do with our problem. We heard his pitch and said no thank you but he kept bringing it up again and again. This was very annoying.

Called Bedell because my water heater wasn't working and they came out right away quickly diagnosing that my old water heater had a leak (water everywhere when they took off the lower panel) and quoted me a price of $1500 to replace it ( a little high but their already here). One guy drove back to the shop to retrieve an 80-gallon heater while the other prepared the area. All in all they were very punctual, neat, professional and courteous. Good job.

I called them on Monday and I was able to get an appointment the next day. Travis arrived on time for the appointment. He did what he said he would do and didn't track anything inside my home by wearing booties. He charged what I was told it would be - which included a $20 off coupon for being an Angie's List member - and most importantly he fixed the problem.

Sunday toliet did not flush. Went to the warranty company that recommended a plumber I had problems with in the past (of which I gave a F rating). Arranged for an appt of which took place on Tuesday...i avoided the night time and we managed to use toliets elsewhere. Problem was a broken flapper that needed replacement. The guy Traviscame in and fixed the problem. He was patient in explaining things to me and told me flappers need to be relaced every five years. In the case of minor rebuild, the price seems to be reasonable. I was willing to pay it because of the service and willingness to work things out. They threw in two other things (a valve and one other i can't remember).

I am very happy with Bedell Plumbing!! Even though I told them it was not an emergency, the office told me that they had a truck working near my area and would see if they could get to me in same day. Called me back in minutes, and plumbers arrived within an hour! Fantastic service. Our outdoor spigot was replaced, and they suggested installing an emergency shut-off valve in crawlspace (where they were working anyway) Added $25 to original quote, but with free service call and $20 discount coupon on Angie's List we only paid 5 bucks for extra parts and work. The gentlemen told us how to help winterize outdoor faucets too. We are very happy, will use Bedell again. THANKS!!

The wife wakes me up at about 5 AM saying there is no hot water. I head to the water heater expecting to just have to light the pilot. Instead, I see water slowly draining out of the tank, and realize a new water heater is in order. At about 6:15 AM, I call Bedell Plumbing, expecting to just hear a message saying what their hours are. Instead, the call is picked up and the gentleman on the other end of the line says he can have someone out to my house first thing. At 7:45 AM, 2 technicians arrive (Travis and Mike?), remove the old water heater, install the new one, and are done by 9:45 AM. They were very efficient and clean. In addition to installing the equipment, they also replaced my cold water shutoff valve (that had seized up from never having been used in 10 years) and installed new pipe fittings that had been incorrectly installed by the home's original plumbers, basically for free. I didn't give a grade for the price since I didn't have time to comparison shop like I normally do, but I think the price was fair considering I went from having no hot water to piping hot water within a space of 4 hours.

I love them as they have went out of their way for us several times. They will let me know how to get the least expensive price by telling me when the best time would be to have the service done.

We've used them a few times before. They were prompt and did a very efficient job. They also cleaned up well when he was done.

The 2 plumbers that came were very professional and worked quickly. They did a fine job. The new faucet (purchased by us ahead of time) was a little smaller than the existing faucet where it attached to the sink. They did their best to clean the wear marks from the old faucet. They had the best price of other bids. I appreciated that they would give a price on the phone ahead of time so you knew what to expect. We are happy with what they did and the faucet is working fine.
