This went well. They did a nice design. They were a little pricey for the work I needed done.

Despite the delay in providing a plan, the Owner came back and remedied the situation.

They do not service my area but they were very professional and prompt about calling me back.

They came to the house and measured our outdated kitchen. I was very impressed with the way the drawings turned out. My wife got everything she was looking for. I would use again in the future.

Tony and his crew are the best! They partitioned off the kitchen from the rest of the house and protected the furniture and floors to minimize dust. Agnes provided an incredible design, and took a fairly typical galley kitchen and opened it into a centerpiece of the rooms. I went a bit spendy (personal choice) on some of the high impact items like tile, backsplash, plumbing which changed the price a bit, but it was my choice once we got into the project as it was out of the original scope. There were no surprises, for the most part we were on schedule. A couple of delays with coordinating the fire sprinkler move and also coordination with the building for the gas line move, but those were building related and not contractor related. I can't stress enough how pleased I am with the outcome. I plan to use Tony and team to redo a bathroom in the near future.

It wasn't what I was looking for. Polite and professional service.

Due to health issues and unforseen circumstances, I had to cancel this service. They were very nice and professional in dealing with me and I would consider using them in the future.

The final price was very close to the original estimate. The amount was about $500 different. This was due in part to a prexisting leak they found during the remodel. All of the people we dealt with were kind and nice. They worked very quickly and completed the work in 7-8 days. There was a change made during the remodel that we liked better than the initial plan but it would have been nice to have been communicated this change ahead of time.

Had to make a second trip out to retake video and confirm measurements. Drawings took longer than expected. Nice drawings. Getting other quotes before deciding.

We couldn't afford to do the master bath the way they envisioned it and on top of that, we didn't like their plan. I wanted to discuss his ideas and see specific plans for the master bath and from what I gathered they couldn't keep track of which wall was an exterior wall and which wasn't. They seemed to be most concerned with the master bath project and wouldn't discuss the hallway vision. It made me feel like they were most concerned with the bigger project. We don't wish to receive any further contact from this provider.

They came out for to go over a bathroom design. They provided us with a drawing. It didn’t work out the way I was hoping. However, they said they would come back and redo the design for me.

The service went great. The designer was very nice and drew up some great plans. We were looking for designs on 2 bathrooms. Ultimately, I did not use them for the project because the pricing was a little too high. I felt like the deal was very good, however. They were very responsive and easy to schedule.

This was my first experience with Angie's list. I purchased the big deal because it says they serviced McHenry county. I was disappointed to see this was not the case. The service provider was very prompt in letting me know though, which was nice.

It isn't fully complete yet, it's August 8, countertop, appliances, back splash in the works. Same two man crew come everyday, always on time, very pleasant, work extremely hard, always clean up at end of each work day. Frank the salesman is excellent, always returns text and calls promptly, is physically on site to see progress. Would highly recommend I-Build.

The work stretched over a 6 month period, when it was originally stated that it would be complete in 5-6 weeks. Part of the problem was that the holiday season interrupted, and there were some unforeseen complications, but lately I have talked to other contractors in the city, and they say the obstacles should have been foreseen. . .Our Foreman was a very likable guy, and I enjoyed working with him, but overall I consider the work done mediocre in quality, although extremely expensive. There were times when the crew doing the work sent one poor guy when the task at hand was clearly a 2-3 person job (this resulted in decreased workmanship, of course), the finish work is messy, and there is paint primer everywhere. . .not all of it has been easy to clean up. I wouldn't hire them again. Overall, everything is complete, there are aspects I like, but I think someone else could have done the same job for less money. Or a better job for the same money.

All of my previous remodeling experiences have been less than pleasant. I was pretty sure it would go as usual- my husband would make all the choices and I would be stuck with a kitchen I was in the most and liked the least. We weren't expecting to go with a private company but iBuild were quick to respond to us and have a designer on staff! They made the overwhelming task of remodeling the entire first floor and both bathrooms seem really simple. We wanted a more modern look but nothing too flashy. They brought over samples and pictures of work they've done for other home-owners. The staff put our thoughts on paper to a T. I think that?s what made remodeling so much at one time so easy. Tony gave us guidance with how to add in the features we typically wouldn?t have chosen by ourselves: cabinets to the ceiling with lighting beneath, back splash, dark counter tops, crown molding. If there was something we wanted that was higher in price, Tony found a way to fit it in and adjust our budget in other areas. Probably one of the best things about this company is their accountability. The crew was there as scheduled and they kept us in the loop with everything. There were no surprises or added costs?.even with my husband (impressive) and just as we planned- the work they did is absolutely beautiful. At the end of the project, Tony suggested crown molding for the entire first floor. He agreed to pay for the labor if we paid for the material. It was a deal we knew we couldn?t pass up. Overall- they are well worth you time and $$$. I'd give this company an A+.

