Super! This was so easy to schedule - I really was so glad I am an Angie's List member - or how would I have found him??

Cheerful, competent, friendly. Technically adept but also has great people skills. I'm glad I called him. In addition, my data never left my home or my sight. I liked not having to leave my hard drive on someone's bench somewhere else.

Dave was very professional and very conscious of the time required to get files transferred from a very slow old computer. He returned on two other dates, at my request, to provide additional help. He was very prompt and helpful!

As soon as I submitted my problem on their website, I received a phone call; very prompt service! After describing my problem with my hard drive over the phone, Indy Computer Guru confirmed my realization that my hard drive had indeed failed. I appreciated the quick call and the technical ability of Indy Computer Guru. If you are tech savy and need someone to talk with about advanced computer issues, Indy Computer Guru is your guy.

Work was done promptly and professionally. No jargon. Much appreciated.

Was available to schedule quickly. Arrived on time. Pleasant to work with. Knew what he was doing.

Working with them is fine but I think whatever my problem was, they could not resolve it.

I wasn’t quite happy with them for two reasons. Firstly, the Big Deal didn’t mention about travel charge and he charged me $25 and the second thing is he never got the computer to work. He said it was beyond that he could take care of and there was a bug and he couldn’t get it fixed. He spent an hour and I guess I paid him for an hour’s time so he couldn’t fix it in that time frame. I paid the travel charge but it wasn’t a part of the deal. The computer still doesn’t work till this day and I need to get a new one. I paid him for the time but never got the job done. The price was great if he got the job done. I bought the deal because it was a pretty good price and it wasn’t that expensive. He came out quickly. He was there on time. He acted in a professional manner.

Dave was able to come to my house to check out my PC the day after I contacted him. He explained everything he was doing, was professional and friendly, and provided me with options. Although it was not possible to revive my PC, I was very satisfied with the work Dave did and would contact him again if needed, and I would be glad to recommend him to others.

He came to my house introduced himself. It turned out I knew his parents and siblings. He looked at my computer for about 10 minutes. He told me that it would cost to much to have him sit there and re-image my computer. He said I need a new computer because it is an older model. He left. I felt he was truthful with me.

Dave Follas came to my house and determined that my computer's hard drive had failed. With my authorization, he ordered a new hard drive and returned to my house when the hard drive was received. He installed the new hard drive and transferred files from the old hard drive to the new hard drive. I have used the services of Dave Follas on several occasions and have been completely satisfied with his work on each occasion. He has always been very accommodating in meeting my computer needs in a timely manner and has been very professional in his work and reasonable in his fees. I will use Dave Follas in the future and will recommend his services to others that have a need for a computer service professional.

We have two computers we asked them if they can help us, they came disassemble our computers and moved them to our new place, a few month later we got a terrible virus, so we called him he came in on Saturday and worked for about 3 hours he solved it, we have been very very happy with him, he is very pleasant person and reasonable.

First of all he kept in touch via phone as he had to rechedule our first appointment and was running a little late on the rescheduled one. The rescheduling and running late was not a problem because he alerted me in good time and I had flexibility. He arrived, understood what I needed from him, quickly set up the fax function -- saving me at least 4 hours of trying to read, understand and follow instructions myself. It was absolutely the wise decision to have Dave do this for me! He then went through my list of questions about some less-used functions of my computer. He also hooked up the "green" power strip from IPL which I had not yet taken time to remember and do it. Dave was a more relaxed tech consultant. He listened and spoke more in my language and at my speed. I was totally comfortable with him -- different from my usual tech person, whom I always appreciated and rated highly, but who in comparison to Dave, makes me feel more jittery. He explained his general service area and his sometimes need to charge a transportation fee. He finished everything and left me his card. I was very pleased with his work and his professional style. I would not hesitate to call Dave again.

They charged me more than the $38 that the deal was for. I really like the idea of somebody coming into my house and working with it rather than me carrying it to them. I called, made an appointment and he came at the time he said. It was fine.

Very professional, helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy his customers. Worked very hard to fix the many errors until we decided the time element for a complete fix would not be worth the age of the computer. He is willing to help find a new computer and re load from files.

Dave did a fantastic job! He saved time by using out existing wireless network to move files from the desktop to the laptop. He seamlessly configured the files on the new computer and we checked to be sure that email was being received. Since he installed back-up software in 2012, we checked to be sure all was well. With some tweaking, it is now fine. I HIGHLY recommend Indy Computer Guru! For home or work needs, Dave is the guy with the answers. He is courteous and easy to work with in scheduling and at the job site.

Overall, a waste of money and time.

When I tried to move my files from an old desk top computer to a newer lap top, I realized that I was in over my head. I called Dave Follas and he came out the next day. He started to move the files and discovered that there were issues with my modem. Something I had suspected and he confirmed. He completed the transfer the next day. After he left, my Internet Home Page did not look right and I e-mailed Dave and he e-mailed me instructions to fix the issue. It was a very positive and I would call Dave again to help me with computer issues.

He had to update all the computers. The first time he did not do it right but he came back out and fixed it. He did not charge us to come back out to fix the mistake. After him coming back it worked fine.

It went well except not being to solve the sound problem. He did do cleanup on my computer and my wife's computer.

Knowledgeable, friendly, knows everything about computers, top notch. Did an excellent job.

He called me back the same day. Came out on Sunday and diagnoised it in 15 minutes. A Ram had gone bad and it had been a replacement. Which means the motherboard had gone bad. It would be $350 for parts and $500 in total-which he recommended not putting the money into the laptop.. He got it working with half the ram so I could still use it. He offered to help me find a back up desktop so I would not be without a computer in the future. He was very polite and gave me the Angie's List discount. I was very satsified.

Of the dozens upon dozens of service providers we have used from angies list over the past 6-7 years he was hands down one of the best in all aspects. He was amazingly technically proficient. He was very, very nice and enjoyable to have in our home. Both our 2 yr old and 6 yr old liked him. If you have kids then you'll know that's a huge positive sign! The problem was not uber difficult but after 5 hrs of me making it worse it was a great relief to have him fix in 1 to 1.5 hrs. AND he even did some optimization that really improved performance. He is also a classically trained cellist which was cool as my wife is also. Would have him back over for another beer anytime!

That was good a good service and there were no problems at all! I used him just a week ago again, and he really helps me out and gets things straightened out when I need them done.

Consistently gives first rate service. Knows his stuff.
