They arrived a bit earlier than expected. but no problem...There is a lot of big and heavy equipment involved and I would suggest that you should opt for the restoration service when the work is finished...I didn't and had quite a mess....My problem, as I had declined the service....Nothing negative about them...They finished much faster than I thought and we are happy with the quality of water they tapped into...I would use them again, but hope I don't have to...

Since Monday 10/27/2014 the household was without running water. Having water issues on a well is no fun. C & J came out, addressed the problem and we soon learned the issue of the problem was the well tank was bad. The crew assigned to the task was very professional and preformed the service better than expected. I will always use C & J for my well issues.

All went well. Water tested fine. Discussed options for treating water and converting to city water.

We are still in the building process so the full services have not been completed yet, however we have been very pleased so far. Communication is great and they have followed through.

I called C & J Well Drilling because I didn't have water and thought my well pump had gone out. They arrived about 45 mins later and found my pressure tank and a switch needed to be replaced. They had everything they needed and got the job done. I found them to be very professional and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was very disappointed with our "service call". My reason being the technician came here in his work van and claimed he did not have a air compressor on his truck so my husband had to get his from our garage and cart it down to our basement- our compressor is huge! And my husband had to then assist him to check and test our pressure tank. What the heck?! What kind of service call is this? We had to pay $100! And you had to use our tools and my husband to help you!!! We payed the money only to get them out of here, we then called Bauer pump and well service who was completely professional, showed up ready to work and re-diagnosed our issue and replaced our pressure tank for 120$ less than c&j. Don't use theses people they need to have trained workers who actually come prepared for their jobs they are being paid a lot of money for!!

The experience was good. I didn't compare their prices because I had to have water.

It was fine and they did a fine job. I would absolutely use them in the future.

I know the owner. They are very good. They do the job right. The interaction is always good. Their people are very pleasant. Their prices are very fair.

They have been out to our place several times and they have done a really nice job. They are easy to work with and they are prompt. I haven't compared their price.

Our water stopped working, so we called C&J to figure out what was wrong. They had been out before about a month prior to this service to perform a $100 routine inspection, and at this time they believed the well pump had a small leak, but nothing major. They told us to pull the pump during this inspection in order to verify would be $450. They arrived on the Monday we called them and called us before to make sure we would be there when they arrived. Very punctual and responsive. With a little research, they found the problem was in the well pump, so re-quoted us $450 to remove the pump to inspect. Knowing nothing about well pumps, we figured this must be a very laborious and messy job, so OK'd the service. No less than 5 min later and the turn of 1 screw, they had the pump laying out in the front yard and we were $450 in the hole. They easily identified the problem as a crack in the well pump which later just broke apart--when it was out of the well. They quoted $1700 for a new pump, and $300 more for a stainless steel pump. The $450 already committed was included in this total, so for a new stainless steel pump, we'd owe them $2000. Tentatively, we OK'd this service then made a few phone calls to validate the pricing. I called Winthrop Plumbing Supply and asked for pricing on the 1/2 horse, 2-wire pump similar to the one they removed. I was quoted $469 for their best, all stainless steel pump (AY McDonald). I then told C&J that I'd like them to stop with the installation of the new pump. At this point the installation guy got a little irritated, almost like I had gotten wise to their scheme. He said that it'd still be $450 for the total of $45 min. they were at the house already and that they DO NOT charge by the hour--rather they charge by the job and was adamant about their pricing. I commented that $2000 is a big investment for anyone and taking 10-15 min. to verify the pricing and decide what we do would be expected for anyone. After talking for a while, the service technician turned to be more sympathetic and friendly and seemed to know that their pricing was out of line and that he ultimately knew we were making a good decision. Being somewhat of a do-it-yourselfer, I took over the project of replacing the pump myself. On a scale of 1-10 in difficulty and with installing a ceiling fan being about a 5-6 in difficulty, I would rate the replacement of the pump at about a 5, slightly less than the ceiling fan. Lowe's has many of the parts and fittings, the pump can be purchased at a good plumbing supply company and YouTube has several videos including how to do the electrical connections (crimped and shrink wrapped). I even put in an extra check valve right before the pitless adapter which wasn't on my previous installation. I can understand the difficulty in drilling a new well, but once in place, today's wells are very simple and straightforward. I would expect any decent plumbing company to charge about double the equipment cost for a replacement, which in my case would be around $1000. The $2000 which C&J quoted is completely out of line and in my view is exploiting unknown, uneducated people who are in a panic about being without water for a few hours. Call around, get another quote. Call Winthrop Supply and ask for a pump and a name of a contractor that can put it in if you can't do it yourself. I paid $450 for about 15 min. of total work and a service call. When C&J comments on my experience that this is what the going rate for their service is, I should quit my law practice and start a well maintenance company!

We had a good experience with them. We like them. The price was expected. The quality was fine.

It was expensive but I have no idea what the rate is. Responsiveness was good. Punctuality and professionalism were also good.

The people who did it were excellent. They were an “A+” on operation. They came out and they did the work fast. They were very accommodating and helpful in getting the situation resolved. We had not have water for four years and that is how I got their services. We cleaned the house and there was a mess and we had not had hot water since 1994. The plumbing was in bad shape. They helped us and we got the water back on.

It never did free up. I had to buy a new pump to sink it down in the well. It has been functioning very well ever since. That was probably 8 years ago.

It was my first time to use their services. They did a good job and we had no complaints.

It went fine. It was a thousand dollars more than they quoted. That was negotiated back to a more reasonable rate. The finished product worked. They did not come equipped with materials that would have facilitated making the job easier.

We have always had really good luck with them. They did a really good job, and I would call them in a heart beat if I needed something for my well.They are very reasonable in comparison to other companies, because I am one to call around and find out prices. We have used them more than once.

They did a good job for me but I do not remember the cost of the service. I have not had any issues since the service was provided so it has worked okay. The well still works fine. I did not really shop around but I heard that they were pretty good so I just went ahead and went with them. The quality of their work was okay. They got out right away and that was good. They did what they said.

They were great! We haven't had any problems. If we had any problem, we would call them. We had an issue when there was something in the basement like the regulator that was vibrating so they had to come out and replace it about 5 or 6 years ago, which was fine. They came out really fast and they were prompt when we had an issue with our well. I don't have anything to compare the price to. They just did our neighbor's. They basically do almost all the well drilling out here which was fine.