Overall. A major disappointment. The design meeting went great at their offices. I came away with a very good feeling and a lot of promises. It went downhill from there. The contractor lead Frank, a very nice guy. But the scheduling of delivery of new cabinets, work, and just about everything else was riddled with delays, misinformation, and tons of inconvenience. The 2 primary installers. Were not qualified carpenters, they made tons of mistakes with the cabinetry install. When they installed the door handles, they splintered every drill hole. Had to make the repairs myself. They splintered a lot of the cabinet back boards during the install. It took them 3 tries to get the stove installed correctly. It was during these multiple tries that they damaged the enamel paint on the side. I had to go back through each set of doors and re-level them so they looked even. I had to spend a day going through and clean out the sawdust, and dirt from all of the cabinets. It took 3 tries to get the refrigerator installed correctly, and had to order a new cabinet which caused a 2 week delay. the drywall plaster repairs were very poor. Frank even stated as such, but made no efforts to have them correct the mess they made behind the stove. I made 3 requests to have them come out and patch the drywall work so I could paint it. Still spotty and uneven. So will be making the final repairs myself as at 4 months dealing with this. Tired of having to waste my time scheduling them to come out. They even damaged areas of drywall where they were storing tools, and extra wood, and made no attempt to fix them. They contracted the counter tops installs out to a different company and that went pretty well. When they came to do final trim out. they brought scraps of trim instead of new. I guess they did not think I would notice. So all that work has to be repainted. Damaged my new stove, tried to hide it. Did not apologize when I called them out on it. Offered no compensation. Used my $500.00 Dyson as their shop vac. Used my $400.00 Blanco sink as a rinsing station for their tools. Had to spend a good 30 minutes getting that cleaned up. Had 3 different set of complaints from my HOA that I had to take care of. Caused a leak in my guest toilet, did not notify me of it. Just through down a wad of paper towels for me to find. So had to fix that myself and clean up the mess. I had very specifically asked for LED lighting above, and below cabinets. Frank showed up with Halogen which work, but are so hot they will eventually warp the wood from the heat they put off. So will be replacing them down the road with LED lights. They told me the work was completed. They had not even bothered to wire up the dishwasher, or trash compactor. The screw small wood screws in the wheels on my fridge for some reason, discovered that when I went to level the fridge. So had to remove them before I could adjust and level my fridge. So if you want delays, poor quality work, excuses, and aggravation. Then I-build is the company for you. But if not, stay away from them.

The designer came out and gave me the design in about an hour and a half. You will get basic reliable work. They did provide me with my own copy of the design. They did follow up to see if I was going to complete the work.

Initial meeting was good. The materials e-mailed were very helpful and are as follows: (a) Proposed budget for materials and labor, and proposed duration of project, once materials are selected. (b) 5 drawings showing design from different angles; 3 renderings; blueprint. Our original intention was to have work done in February 2014. Unfortunately, the bathroom re-do project is not likely to happen this year.

I Build Inc A lady named Patty contacted me wanting to set up the job, but I let her know I never received any blue prints. She contacted me a couple more times but every time I let her know I never got any blue prints. She was very kind. It's been two months since I have talked to her. I understand the company can get busy and employees can get overwhelmed. It might be a good company but it was not for me.

What a JOKE. They gave me a ROUGH estimate of $25,000 per bathroom to remodel. No break down on materials costs, labor and time to complete. Both bathrooms are about the size of ONE modern bathroom today. It was awful.

It hasn’t worked out as well as I’d hoped. They were late to our appointment – 2 hours. They called an hour into it and said they’d be late. They were supposed to send me a 3D rendering – supposedly in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks, I had to call them and ask where they were. Then the measurements on the tub weren’t correct. They followed up with me weekly after that, even though I’d let them know via email the drawing wasn’t correct. When they called, I asked that they respond via email – but they never did.

I was not too impressed with the service. I wanted them to provide the 3D plans for both the kitchen and bathroom. When I got the plans they were not what I had asked for and the plan looked like something I could have done on my own. The designer was nice and professional. They were prompt and scheduling was not an issue.

Went great. We were very pleased with the service and used many of the ideas to remodel our bathroom. I would definately use them again and highly recommend their services.

We are very happy with the end result - a big improvement over what we had and consistent with our vision. But getting there was a bit of a battle. The project was slated to take 3 weeks. It took 9 weeks, and it finished then only because of our daily efforts (phone calls, emails, texts) to ensure that things were on track to finish before we were scheduled to host guests in our home. The delay was particularly troublesome because we had to move out of our bedroom during the work.- i.e., for more than 2 months.
