Todd, the estimator, was great. He was very responsive to calls and answered all of my questions. The installer took longer than expected due to concrete breaks. The crew was good and courteous. One surprise we had was with the vinyl fence. The finished product is a little flimsy.

Todd was great for the initial consultation and estimate. He was willing to work with us on different ideas and options, and he later emailed us a quote very promptly. After scheduling the installation, the workers arrived promptly and were very polite and professional. They double-checked with me every step of the way, just to make sure that they were doing exactly what I wanted. The completed work was sturdy, neat, and looked amazing.

With one phone call to Advance Fence and Gate an appointment for an estimate was made and Todd responded promptly. We had three estimates and Todd's price was in the middle range of the three estimates. My husband was impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail and after reading all the positive posts for his company we decided to give him a try, and we are glad we did! The work was started on the day promised ( Friday) and completed the following Monday due to a rain delay. The fence is beautiful and my neighbors even commented how nice the fence is.I would recommend this company to anyone and would use them again.

They did an excellent job. They were fast, detailed and helpful. They also promptly replaced a few planks that cracked after exposure to weather, and even gave us a few extras to have on hand. I will definitely use the company again.

They were professional and punctual from the very start. They responded to my inquiry very shortly after my first call. Todd Kopke was punctual for his estimate appointment. He listened to our needs and structured a quote around what we wanted, and though he offered choices and made suggestions, he never tried to push something off on us that we didn't want. Some of the fence required customization, and even with that, the quote was right in the ballpark where I expected it to be. Once we made our decision to go with Advanced (we obtained quotes from 4 different companies), I sent them my deposit and survey of the property (for the permit), and they scheduled us in promptly. The crews arrived on time both days (first day for removal of the old fence and installation of posts, second day for installation of the fence), explained everything that they were doing, and cleaned up after themselves. They did an outstanding job on our fence; it is beautiful, sturdy and sound, and exactly what we wanted. I just received the final invoice, and there were no surprises. The final amount was to the penny on the quote. I would definitely do business with them again, and am thrilled to recommend them to others.

Great experience overall, the workers were quick and clean. The job was completed as the contract stated. Who can ask for more! They were a little more expensive than some other quotes we received, but you get what you pay for.

The salesman Todd Kopke is the best. Smart, attentive, prompt, knows his work.

They did an excellent job of making the fence straight and level. This part of the fence was almost perfect. The crew worked hard and were friendly. Todd was very responsive and professional. Quote was lowest of 3 quotes. Installation date was quick after order. He called to follow up and offered to adjust gates if needed. Overall, a very nice job.

I have worked with varied fencing companies and handymen across the past decade. Cedar wood fences require recurrent maintenance and repair because of Winters in Chicago and periodic wind storms. This firm is the best with whom I've worked. I plan on using them whenever I have future fencing needs. The estimator arrived on time on the date promised and did a thorough inspection of the rear fence. The workmen arrived on the date promised and completed the work about six hours later. A supervisor arrived mid-morning to check on project progress. The workers shoveled any dirt (resultant from digging) back into the landscape, removed construction debris, and left the site clean. The gate and posts were of very good quality cedar. The employees were courteous, professional, and hard-working. Great company! I recommend them highly.

I got 3 quotes from local fencing companies. Their quote was the lowest. Todd not only answered all my questions but was the only contractor that brought me samples and really helped us decide what we'd like. Everything was done on time. They had to install the fence around a large tree that took some extra time.The workmen worked quickly and stayed late to finish the job which we appreciated, however they left some metal ends scattered over the lawn and I'm still worried my mower might find one. The fence looks great and we're very happy.

Todd came and gave us an estimate. He was friendly and gave us numerous options. When the workers came, they asked many questions about how we wanted the fence to look, which I took as being thorough. There was a lot of dirt that was dug up, which is to be expected. (I did not even think about this ahead of time, but definitely something that everyone who is getting a new fence should be aware of.) The dirt was messy, but the men cleaned up the large quantities. Once the fence was up, which the workers did very quickly, it looked great. It appeared to be a slightly wobbly in the center, but it was explained that this is the case with a 6? PVC fence. We wanted a privacy fence, and we certainly got one that is pretty, sturdy, and was cheaper that most of the other quotes that we received.

The estimator/sales rep (Todd) was very professional, patient, and forthcoming with as much information as I wanted (April 2). Todd provided a proposal promptly after his visit, tho this required sorting out an email address error. After clarifying aspects of the proposal I accepted it and paid the deposit on April 15. I obtained the required building permit, tho the company will do this if requested. Several days later Todd called to schedule our job for April 28 (removal & set posts) and April 29 (build and install fence). After reviewing the work plan with me two workmen completed the fence on schedule. They were very courteous and professional and the quality of their workmanship seems very good. The quality of the material also seems good. The price of the job is at least acceptable - seems a little high but I did not try to negotiate a lower price. Overall I am very satisfied with dealing with the company and the work done, and would certainly use them again

Todd was incredibly responsive, clear in his estimate, and helpful with his advice. His crew showed up exactly when promised and did work of the highest quality. I strongly -- and I mean strongly -- recommend that you install a fence using posts reinforced with steel. Costs a little extra but is more than worth it. In recent weeks we had two neighbors lose one or more fence panels while our fence remains solid. Equality important, Todd and his crew stand by their work and do everything they can to make sure you're satisfied. Months after installation, when exteme cold had made the gate difficult to open, they came out and worked on the gate until it worked perfectly. I did my homework, got several quotes. and went through my neighborhood checking all kinds of fences. Advance Fences was easily the best for the money. Use this company; you will be glad you did.

