+ -1 moreEcoSteam was really good. The guy was very friendly and very professional. He did a good job. The carpet looked great afterwards. I've used them in the past when I first moved in to the house. They clean up after themselves, very prompt and very thorough. He pre-treated the carpet because I have 2 cats. He was very accommodating because I live with my elderly father so he was very cognisant of not making too much noise and making sure he wasn't disturbing us. I'm happy with their service. Some people in the neighborhood thought they're on the high side but for me, I'm willing to pay for that if I get a good service. The chemicals doesn't leave a strong smell and doesn't leave a crunchiness on the carpet.

+ -1 moreKen was really very responsive in returning our calls. He was at our property on time to give the estimate and do the job as well. He took every initiative to explain us the process of carpet cleaning (it was our first carpet cleaning) and also explained us why few of the stains on the carpet wouldn't go how much ever it was cleaned. He also took extra initiative in explaining us how to remove stains without damaging the fabric in future. We initially contacted him for our carpet cleaning. We also wanted to clean our basement. When we enquired about basement cleaning, he did not hesitate even a second to say that he would try to find a best product to do it ( we were looking for eco-friendly products for both carpet as well as basement cleaning) and he did find one. He personally took care of the basement cleaning with a power washer while the other person took care of the carpet cleaning. We would definitely recommend Ecosteam to anyone and we would use them again as well.

+ -1 moreWe have used Ecosteam Carpet Cleaning since installing new carpeting, so that's going back at least 5 years. They always do an excellent job and are extremely accommodating. Having two large, hairy dogs our carpet gets a workout and I wouldn't use anyone else. It is easy to schedule an appointment and they are always prompt. I would not hesitate in recommending them to a friend.

Description of Work: Ken and Dylan were very professional and did a great job! I was very impressed with their attention to detail and the fact they made sure not to damage the walls, trim, etc. with their equiptment. A couple bucks more than I expected to pay, but now that the job is done, it was well worth it. I'll definitley be using these guys every Spring to clean our carpet.

+ -1 moreWe decided to try their service based on all the mostly good reviews on Angies List. They gave an estimate and we agreed to the service. The day of service they were about an hour late. When we went over the cost and services we realized there was a different charge than we agreed too. At first the technician said oh well sorry this is the correct price, the person who quoted you must have been wrong.... we questioned further and he called his manager and was told to go with the original quoted price, since it was there mistake. We made the job as easy as possible by moving as much most everything out of the way. The work was ok, but now these months later many of the same stains came back, which had not happened with our prior carpet cleaning service. The smell was a little too strong for my allergies and the carpet was not dryed as well as it could have been. There were many areas that were just really wet and took almost a day to dry, instead of the hours he quoted us. We also had our couch cleaned and it too took quite long to dry. Overall of the few carpet cleaners we've had through the years, I was expecting more and unfortunately I felt the service overall was not what I was hoping for.

This company was able to clean the antique chair and get all stains out. I couldnt believe it was the same chair. As well as the green stain on my oriental carpet that has been there for a year I couldnt get out, he was able to get this out as well.
Description of Work: They cleaned every carpet, sofa and chairs in my whole house. As well as a very old antique chair that we have.

They got back to me promptly and Dylan explained that the cost (gave me a price range) would vary depending on the size of the chairs, stains, etc.. He came when he said he would, calling when he was on his way. He laid a tarp on the nearby carpet, and worked diligently about an hour and a half, explaining the process and how I should help them dry. He left literature and a gift bag of cleaning solvent, cleaned up thoroughly. I was very pleased and while the entire stains did not disappear, the chairs look much better. With the 20% discount, the cost was $136.

