Very good considering the age of the deck. The crew was prompt and on time every day. They were also professional and honest.

This company is outstanding. I have used at least 4 other companies in the past for deck maintenance and no one can compare to the job they did. They are very professional and timely. I had excellent communication with them. They said and did exactly what they said they would. My deck is 15 years old and it looks new again. I was very impressed and will be using them again.

Total disregard and disrespect for others!

Great job initially by an extremely experienced team. A crew came out to repair small parts of my deck. Then another came out to do the sanding and refinishing. Spent from 9am to 7pm on 100 degree day. Guys were very professional. Did an outstanding job. 7/15/2013 Update The finish started coming off the deck withing 30 days. They came out and repaired it after some time. This spring the same thing. Finish started to come off on or near by the same place. Emailed pictures and called. Got a call back a week later, said they would be out the following week. 6 weeks later, no response to further communications.

The whole process went very well. Had it not been for some rainy weather and extreme heat (and an intentional delay on our part to allow my neighbor to get some wood repaired on his deck) we probably could have wrapped things up a little sooner than we did. No complaints. The final result looks really good. One of the guys came over and gave me an estimate that fell below another bid. We set things up so that the billing for both condo units would come to me to simplify things for them. The power washing was scheduled for 7/30 and was done on that day. Due to some rain and a need to special order our stain color, the final staining was done on August 6th.

They did an excellent job and I have hired them to come for an annual maintenance contract.The preparation and clean up were pretty good. They went the extra mile to take care of the samller details.

This was my first time using "Angies List",and using a company that received "high marks" from previous customers. If future contractors are as good as Deck Solutions, I will be very pleased!! I feel I received a professional job at a very good price! Also, I appreciated being placed on a "schedule" by the office staff,and when the weather did not co-operate I was informed of the change to that schedule. Finally,when I was told to expect the crews to be at my house they showed up on time -and did a great job!! Would use (,and recommend) this company again!!

There were some areas on the deck that weren't done properly. They had dragged our deck across after they had stained it and left a big gouge on it. They did come back and fix it but it took them a little longer to do that. It got to the point that we felt that they would not get a good report from us on Angie's List, but the owner finally called and apologized and said that he had been on vacation. They did come and fix it and it was fine. They are very competitive in their pricing. Their work was good but their follow up was not so great.

Deck Solutions was professional and timely in giving me the estimate. They were helpful in giving me suggestions as well.

Chris responded to my email request for a quote on deck repairs and cleaning the same day I sent request. He came out and gave me a quote and let me know they could start immediately. When his crew came out, they always let us know they were here as opposed to just working on the deck without telling us. Our deck was in fairly bad shape and now it looks like new. They did a great job and we recommend them highly.

During the initial sealing, the crew from Deck Solutions did not sand the railing surfaces or post caps and made a mess with the sealer. They spilled the sealer on the composite deck flooring and on flag stones around the deck. They also dripped and/or tracked the spilled sealer on the steps and several other areas of the deck flooring. Our initial complaint on the workmanship with the owner (Chris Riebe) was very upsetting, as Mr. Riebe refused to take responsibility for the stains on the deck flooring, and accused me of trying to get out of paying the balance of the bill. After a long discussion, Mr. Riebe apologized and agreed to try to clean up the stains. After two subsequent cleaning attempts, Deck Solutions was able to reduce the appearce of stains on the steps and most of the composite deck flooring. They also sanded the railings and post caps, and reapplied sealer. In the end, Deck Solutions cleaned-up their mess and did the work which was originally agreed. The end result was marginally acceptable. However, dealing with Mr. Riebe was very difficult and upsetting.

Chris was very prompt, knowledgeable and detailed in his estimate. Our deck needed some carpentry to take care of some pre-existing challenges with the wood. Because I received a better recommendation by another provider, I did not move ahead with Deck Solutions. However, all aspects of my interaction with them were very professional. I wish Deck Solutions the best in the future.

I had used Deck Solutions in the past for my deck in 2006 which was the last time any maintenance had been performed. When I called to inquire about having the above mentioned work performed, I was told someone would come out to give me a quote. Because they were quite busy, rather than coming out they gave me the price from 2006 which was about $300-$400 less than what the quote would have been had they came out and saw the work to be done. But rather than keep me waiting, they ended up absorbing that cost to maintain timely customer service. The deck was really in bad shape-a lot of green mold, and there was no sealant remaining at all. They sent out someone to first clean the deck and playset and he did an excellent job (I know he spent much longer than he expected because it was so difficult to clean). In my past experience I was responsible for moving all of the deck/gazebo furniture off the deck, but when I explained I was not able to do so because I had no one to help me, they kindly said no problem. After about a week they returned to apply the sealant, and again I was more than happy with the end result. I can't imagine how much product that they had to apply because the wood was so stripped and dry. They protected the windows and house with plastic and did not create any mess. I was especially surprised with the playset, because it has climping rocks which must have been difficult to work around. After the deck had dried, they returned again to put the furniture back on the deck. They entire staff was very professional at all times; I am very appreciative for all the work they performed.

Price was competitive and they did the job exactly as quoted and when they said they would. Good cleanup and no problems. A good experience.

Chris Riebie came out in the morning a couple of days after his initial visit to replace selected rotting boards on the deck floor and railing. While doing this he told me there were some more deck floor boards that he wanted me to look at to consider replacing. We both inspected the deck again and I agreed with him that their were several (6 to 7) more more boards that should be replaced in addition to the ones selected on his first visit. Chris immediately went out and got some more cedar deck boards. He then personally spent the rest of the day removing the rotted boards in the deck floor and railing and replacing them since his other crews were on jobs at other locations. Company staff came out and washed the deck using low pressure. Then, the crew responsible for sanding and staining the deck came Tuesday after Labor Day, September 7, to complete their work. We are very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the staff from Deck Solutions. Chris Riebe, the owner, did excellent work on his own without help from his staff in deck repair, and he gave what we consider a very fair price for the work and add-on items required for maintenace of our deck which is 12 ft x 35 ft. We highly recommend the company and we will use them in the future for continued maintenance of the deck on our house.

Deck solutions did a great job. Our deck is elevated, so they took extra care to protect the lower patio. The crew was very professional. They came when they said they would, applied two coats, and left the site spotless. I have no hesitation recommending them.
