Tapia's Co

They were a complete no show and very unreliable. Back in Feb they were supposed to paint our house interior. They came out, quoted the work, emailed the start date and were a no show. We emailed and called multiple times. Very unprofessional and really took us by surprise.

Ray and his crew were great. The quality of the work was top notch and very aggressive pricing. Hard working and detail oriented. I have already recommended him to friends and hired him for additional remodeling work.

Absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend Ray and the guys at Tapia's. They painted 5 or 6 rooms for us over the 40 hours of this deal. I've spent the last couple days looking around trying to find a bad cut line or a miss...Nothing. Taped, tarped, moved furniture...Everything.

The two painters worked very hard and got a lot done on a very hot day to be stuck in a garage!

I used various communication methods (Angie's List messaging, co. email, voicemail, and mobile phone texts) to schedule the work. Tapia's Co. never responded. My only recourse was to contact Angie's List directly. Unfortunately, I was beyond the 30 day money back guarantee period. However, Angie's List provided me with a couple of alternatives. They could to work with Tapia's Co. on my behalf to schedule the work or I could purchase a similar deal and Angie's List would credit my acct. the amount I purchased for Tapia's Co. I chose to go with a different service provider.

I purchased the 4 hour deal in early June and was told they wouldn't be able to complete work until July. I received two phone calls in June to make sure I knew they still had me on the calendar. An opening came up and Raymundo showed up with a smile. He was diligent and attentive. He fixed two areas of drywall and one area of plaster. There was an hour left hour and instead of leaving early he asked if there was any other work that needed to be done. I was ecstatic as there was an area damaged by a leak near the shower that needed repair. he finished pass the time and simply said "I hope you are happy with the work." It was a pleasure having Tapia's do work and I would highly recommend this service.

It was not so good. The work was fine but you could tell from how the work was done that that was not their area of expertise. We found the prices really good for professional drywall but they did less than what we were expecting. They came out right away but they left and didn't come back for a week.

He was generally on time and thorough in his work. Aside from some small details the job came out very well.

We worked out a date to do the painting. First, they asked to push back 2 weeks - no problem. A day before the scheduled work, I called and emailed to confirm: no response. They never showed up or called with any communication. Complete waste of time.

It was a terrible experience and I would never recommend this company. He never showed up to do the work after setting this appointment weeks in advance. Communication was terrible and very unprofessional.

Raymundo was easy to schedule through his office and he and his partner were polite, efficient, and professional. The job they did was fantastic and we "freshened up" the "main" room in our house for an incredible price. We would look to use these guys for other jobs, really great experience!

I thought it was going fine, but now they won't come back out. They were in such a hurry that they didn't let the drywall dry and now the things are bubbling. Now that I've paid they have no time to come back out and fix it. They didn't even give me an invoice and they said that they would write something down on a piece of paper.

The initial communication to schedule the time was a bit rough. Could be smoother. They arrived on the scheduled date and time and completed the work on schedule. The quality was very good. All in all, they did a good job, but the communication and scheduling responsiveness can be improved. Something completely fixable.

Rolando was very good and professional, polite and hard-working. He and his painting partner did an absolutely excellent job with the painting. I had read in the reviews that he was hard to contact, however, I was able to reach him immediately and he always called me back. He came out on a Saturday to do the work, which was earlier than I had contracted for. I would use him for painting again, and would recommend him heartily.

I thought it went very well. This job was relatively small. Ray was finishing up work left unfinished by another carpenter. However, he clearly knows what he is doing. His specialty is actually fine woodworking, like bookshelves and cabinets, but he can handle unfinished work as well. In response to a previous reviewer, Ray's English is fine. I work with many people from many different countries. Like a lot of people for whom English is a second language, Ray's pronunciation is imperfect, but he understands you just fine. If he doesn't understand you, he does not hesitate to ask a question, but, in truth, I found that all of his questions were related to actually understanding the job I wanted done. His questions were never related to a lack of understanding of the words that I was using.

Raymundo and his team did an excellent job of painting my three rooms. They were careful not to spill any paint on the carpet and laid down plenty of cover on the stairs they were going up and down. I purchased the deal for two painters for a day. Unfortunately due to the large amount of repair in my one bedroom they could not finish it one day. Raymundo offered to come back to finish at an additional reasonable rate. I appreciated the efforts my Raymundo and his crew. Overall very well done, the rooms look wonderful. I would recommend them and use them in the future.

Everything went well. Very detailed job, and the work turned out wonderful.

Everything went great. the painters from Tapia's were right on time. They were very nice, very professional, and did a great job.

They were punctual and and hard working. Considering all the mess - they were able to work around everything. The repaired the walls of our 60 year old home as they went along.

They were so prompt, already to do the work, did all that I asked, cleaned up wonderfully

Excellent! Ray and his team were on time. He communicated well. Did an excellent job and worked neatly. I am exceptionally pleased with the end result and will certainly use him again when I need to redo my kitchen. I would definitely recommend Ray.

So I initially contacted this company and requested 1 painter for 16 hours of work on 01/20/2016. They showed up on 01/20/16 with the 3 workers. They did a walk thru of the house as I explained what I wanted done. They agreed and got to work. Two workers started by taping and priming the baseboards. Later, at one point, I went down stairs to find that they were on a break. I?m not sure how long their break was. Around 3 o?clock their boss showed up who did not speak any English said ?okay, we are done and we?ll be back tomorrow? I asked him if there was any extra costs for coming back and he replied ?yes, another $425 and that they may need to come back an additional day to complete the job which would be another $425. I asked why was I not told that this would be the case as I do not have another $425 to give them. He then shrugged his shoulders and said ?that it was a lot of work? I again asked, and he again just shrugged his shoulders. He then asked me for the order number of my Big Deal so he could get paid from Angie?s List. He also asked if I could cut his check for tomorrows work as they were leaving. They all left at 4:00 pm, so I did not even get my full 16 hours of work, and they are under the impression they will be returning tomorrow to get another $425 with potential for another $425. So if I did proceed this whole project would have cost $1600 which was never discussed with me. I am very disappointed and have requested a refund on the 2 hours of service that they failed to deliver.
