I have used Peapod for 6 months for a grocery delivery approximately every 3 weeks. There is only one thing I can count on to be consistent: a mistake. EIther they forget an item, deliver a broken item (eggs, pie crusts, smashed bread), or they're late. When I cancelled the $69/yr delivery program after 2 only two months, they never refunded the prorated difference. I received no refund at all. It's WAY more of a hassle to use Peapod than to just buy the groceries yourself.

I have been using this service for a couple of years now. It is more expensive than going to the store and shopping myself but you can't beat the convenience. The last thing I want to do after a 10 or 12 hour work day is stop by the grocery store on the way home, then proceed to carry everything up the stairs to my kitchen. It's nice to leave work at 6:30 and know sometime between 7 and 9 pm (my preferred delivery time) the Peapod truck will show up with everything I needed from the grocery store. My biggest complaint is that virtually every single time I place an order something turns out to be out of stock. That means I either do without the item which is okay when it's the oreos or the chips but not good when it's the Italian Sausage that is needed for a special dinner the next day. Produce is another area where they are hit or miss. I've had great produce and I've had produce that was horrible but I guess that's the price I pay for allowing someone else to select for me. Overall, I love Peapod and I think they are currently experiencing some growing pains due to their popularity. Their customer service is amazing and I believe they will work out the small issues and continue to get better.

.We've used Peapod/Giant for several years. They,re dependable, and have excellent customer service. One delivery last year, an egg carton arrived with two broken eggs. I called Peapod and they immediately apologized and credited my account for the full price of the carton, in effect giving me 10 free eggs. Frozen food arrives frozen, dairy products and meats are always cold, even in our Washington summers. The fruits and fresh veggies are great, never bruised, small or unripe. In truth, I've been surprised at the consistent good quality of the produce that arrives. No bruised peaches or drippy raspberries.
I'm pretty pleased at the money saved using their "weekly specials" and on-line deals. Even without coupons, I always save more than I spend on delivery charges and I'm able to avoid impulse buying .Best of all, it's grocery shopping in bedroom slippers! I've bought everything from fresh deli meat to notebooks to Christmas cookies. I also like to buy a bouquet of tulips whenever I order and even the flowers arrive in pristine condition.
This is a great service for the very busy, the disabled and the elderly- not to mention those of us who want to watch where their money goes each week .Instead of going up and down rows, I order in 1/3 the time, from the comfort of my home, at any hour of the day. The delivery guys are always nice and even put the groceries right on my kitchen counter to be unloaded.
It might sound dull, with each delivery going as smoothly as the one before, until you remember what it"s like to stand in a long line with a toddler or two, watching the ice cream in your basket melt.

This is the 2nd consecutive week in a row where Peapod has failed to deliver all of the items that were ordered. Last week the order failed to include items, which were marked as delivered by the driver, to our service address, and today, an entire tote box that was to contain a section of our delivery was completely missing from the truck. Last week all contact phone numbers for Peapod were out of order ("the number you have reached ....") so we had to resort to email, which is always a black hole. This week we called and had to leave a callback message (after first being disconnected after waiting 10 min on hold), and fortunately, Peapod did respond via call back. While Peapod's customer service was very courteous and understanding, this is a service that you "either get it right 100%" or you don't get return business. The resolution of having credits applied to our order, and now having to go to the grocery store and obtain the replacement items, is barely satisfactory from a cost perspective and completely unsatisfactory from a "what is the entire purpose of Peapod?" perspective. Even if we use the service again it will be with low expectations. While I don't blame the driver (today), I do hold the previous driver (last week) responsible, and I certainly hold the pickers/packers of the trucks responsible. Peapod has an issue in quality and process, and they need to get this fixed.

I go on a website, order all my food, they set up a date and time to deliver it and then come out and put it on my countertop for me. I order off the website, but Giant Foods is all over my area. The price is whatever the cost of the food is plus $7.95; that's better than spending an hour and a half in the grocery store and packing it myself. I am disabled, so what I like about this service is my ability to take my disability out of grocery shopping.

They are a national company and were very good. They were very timely as well as friendly. They put the storage unit where it was convenient for me. Their price was good. I would use them again in the future.

They come within a two-hour time frame. They bring the groceries in your house. They charge $6.95 for delivery. They have people do the shopping for you. They are wonderful. They do a great job of picking out your meats and vegetables.

Peapod, a Giant Foods company, is a wonderful service. I live in DC but don't have a car. I use to drag or push my personal cart for groceries up and down the street, but now I've discovered the joy and convenience of shopping for groceries on-line and having them delivered right to my door. You shop, checkout and pick the day and time you want your groceries. What could be better? The delivery person always appears during the delivery window and has everything I ordered. I check the sales or red tags and order stuff in bulk, like laundry detergents, spring water, toilet paper and paper towels. Works very well for me.
