Called C&J when lost water in house. They came right away. Instead of pushing for a big job w/ pump replacement right away, they first suggested trying a less costly repair (replacing control box in house) first. After replacing the burned out control box it became evident that the pump in the well needed to be replaced. They did the job quickly and we have not had any problems since.

It went very well. They were prompt and efficient. The well and pump are very old -- we've kept them for our outdoor water supply only, because we are on city water in the house. While they were here, they also adjusted the pressure on my pump and it's a great improvement. I was afraid that the old pump wouldn't hold up, but this was in July, 2011, and it's still going strong. We have fifty trees and a garden on an acre lot, so in very dry weather I sometimes water for several hours with no problems.

During dry summer, our well had significantly reduced output. C&J was prompt to respond and tried lowering the pump but the water table was too low. They promptly drilled a new well that produced better quality water at higher volume. We were without water for a minimum time. They were prompt and minimized the damage to our yard from the drilling process.

They are wonderful and very reasonably priced.

We woke up one morning to no water, due to a faulty pressure switch. C&J responded quickly and had our system back in working order in no time.

It's been almost 10 years since the well was drilled and grundfos pump system were installed. We have had the well blown out twice for sand, but that's not uncommon in the aquifers I'm central IN.

I have previously used a competitor, and have become unsatisfied. I gave C&J a chance and they did not disappoint. I do wish they had weekend hours as the competitor. I was experiencing muddy water with sediment into the house when I called for service (water line break). C&J quoted me a price range over the phone on Saturday which they met after services were performed. Monday was a site survey only. During the site survey, we agreed that it was best to approach the house through the crawlspace instead of breaching the basement wall which would then become a permanent water intrusion issue but would also cause more work for them in the short run. Tuesday involved mostly the boring and pulling the new line. The team leader explained fully what was going on and what would happen next. At all times, the team was professional, skilled, and courteous. A team of three worked on Tuesday to get the new line and electric bored and pulled. By 2pm, it was apparent that they could not finish the work of extensive interior plumbing until next day - the team was courteous and fully explained what to expect. They roughed in the new line to provide water overnight. Wednesday a different mix of crew returned to complete the interior plumbing. I am a bit skeptical that the price quoted was increased when the interior plumbing picture became complicated on the second day. The price was already on the high end of the original quote. I do appreciate that the team worked diligently to provide me the best long-term outcomes, so I felt the additional money was worthwhile. Overall, the men that came to the house did an excellent job in terms of labor, courtesy, professionalism, and skill. The 10 year warranty is a great peace of mind. Thank you for a job well done.

The only ding is for the price but maybe that is going rate. Just a bit of sticker shock since Lowe's sells pump for $400. But when your well pump goes out you don't have time to price shop or learn how to do it yourself. For quality and professionalism these guys impress.

I was happy with the digging of the trench and the installation of the well line. It was snowing heavily during the day and that complicated the work. Soil and snow create a muddy mess that wasn't easy for the workers to deal with but they managed it well. The workers seemed to rush the work toward the end of the project - perhaps because of the snowfall. That rushed work resulted in some sloppiness including a huge amount of soil in the yard that I've re-filled into the trench and putting dents in the gates around my yard. Again, the snowy mud and grass was a complicating factor for steering the backhoe. The driver of the truck then got stuck in the snow in my yard (while turning the truck and trailer around) and the backhoe had to tow the truck and then the trailer out of my yard. Fortunately, I live out in the country so my lawn does not have to be perfect. If I was picky about my lawn, I would be upset about the ruts left behind. Two other families that I know have had similar work done (by other companies). In both those cases, the company set up time to return in a few months to finish the soil re-fill and leveling the yard. No mention or offer of such service was made by this company.

Our well pump stopped working on a Friday. We called their emergency repair service on Saturday and unfortunately a lot of other people were having problems too and they weren't able to get to us immediately but they said they would call first thing Monday morning. They called us back early Monday morning and arrived within a couple of hours. They thoroughly explained everything that needed to be done and for the amount of work they did the price was very fair. They did a great job all around. They were friendly, quick, professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them and we will call them again if we have any more well problems. Great job!

