Budget Right Kitchens

Dirk came out to look at my kitchen and discuss remodeling options. He created drawings and managed to incorporate all of my requirements. I'm still not ready to start the work but when I do, I'll definitely work with Budget Right. Dirk was prompt, professional, easy to talk to and he really spent time trying to understand our needs.

He did not finish after we asked to use a craftsman that we had excellent experience with on a bath remodeling. Overall we weren't satisfied.

He was very adequate, but not sure I would want to work with him again. When I called to get pricing on cabinetry, he had to refer me to someone else. I decided I wanted my kitchen remodel one way he suggested another way and wouldn’t budge on the idea. Only designed it the way he wanted it.. He didn’t leave it open for discussion

.Budget Right Kitchens is an excellent company. He gave me the plans, we met in my kitchen, he kind of talked about what we were looking for and he was very friendly with very good ideas. He gave us some plans, we haven't started using them yet, we are going to make changes to the plans. They are a fine company and they provide excellent service. They didn't do any work other than come up with the plans. He also offered to help us change the plans if we came up with something else but the plans that we came up with were so different so we didn't get back to them.

The turnaround time for the design was perfect. I have referred him to other people. He gives you the flexibility to go wherever you would like to go with the design in order to get the best price and best product.

They arrived on time and did the work as stated within the deal. The designs turned out well.

The plans did not meet any of my specifications. He told me to get a refund from Angie’s List.

Called right before purchased deal expiration date. This was not an issue; Dirk was very flexible. On time, friendly. Only issue was my request for disability access to sink and stove were minimized. I think this deal was not the right deal for that special request. If I was redoing a kitchen for non-handicapped access, I would have used his plans/drawings. Drawings/plans were provided quickly. They gave a perspective on what we could do. Worth the $45!

The original phone call was answered quickly and professionally. The contractor showed up on time for the appointment and answered all my questions. A couple of days later I received the design plans in an e-mail. The only problem was that the person making up the plans forgot to put in a food pantry which was surprising to me since the contractor and I talked for more than 15 minutes exclusively about the pantry. When I e-mailed the contractor he was very responsive, but the second set of plans had a very small pantry. It took a third set of plans to finally have a reasonably sized pantry. We decided to use a different contractor for the remodel, but I liked the contractor from Budget Right. I would certainly consider using Budget Right in the future.

I may decide to remodel/ repair parts of my house in the future, and I'll consider this company.

Dirk is great. He's willing to redesign the kitchen plan after 3 months at no extra charge because I wasn't satisfied with the 1st plan. We met in person the 2nd time at the Advanced Cabinet Store (http://www.advancedcabinetscorp.com) and spent an hour discussing different options. He kept asking if I like the plan to make sure I will be happy this time. At the end, we walked through a different choices of cabinet and he also get me the estimate for the price of the cabinet according to the plan we finalized. In additional to the design service, he also provide material and labor estimate for the cost according to the design plan. I'm very happy with the service he provided given the fact that this is the big deal. I paid $45 for the actual value of $500 and he didn't compromise the quality of the service at all.

Excellent ideas and service, far better than any architects I have worked with in the past. Responsive, creative and a multitude of ideas, not just one. Thinks out of the box to help you out.

I have included Mr. Dirk's email to avoid misquotes. He states that they sent me something on Monday. Well, I had given Tim a copy of the work to be done just in case he missed something and I had requested an itemized list of labor and cost. To send me a bottom line which was agreeable and then send an 'I'm not interested' note was and is unacceptable as if I had not requested 'a real estimate'. How very UNPROFESSIONAL!

Buying the Angie's List special kitchen planning offer with Budget Right Kitchens (and subsequently hiring that company) was the best thing I could have done for my old house. Their expertise, their consistent good communication, their painstaking attention to detail, their professionalism made them a pleasure to work with. In fact, I was so impressed with Budget Right's remodel of my kitchen that it inspired me to make a (very bad but very true) poem: My kitchen was old, inconvenient and dark. Every step on the floor left an ugly brown mark. White countertops showed every burn, cut and scratch. The cabinet doors didn?t shut tight or latch. There just wasn?t room for my dishes and food, And the layout could always inspire a bad mood. The rest of my house had a comfortable look, But the kitchen was just not a good place to cook! It was time for a change but big changes aren?t easy; The thought of remodeling made me feel queasy. I had lots of doubts and I had lots of fears; It made me procrastinate too many years. At last I decided to take the big step; I chose a good company, checked on their rep. We looked at the problems and crafted a plan, Then down came the walls and the process began. Through good weeks and bad, I depended on Dan, For whatever the problem was, he was The Man. His phone number was the most called on my cell His guidance and help made it all turn out well. His attention to detail I needed to use, And he didn?t get mad when I just couldn?t choose. Jim worked on the project from the very first day; He ?demo?ed the walls and hauled refuse away. He worked on the cabinets, took time with staining Even when dust made it seem it was raining. Now wood colors match and so does the trim Thanks to the skill and the hard work done by Jim. My kitchen?s now finished and looking so great! It took weeks and weeks but was sure worth the wait! I know I?m as happy as happy can be, My kitchen looks gorgeous; and now I can see What I?m chopping or rinsing, with excellent lighting. The prospect of cooking is now quite exciting! I love the warm shade of my new oak wood floor, I love the convenience of my pocket door, I love the nice cabinets, fit like a dream, I love the great paint job ? hazelnut cream, I love the new backsplash like hot crème brule. My kitchen?s a room where I now want to stay! My friends will admire the complete transformation And it will be time for a BIG celebration!

It was difficult to schedule an appt. because there were many people's schedules that needed to be accommodated but Dirk rearranged his schedule to accommodate us.

The visit and discussion were helpful and the plans reflect our conversation. I feel that I got a good set of plans for this Big Deal.

Dirk came out, interviewed us and provided kitchen lans as per our conversations. I was favorably impressed with his responses.

We discussed updates to our kitchen but the person seemed to believe we were unlikely to go through with the job and did not seem to take seriously our interest.

Went well. Dirk understood the issues I have with my kitchen and how I use the space currently. He discussed all possible design ideas and how to place things. He sent me the complete design(blue print) of the kitchen within a couple of days. All in all, a very satisfactory and stress free job.

Dirk contacted us via email a few days after our purchase on Angie's List. We were able to agree on a date and time and Dirk arrived promptly. Dirk spent a great deal of time with us discussing our needs and offered some really great ideas that we had not thought about. We felt that Dirk would be easy to work with and even though we did not have the job done at this time we would definitely contact him in the future.

I purchased the deals buy it now and was planning to use it. They contact me directly right after I purchased the coupon. Yet, before the appointment, they called me and said that my property is not within the service area. The owner assist me to get a refund very quickly.

I made an appontment and had a service call. After revieving the option for my home the vendor dtermined that his service were probly not the best sited for my needs. While I was unable to use him at this time his suggestions and straight forward answers would encourage me to use him in the future should my needs change.

I ought a big deal coupon, however I never used it so cannot comment on the quality of the experience.
