Rob was on top of all the emails I sent him. He was right on time and very efficient. Not only did he take our old toilet away but he donated it to Habitat for Humanity. That made us happy. We would be sure to call him again for future projects.

The installation was ok. Mr. silver hammer damaged wall with ladder. Poor job cleaning up.

While friendly and easy going while at the house, He never did provide any written estimates or proper description of the door sizes to order (our first priority) and stopped responding to email/texts. I can only assume that he figured the projects were too costly for us to follow through - a very poor assumption. We've moved ahead on the doors and wainscoting removal/wall repair with other contractors and have another flooring contractor coming today. These projects are for our newly purchased 1977 home that we are trying to prep before fully moving out of our other home.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Robert. He is great to work with and he takes the time to explain everything very clearly. He never sells anything; rather he does consult to let you know what he thinks ought to be done. The information is invaluable. I am a pretty knowledgeable and skilled DYIer and I was so impressed with Robert I kept adding to the list of services for him to do. He was very accommodating in adding those things into his schedule. He was also very helpful in determining the general design and what would look good. This too was very valuable. Even before we had agreed to move forward with the basement upgrades Robert met with the city to get additional permit information. He drew up the plans and submitted them to the city and met with the inspectors through the process. I agree with another reviewer that Robert should clone himself. He works hard and is very fair and honest. It is great to find a contractor who is honest, great to work with, keeps you informed along the way and very skilled and knowledgeable at what he and his team does. I would use Robert again without hesitation.

Robert was always quick to respond oalls, texts, etc., almost always the same day. He had competitive prices compared to others I received estimates from. He was able to start the work when I needed and completed it in the estimated timeframe, even when getting the wrong paint color from Lowe's! The work was very professional and looks great. I would recommend Robert and Silver Hammer to anyone.

This is a rental property, so payment was a little tricky, but we worked out the kinks. Other than that no complaints from the tenant.

Robert, at Silver Hammer, was very responsive in getting back to us regarding our job inquiry. We weren't in a hurry to have the job done, but he came out that same week on a snowy Saturday in conjunction with other jobs he had in our area because it worked well with both of our schedules. Over the phone, Robert initially thought our job wouldn't take him an hour to complete and suggested we find a few other projects we might need done in order to take advantage of his hourly rate. What he discovered when he arrived (on time) was the previous owner who finished the basement himself had not installed the hand rail properly and did not put the railing into the studs in the wall. Robert had to reinstall (re-anchor & fix drywall) in two sections to make sure it wouldn't move again and be completed properly. When we went back to check on his finished work, we noticed Robert also went out of his way to fix the drywall on a few other significant dings in the stairwell unrelated to our handrail. We will absolutely use Silver Hammer Construction again for handyman projects around the house and consult him for bigger projects in the future! We will also recommend to friends/neighbors who need help around the house.

Had Robert out to fix a leaking patio door. He was professional throughout. Explained all elements of the problems he found and discussed solutions before proceeding with the fix. I plan on using Silver Hammer again in the spring for some outdoor trim work.

Prompt response to my initial call and provided an estimate as to the cost. Robert arrived promptly on the day of service and installed the new garbage disposal without any problems. Robert was very clean and professional. I would definitely use Silver Hammer again and recommend their services to others.

I called and he agreed to come out and take a look. Something came up that morning and I couldn't be home, so I called to try to reschedule. He said he'd check his calendar and get back to me about the following Monday, but never called back despite me making 3 attempts to contact him. Very unprofessional.

Robert provided a very comparative quote and was very professional throughout the process. The results of the work were excellent. Robert replaced damage siding and painted the front of my house. My wife and I are extremely happy with the work Robert did for us and we will definitely use him again for other projects around our house.

We were very pleased with the responsiveness. Of 4 companies that I originally requested a quote, they were the only ones to get back with me. They came out quickly to give us a quote and offered good suggestions for our project. On the day they started, the crew showed up on time and worked all day. All the men introduced themselves and said hello - something that I really appreciate. The job was done over two days. This was exactly as quoted. The only negative comment I have that lowered their score to a "B" is the cleanup. They covered the carpets with drop clothes, but when they picked them up, drywall dust and debris went all over my carpets and floor. The wood floor in the bedroom also had drywall plaster on it tat ended to be scraped off. If they were more careful about their leaving, the job would have received and "A". I would use this company again.

They did good work for a competitive price. Furthermore, they were prompt in providing a thorough estimate for the job which I appreciated.

I spoke to Robert on the phone to get an idea on a price for a project. I wanted to turn a closet into an office and I needed two hinged doors installed in place of sliding doors. I did some of the work myself, shelves and desktop, and didn't want to spend too much. Also, if I am going to spend the money to have doors installed, I want them to be done correctly, fit perfectly and work properly. He was able to give me a ballpark figure over the phone for purchasing and installing doors and explain the correct way to install them. I had called other handymen and from asking the same questions could tell Robert knew what he was talking about. I will call him in the future when I can afford to finish this project.

We needed two light fixtures replaced. One in the foyer which was a very high ceiling and the other in the dining room, which was high as well. Everything went great from start to finish. Robert and Dave arrived on time. They assembled the fixtures, installed them and cleaned up very nicely afterwards. Robert also noticed that I bought a wrong part so he ran to the store to get the right one. We also mentioned that we had an issue with our kitchen faucet and Robert took care of it at no extra charge. These guys are very reliable and professional. We will definitely be calling them back soon, as we have many more projects.

It went very well. I'm very happy with how all of the doors turned out. Robert charged me exactly what he quoted, all the work was completed in one day and it all just looks really nice. He spent extra time adjusting each door and explained what his process was. I would definitely hire him again. It took a little bit of phone tag to get the work appointment set up but once it was set up, everything was fine.

Robert did a great job and was amazingly efficient. When I first called him he was out of town, but he called me right when he returned, and it turned out he could come out and do my repair that same day! He showed up exactly at the time he specified and was done within an hour. We haven't had a big windstorm since he was here, so I can't completely vouch for the effectiveness of the repair, but it looks great and he cleaned up after himself very well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others - we had a great experience.

Robert was great. This was done on a new garage completed in October. Robert scheduled his time around the too cold and rainy for stain parts so that it could be done before winter. Everything was neat, clean, professional.