Gary and his assistant showed up on time, explained what he was going to do, showed me the existing pipe that came out of the well, pumped the well, did an excellent job. Was very knowledgeable and professional. not a pretty sight. It was refreshing to see clean water coming out of our well.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The temperature was pretty bad at that time and they had a lot of road blocks to deal with. I think they did a great job dealing with all the weather. I think under perfect conditions, they probably could have gotten the job done in a couple of days, but it took them about a week. There were several days with temperature of below freezing and I wouldn't make my guys work in that kind of weather either. Not having water is a huge problem, but I understood their perspective and I think they did a wonderful job. What led me to buy the coupon was a friend of mine who was a member of Angie's List and he suggested just going on there and seeing if the cost of the coupon plus the cost of the subscription for a year was cheaper than the service and it turned out to be so I went ahead and got that. Their service was great. I never had to print it out. When I first called them, I said I went on Angie's List. I spent $9,000 with them so they just knocked that money off and it probably didn't matter to them. They were always very polite and professional even if the guys had to stay outside in that kind of weather. They were nice the whole time no matter what happened. I didn't compare prices. I was just in a position where I needed somebody to fix my well and they were the first guys I called and they were on Angie's List which was the main reason I called them anyway. My friend has an Angie's List subscription for several years and had done work with a lot of people in there and he pretty much reassured me that if they are on there, they are probably really good and reputable. They had a lot of good reviews on the Angie's List site and that was also part of the decision making. I don't know if the price was good or not. I didn't even call another place to compare price. They were so nice when they came out. The one gentleman that organizes their crew and what they are doing everyday actually offered to come out on his own time. He didn't think the well was bad, he thought it was something else and I had already had that looked at and I was pretty confident that wasn't the issue. He was actually willing to come out on his own time and look at that with me and verify that that wasn't wrong because they are so busy they don't have a person to send out there. I thought that was kind of cool. Considering the weather conditions, I think they did a marvelous job.

They were prompt. We didn't have water, and they came out, they pulled the pump out, got that replaced, did a good job, and cleaned up.

It went very well..They got here before expected and the job was done fairly quickly....We did not pay for the repair work to the yard and I wish we had. it was quite a mess...But not their fault.. it was ours....

They were fantastic, but we never did find water. Their service was great. I was not real pleased about it. They came out quick. They were on time and they were professional. I probably would not use them again.

Folks at C&J Well Co. were very responsive to my needs and located the well in the worst of weather conditions with the snow and bitterly cold weather of that week. Due to the weather and other pressing needs of customers who had frozen water pipes and no water, it was necessary to reschedule my appointment day to take care of their more critical needs, which was perfectly understandable. They did a good job of communicating and returning my calls. I'd use them again without hesitation should a need arise. Price included a coupon for $100 off and additional discount of another $50 because had to reschedule the day service was to be performed.

Water pressure disappeared after midnight. I called C&J about 7:30am. The manager sent an agent from a nearby town who arrived about 2:00pm, diagnosed and repaired the problem in about an hour. Very courteous and professional.

They ended up drilling a new well for us and installng a new pump. I'm not sure about the cost. It was several years ago.

It went well start to finish. They came out to assess the problem and made sure I had water for the coming day. Explained options with no high pressure to convert pump. Spent time explaining procedures. Returned the next morning and was finished by noon. I needed a new well cover and they called to get me an estimate from a welding shop. I decided to get the top and picked it up myself although C&J would have. They were friendly, professional and responsive to my needs.

I called on Thursday 9/5 and scheduled a service visit. They scheduled me a time for early the next week. On Tuesday the service crew called ahead to notifiy me that I was their first stop of the day and what time they would be arriving. They were very professional and curteous once on site. They performed the well cleaning at the Angies list deal price and gave me a deal on the service call. The well cleaning unfortunately didn't fix my issue, at no fault of C&Js, it's just really old and the casing is falling apart. It was a very good diagnostic tool however. They were able to improve the performance of the well to get us along better for a while by dropping the pump from 30ft down near the bottom of the well and putting a flow control on the line. I did have to pay for the materials to do so. Afterwards they gave me suggestions on what I would need to get my well system up to speed for the long term, and provided me with all the contact info for getting more information. Everyone has been very pleasant to work with. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

The entire procedure went very well. Explained all the things that needed to be done and why.

Diagnosed the problem. Provided various options for corrective work needed including several cost effective options for consideration. We chose not to replace the well pump at this time but we did have a great experience from honest and professional experts. Thank you C&J. When we are ready we will call you to do the work.
