One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

We purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List for a Furnace Tune Up. This provider came out and advised us that there were two issues with the furnace that needed to be repaired. The technician told me that that the part we needed would be $204.00 but he told me he could give it to us for $99.00 if you sign up for their annual service agreement. I checked the price of that part on Amazon and it was selling at $6.95. They did some work but I was not comfortable with the outcome of the service. I called another provider and they came out and advised us that our furnace was perfectly fine and that nothing needed to be fixed.

Frank, the technician, came in and listened to my concerns about a previous (Nov. 2015) cleaning that I didn't feel was thorough enough. There was also a current buzzing sound that he noticed upon restarting the furnace. He worked on a bit of trouble shooting and advised me of some parts that are failing. After discussing the parts and costs, Frank did a thorough cleaning and tune-up. He invited me to watch as he used a camera scope to check out the heat exchanger. My furnace is 15 years old and I have some decisions to make regarding repair vs. replacement. Frank answered all my questions and provided me with a detailed report regarding the work he did and work suggested. I was very pleased with the complete job he did and the non-pressure conclusion of this appointment. I would not hesitate to call again for a cleaning and would consider One Hour Heating when deciding on a new furnace if I choose to go with the Amana brand they sell.

It was fine. They came out soon after the purchase date. I think the price was double that because the deal only covers one unit but we have two separate units, two furnaces and two air conditioning. There is one for each floor. I think the first person that did it did a more thorough job. They could have done the required amount of work and maybe even go above and beyond a little bit. The responsiveness was good. The punctuality was good. The Professionalism is good.

Jeff was very thorough in discussing what he was going to do and he really helped me understand what the issue was with my humidifier that needed repair. He also gave me advice on what parts to replace in the furnace without being pushy or using scare tactics. I really appreciated the manner in which he described what the furnace needed.

First off, everyone that I spoke to at this company was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Jose arrived right on time, and I showed him where the furnace was. Jose was here to do a routine yearly cleaning. My furnace was installed just last year, so this should have been a really simple cleaning. After about 10 minutes, Jose called me down. He explained that he was able to do the cleaning, but he wanted to point some things out to me. Jose then proceeded to point several things out to me. These issues that when installed, was improperly installed and were causing problems with my furnace properly functioning. Jose was not pointing these things out in an attempt to sell me on a bunch of things I didn't need, but factual problems. Not only did he point out these problems to me, he went on to explain what issues they could cause by being how they were. As a first time home-owner, I greatly appreciate this information shared with me. I had no idea to ever look for these kind of problems and so had no idea that they had existed. I was very happy with the services provided.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness done by their technician, Mike Jones. The report they proved was sent to my email and included photos taken with camera scope. Very helpful when trying to describe the technician's findings to my husband. I have already recommended One Hour Heating & Cooling to my neighbor.

The Service provider called day ahead. On the service day they called & reminded that the technician was on it's way. The service was done fine. The serviceman explained what he did.

Update: After posting the review, they gave a call and sent the invoice I had requested. They also clarified that the items on the list of things to do were suggestions, not urgent things to complete right away. They do a good job and very thorough, but I had trouble getting a follow up email back. I was working when he originally came and so he talked to my wife and emailed me the report. The report identified some possible issues and I emailed back. He emailed quickly and said the costs and info was sent already. I hadn't received it so I replied with a request for the costs and information and never heard back. Maybe it went to my spam folder but I didn't see it. I've used them a couple times and they always seem to find some issue. That is different from most places, who do their tune up and tell me everything is fine and go. Its very difficult to say which company gives the best tuneup, but I've gotten some great deals on the tune up part with 1 hour, so I have used them the last few times.

The gentleman took his time and did an excellent job.

He made some recommendations for filter replacements and follow up appointment.
