When the main start switch on my clothes dryer broke I needed to have it fixed quickly. I called G.S.R. Appliance Repair to schedule the service. After talking to the technician about what is broken and my dryer's model number, I was given a same day appointment. The service technician came right on time and soon after determined that the switch was not broken, but that the switch mount was broken. He quickly fixed the mount and re-installed the start switch and my dryer was working again. The whole repair went very smoothly and only took about a half an hour. I am very pleased with the service and will use this company for future repairs.

Things went smooth. I was contacted about an hour after I purchased a deal for $99 large appliance repair. We set up an appointment for two days out. I was called when they were on their way and he showed up on time. Made necessary repairs and I was charged an addition $49 for parts. Dryer working fine now...would definitely use again

We order a service check and cleaning service for my washer and dryer. When we 1st talked to him I explained I had a part that needed to be replaced if he could do it. He said that If I bought the part he would install it. So we said OK that wasn't a problem. When we ordered the service we requested a morning service time because our afternoons are very busy. When he called we talked to him on the phone the 1st day we explained this to him. He came to my house after saying he would call 20 minutes prior to his arrival. No one was home it was 3:30 in the afternoon. He called my phone 5 times yelling and leaving rude messages. 21/2 weeks later when the part came in he was called to come out and do the service check and cleaning plus install the part. I knew that there could be a possible addition charge for the part installation that wasn't the problem. He was in and out of my house in 5 minutes flat. NO SERVICE CHECK OR CLEANING. So I paid this man $150.00 to unplug a knob control panel and plug in the new one. Horrible service and customer service. Would never use him or his company again ever.

My refrigerator stopped working although the freezer continued to work. I called to schedule a service call about 11:30 am. While on the phone I was asked some questions. Then I was given the potential problems and the costs to repair each of them. This was really very handy to know in advance. I was told that they could be at my home later in the afternoon. I received a call about 4:30 that he was on the way. After he got to my house he went to work on the refrigerator and then showed when he found and what needed to be done. I am very happy with the professionalism, the discussion of possible issues and costs in advance and esp promptness in coming out. Oh yes and the follow up call the next day to make sure everything was OK and if I was satisfied. I would like to add that I called the store where the refrigerator was purchased. They would not schedule an appointment for 4 days. I also called another company I had used in the past. They would not schedule for over a week! (I found both of these hard to believe since it is very hard to live without a working refrigerator.) That is when I turned to Angie's list and found GSR. I will be calling GSR for all of my future appliance repairs going forward!

When it still wasn't working properly a few days after the repair, he suggested that the vent needed to be cleaned. We live in a condo building and the vent is long. Once I was able to get that done, properly, the dryer worked perfectly.

There are two things that keep them from having an “A”; one is their punctuality, they said that they will call between one and four and I called them at about 3:30 but they called me back at 5:30. They were very apologetic and they did still come that day but had I known that they were not coming earlier that day, I had found some things to do rather than waiting for their phone call. The other thing that is that while appreciate that they were able to get my oven back and running quickly but they charged a huge price.

It was an average experience. My wife and I were backed in a corner because a contract had just been put on our home and we needed a working oven for the impending inspection. We new the ignitor was out and contacted the provider with the make/model of the oven. The provider was supposed to show up in the early evening, but, by 7pm, still hadn't showed. We called him and he promised he'd be out that night. We would've called it off, but we needed the oven repaired. At 9pm, the provider showed and, in less than 20 min, our oven was fixed. Normally, it would end there, but I think the bill was way too high. I had researched the part costs, which were under $60, including shipping. When I questioned the provider about the bill, he mumbled something about "overhead". I paid the $240.00 he asked for and I guess I should be happy we got our oven fixed well and quickly.

My washer stopped draining over the weekend. I called Svilen, explained the problem and he thought that most likely it would be the pump (it's been making a grinding noise for some time). He said he would try to fit me in the same day and he did. He showed me what was wrong with the old pump, put in a new one and tested the washer. I have forgotten how quiet that washer was! Very happy with the responsiveness and would definitely use them again.

He struggled with removing the bins in the freezer because of the small space in my kitchen but he was determined to get the job done and was successful. After doing all he could with the refrigerator/freezer it still was having problems. He was honest to admit that because this was a new model he couldn't and wouldn't continue trying to fix the problem. I really appreciated this. I'm sure he could have kept coming back but he didn't. I would without a doubt recommend him.

Provider was very professional. He explained the pros and cons and let me make my decision with no pressure.

Our coils were shot. Svilen diagnosed the issue and showed us his cost for the parts needed, which were backordered at his usual supplier. They were also very costly. With labor, the cost of repair would have been nearly $1000, which was far more than the machine was worth. He recommended replacement, and noted that the service life an appliance made for the American market was usually 5-10 years. We also were having some minor issues with our washer, which he also looked at, without charging us for an additional service call. The issue there was apparently of our own making. He took the time to show me how to obtain diagnostics from the machine myself, which I appreciated. Svilen was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgable and willing to teach a man to fish (rather than just feeding him). We'd certainly use him again.

Great service. My refrigerator was fixed the same day I called. Turned out the circuit board that controlled the defrost mechanism was shot. They had a replacement part on hand so I didn?t have to wait for the part to be ordered. They defrosted the freezer and made sure everything worked before leaving. They did a great job of explaining how everything worked and what went wrong. Also waited a week to call me and see if everything was still working before they cashed the check. I would definitely use these guys again!

Great work! Initially found items blocking door but when I fully described what I had been seeing he was able to go in and find the shelf of ice that had built up and track it to the cause. Fully fixed in 90 minutes.

We chose not to fix the stove. He gave us very useful tips on how we can prolong the life of our other appliances and how we can keep our appliance safe.

The job went quickly and efficiently. He inspected the freezer and knew what the problems were. He replaced the ice making unit and installed a new heating unit. Total job took less than 1.5 hours to complete.

Svilen was excellent!!! We had called another company to come out and look at our dryer but there was a mix up and they never called us back. I called Svilen this moring at 10am and he was able to fit us in at 2:30pm the same day!!! I was so relived and happy because with 3 little boys the laundry piles up! Unfortunately, the problem with the dryer was going to cost almost as much to fix as getting a new dryer. Svilen was upfront and didn't want us to spend more money than we had to. He was honest and even glanced at our other appliances to tell us his thoughts on them (we had just bought this house and the appliances came with the house). We are so pleased with his help and professionalism and him going out of his way! We will definitely use him again for any needs in the future!

Svilen repaired the ice maker and then left for another job. After he left, I noticed our dishwasher was leaking. He came back and looked to see if it could be repaired. He recommended that we replace it, but also did not charge me for the second visit. I will use his services to install the new dishwasher. He was professional and looked for the best way to save us money.
