Description of Work: Thoroughly checked my pc, speed, connections, etc. Reconnected modem, filter, etc. Set up my Fax. Excellent work. Even helped me move the desk/pc so the lines were not having to reach so far! (said, "I've never moved furniture before!''). Good sense of humor.

+ -1 moregreat. He was very nice and I felt comfortable having him in my home. I ended up not needing him after the initial visit, but would use him again if I had another problem.
Description of Work: My computer was over heating so I purchased on of his Big Deals and he came to the house pretty quick. THe computer overheating while he was preforming a scan and he suggested I get a new fan. I didn't end up ordering anything from him at the time but he offered advice and was very nice to deal with.

+ -1 moreWe purchased a special worth $38 for an hour of on-site repair labor, but we ended up paying $80 because he stayed over the hour. He tried to work on something else and tried to fix that. He did alright for what he did. The computer worked okay for what we called him in for, but a few weeks later the hard drive went out. It had other problems other than what we called him in for which probably contributed to the problems. So, I had to replace the computer after that. He responded as he should have, and he seemed professional.

He even helped me to choose a new laptop when mine was no longer worth continually repairing the model. He is prompt and knows his area of expertise well. I will definitely use Indy Computer Guru in the future, and feel more secure knowing that he is just a phone call away when I need some technical help.
Description of Work: The computer was running slowly and acting up in general. Dave updated everything on my computer and added virus protection for me. He brought several things to my attention as he worked, and the computer was running smoothly when he left.

We plan to use him again in the very near future for another computer that is not working the way we think it should.
Description of Work: Fixed a wireless router installation that s another company did not do correctly and got all our wireless devices synced to the wireless network in our house. Also fixed a laptop that was having issues.

I had bought 1 hour of service, and he was very conscious of the time, and made sure he could fix all the computer issues in the allotted time before he even started. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone else who needs computer help!
Description of Work: We had an older computer that ran very slowly. He cleaned it up, sped it up, and gave me some useful computer tips along the way. Very personable and easy to work with!

+ -1 moreI couldn't connect to the internet. I called AT&T and they said the problem was in my computer. I called in Dave Follas and he worked for quite a while and then suspected it had to do with an update that McAfee had sent out. He deleted theMcAfee program from my computer and then was able to get on line. He went to the McAfee site and found out they had sent out an update that kept users from connecting to the internet. He downloaded a new, and corrected, McAfee program and everything worked fine.
Description of Work: He found a problem in my virus protection program that prevented me from getting on the internet and corrected it.

+ -1 morePlease see above. I put info in the wrong box. The service performed: I contacted Dave because my computer had no sound and my printer had stopped working. Dave communicated with the printer mfgr and determined that my printer was faulty. Also my "used" speakers need to be replaced. Dave recommended type of speakers I should look for. Also I had improperly installed my Norton protection. Dave de-installed what I had done and properly reinstalled He generally checked my whole computer and I felt confident when he had finished.
Description of Work: Dave responded to my call within one day and kept an appointment a few days later. He was so helpful. I need a lot of help with computers and he was able to advise me regarding equipment I needed. He very patiently undid things I had done wrongand corrected them. He stayed an hour overtime helping me but still extended his coupon special price for the extra time. I gained so much from this experience and would highly recommend Indy Computer Guru

Actually for everything he did for us, I thought the rate was pretty good and reasonable. He is very efficient and wont drag out the process to add to the bill.

Description of Work: Initially, Computer monitor would work periodically then go into sleep mode. I called Mr. Follas we wer to meet the next day; by then the monitor would not turn on at all. Mr. Follas arrived promptly at his appointed time and checked multiple possible issues. It was determined my mother board was shot. I decided to purchase a new computer and Mr. Follas helped me with suggestions. I received my new computer and Mr. Follas came the following morning to set-up my computer and install programs. He was professional, congenial, helpful and attentive to his work. All in all I felt he did an excellent job and was completely satisfied with the price and service.

+ -1 moreWe paid for 2 hours in advance at about 50% savings, and added only aother $100 to the bill to cover the new memory and some additional time spent at his office. Overall we were very stisfied with the work, and would recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: We had a laptop cleaned free of Viruses and spyware, and a desktop cleaned up and memory added to speed it up. It took more than the 2 hours we paid for in advance, but he didn't charge us for the extra time because as he stated he was just waiting for the infected computers to download programming, and that was why it was taking so long.

Description of Work: Dave was great. He is more of a PC guy than mac but was able to help me with my PC-Iphone compatibility issues. I'd been to the Apple store and they could not figure out the issue and Dave had me all set up in an hour and then stayed to help me with another issue.