+ -1 moreOur home was a short sale and the previous owners stopped caring. We have a cream colored carpet which was absolutely filthy to say the least. There were many unknown stains and black marks throughout the carpeting. I tried cleaning the carpet myself and was able to lighten up some stains but the carpet was still terrible. I called Ecosteam and spoke with Ken and he said his crew would come out here and provide a free estimate and let me know if it was worth it t clean or replace the carpet. Dylan and his partner arrived on time. They immediately put on the booties and took a look around. Dylan is extremely knowledgeable and is honest. He told me exactly what they could get rid of and what they may be able to lighten up. They provided a written estimate and got to work. I've had other carpet companies give estimates, but was so impressed by Ecosteam's customer service that I went with them. They did an AMAZING job. We were so happy with the end result. Our carpet looked nearly brand new. Very detailed oriented. This company goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with their work. Dylan noticed there were a couple of stains that looked significantly better but were still there. He said he would come back in a few days and apply stain remover once the carpet was dry. Dylan came back and applied his "secret potion" and WOW stubborn stain was gone. Amazed once again. I will only use this company for our carpet cleaning needs.

+ -1 moreI had found ecosteam on Angieslist, and after reading a few reviews thought they seemed like a decent option. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone seemed knowledgeable and was very willing to work with my schedule to set up an appointment (I called just before Thanksgiving and arranged an appointment for the week after so the flexibility was much appreciated). On the day of the appointment the rep showed up on time and gave me a quick explanation of what he was planning on doing. We agreed on the price and he got to work. The work itself seemed fine, and because we had heavily pet stained carpets (the gentlemen let me know that there was an additional treatment that may be required that I opted out of at the time) I was really happy just to have the stains gone. The smell did linger a bit in a room that had cat urine marks in it, but again the gentlemen I spoke with originally had cautioned me that these urine stains would take more than just a normal cleaning. Overall I thought everything went well, and if I had to be critical the only problem I had was that the rep missed a closet that I had emptied out and expected to be cleaned. I don't think this was done for any kind of a malicious reason, I just assume that I forgot to mention it at the time and he must have overlooked it as well. In no way was this a deal breaker for me, but I was a bit annoyed as that was where most of the cat urine marks were centralized (which could obviously account for the lingering smell I mentioned). Good service, straight forward pricing, would use again.

Description of Work: We choose Ecosystems based on Angie's list reviews and will definately use them again. This was the first time we had our carpets cleaned since we built the house back in '08. When the representative came out to estimate the cost he informe us that there would be two folks cleaning. When the day came however, only one individual was there. I was concerned he'd not be able to move furniture on his own (we have some pretty large/heavy pieces) and he contacted the owner immediately. The owner assured us that it was there policy to only have one person and that he'd coach the estimator on this error. The company provided an additional service as a result of the miscommunication, which we were satisfied with. We had moved nearly all of the furniture onto non-carpeted surfaces, and made sure we had minimal furniture on the carpets. This made the clearning job very smooth for the the fellow and we felt the if we made it easier on them, it would benefit us, which it did. What I mean here is that they had no obstacles to go around because such things had already been removed. Our living room has some pet accidents and the cleaner really pulled it up to the surface; he informed us that the staining may continue to lift up and do not be alarmed if we see it. We did see that occur and we went over it lighty with our own carpet cleaner. Because this was expected and we understand the concept here we did not feel our going over that particular patch was an issue. I would DEFINATELY hired them again; next season will focus only on the family room/ stairs/ and master as this is where we spend our time. There are no children in the house so that minimize's the mess, but the dog does have occasional accidents (fortunately in the same spot).

oriental rug cleaning
+ -1 moreI never got a formal quote with the actual price I paid, on paper. I only got that price quoted over the phone. I got a separate email from another member of their staff thinking I was a different customer quoting the price way higher. I will further point out that Ecosteam's price was between $200 and $700 dollars less than any other quote I got. Thankfully they honored the quote they gave me over the phone. I would caution anyone to make sure they get their quotes in writing. Other than that, I was very pleased with their work, they even told me that they washed it twice just to be sure everything they could get washed out of it was (with the understanding that it was impossible to get all of the mold out of the rug). They picked up the rug for cleaning and dropped off the rug a couple of weeks later after it had been cleaned. Rug came back looking as good as you can expect out of a 100 year old rug without any noticable damage due to the mold.
Description of Work: Had an Antique Oriental Rug cleaned. Rug was 10' x 14' and had molded due to being forgotten in a wet basement.