Advanced Fence did a great job. Todd Kopke was very professional and gave me a few options to consider for the fencing before I made a final decision. He was available for any questions or concerns I had. The installation crew arrived on time and was very thorough in their preparations. The crew leader checked with me on a few points to make sure I understood what changes were occurring (the direction of one of the gates moved from opening on the left side to opening on the right side). They were always very polite and professional in their dealings with me. Even better, there was very little additional clean-up I have to do once they left. They redistributed the extra dirt just as I had asked them to do. The fence looks great. Although this was the highest bid I received (but only very slightly), the workmanship, materials and professional level made it all wothwhile. I highly recommend Advanced Fence.

The workers came early but very professional and completed everything within 2 hours. But a problem arose when I went to check their work. They had connected my fence to my neighbor's. Todd had specifically told me that that is not allowed (unless the other party agrees) and that a new post would be put in. I don't know why this happened since they had the post on the truck. But they did correct this and put in the post.

Todd was professional and had a creative solution to one of our problems. They came promptly and did a nice job.

He worked with us to schedule installation on days that worked with our available dates. The crew were first-rate. Punctual, professional, talented, hard-working and left the site clean both days. The first day we had to discuss slight interference with one of our gutter down spouts and the crew worked around it to ensure a clean line for the gate. There was also a slight interference with our rear garden bed which they accommodated. Replacing and installing fence and gates is more hard graft than we realized. We are very pleased with the overall quality of their work and would recommend Advanced Fence & Gate without hesitation. Thank you Todd and your excellent crew.

No need to look elsewhere for fence installers. I called the office to schedule a quote; and they were able to give me a rough estimate over the phone. Todd Kopke showed up at my house to provide a formal, detailed quote within the next day and it was within $20 of the rough quote. I had a few questions on details that were promptly answered by Todd via email. Advanced Fence and Gate obtained the village permit the day after I gave the order and downpayment. The work was done one week after that and took about four hours with a two man crew. They did not have to haul away old fence.

A few weeks prior to the work being done Todd Koppke came out to the house to give an estimate. He was on time for the appointment, did his measurements, prepared an estimate, and took time to explain the estimate, discuss fencing options, and answer my questions. Todd was very professional and knowledgable. I had three other estimates. The pricing was all close, but Advanced was among the lowest price, and they had a good rating on Angieslist. Day one: Fence crew arrived on time at 7AM. They removed the old fence (100 feet of old chain link fence and pulled all (11) footings). They put the old fence in the alley as previously agreed upon (no problem because scavengers in Chicago picked up the old metal within hours). They drilled holes and set new fence posts in concrete and spread excess dirt from the new post holes to various areas around the property, as directed by homeowner. The on site supervisor said, because of recent rain they would let the fence post concrete set overnight, and come back the next day to start building the new fence. I believe this was a good decision. Day two: The crew arrived on time at 7 AM and began building the fence according to the estimate/agreement. The installers worked all day and were done with the fence by about 3:30 PM. They were courteous, professional, and left the jobsite clean. Final Note: After inspecting the completed fence, I was not satisfied with the look of one of the gates. I discussed it with the jobsite supervisor. After a short discussion, He said since I was not satisfied he would come back to replace the gate in a day or two, since he did not have enough material to build another one in his truck. I informed Todd K., and it was agreed. A couple of days later (due to rain), the supervisor returned and replaced the gate. I am satisfied with the result, and glad they replaced the gate without argument. Many neighbors have passed by and commented how good the fence looks. I agree.

Smooth, painless, quick, efficient. The fence and gate look good. Only complaint is that the latch doesn't line up exactly (have to jiggle it a bit) when opening/closing the door, but we were warned it might happen from switching the direction the gate opens.

They are very punctual at returning the phone calls. The representative was here when he said he was going to be here. The representative is in touch with us as they are working on the city permit issue.

Everything went very well. The gate had to be special ordered, so Advance offered to install the fence immediately and return to install the gate when it arrived. Also, this allowed to be sure we were getting the largest gate possible. Our home is only 4' from the fence and we wanted a gate between the house and the fence to better control pets. Normally companies make you wait until everything can be done at once to reduce travel, or charge extra for multiple site visits. Montage comes in 8' lengths, but Advance didn't have a problem installing the fence at 6' as we requested. The fence was installed on a Wednesday, and they installed the gate on Saturday. We couldn't be home on Saturday, but they were able to install the gate with out any problems. We are extremely happy with the finished product and the service we received. We have already recommended them already to neighbors and are considering using them to replace another fence if we don't do the work ourselves.

They were quick to respond. I wasn?t at home when they did the work, but I was satisfied with the completed work.
