I was very pleased w/ Jack's professionalism,suggestions, and flexibility when determining what we finally wanted to accomplish (we had him estimate 3 or 4 different scenarios before settling on one). As far as the work itself, Glenn worked by himself in the tear down and remodel w/ the exception of the installation of the countertop - loved his attention to detail, the cleanliness given a complete tear down, and the ease to work with. He dealt w/ our dogs very well and we felt very comfortable w/ him to the point where we if we had to leave him alone in the house or give him access when we weren't home, we let him do his thing. All in all, the bathroom looks great and we already have some projects that if we pull the trigger on, will have Philbin do the work.

My husband and I love our bathroom. The completed project looks even better than we imagined before Matt and his crew got started. The products used are top quality and very well made. As with any major remodel, we had some issues along the way - nothing major, but things not always anticipated. We learned that one of the tiles that we had picked out was discontinued, which may not have been an issue except we thought it had been ordered already. We ended up finding something that we liked much better, but it did cause some headaches. We were also over our initial budget, however, that is mostly due to upgrades that we decided to make and not related to the work done. Since having the bathroom completed we have noticed a few things that needed to be corrected, none of which are major and when I talked to Matt about it he took care of things. It makes us much more comfortable with our decision to know that Matt is still available and concerned with making sure that we are satisfied with everything. As I said, we love the bathroom and are incredibly happy with the work done and the people involved. From start to finish Matt was (and is) available to answer any questions we might have and guide us through the whole project. He did not push anything on us but listed to what we wanted and helped us find the best products and solutions to fit both our vision and our budget. I would definitely recommend Philbin Construction & Remodeling to anyone who is thinking of having work done! We are very happy that we did.

It went quickly and neatly. No complaints.

They liked them very much. I have a feeling that they are going to go with them, so I think it must have been an okay experience. He sent them a 3D mock up and everything last week. Right in the middle of everything one of their family members had a heart attack so there was a delay, but I mean they were real prompt in letting us know what was going on and how long it would be. I think it put a week delay on it, but no one was upset about it and they seem to feel it's a very family oriented business. I'm pretty sure that they're going to do this job with them and they're already thinking about when they get the money again to do another job. They feel that Philbin Construction & Remodeling has been very upfront and very honest.

Great responsiveness. Excellent communication skills throughout the project. They met our time expectations, and met the initial estimates even though most of the work was time and materials. Quality of work was very good. They helped us meet our goal to prepare house for market. Punch list at end of project was very small. Team did a great job cleaning up after their work!

This company is very professional. Matt was courteous, punctual & took his time with me in order to give me an estimate. I am not using them because their quote was out of my budget however I would give them another shot on future projects I have.

From Matt Philbin's quick response to our initial email inquiry, and throughout our kitchen remodel project, we could not be more satisfied. Matt's vast knowledge and his patience with us during the design phase made us feel confident in him. His professional crews, specifically John and Glenn, were very efficient and professional. This is the third time we've used them. They have done quite a bit of work for us. We like them. They are easy to work with and they use good quality materials. The workers they send are always really easy to get along with. We feel perfectly fine leaving the house for a couple of hours. The first time they worked for us the basement was a big project and we actually went on vacation for a week or ten days because they weren't done so we left them. They do really good work and they stand behind everything. They are a great company. We told our neighbors about them and one of them have already used them.

They were great but they did not have the product I wanted. We could have done business with them if they had the product I wanted. Everything about them was good. We did not get far into the process because they did not carry the cabinet with him and the product they did carry was not what my wife wanted. Price wise he was in the same ball park as the other companies.

Matt submitted a good design and discussed it thoroughly with us.

I was very impressed with them and the reason that I did not use them was because we had date restrictions. They were well-spoken. They had quoted for a variety of items so it would be difficult to talk about their price. They were more expensive than the other service provider that I used. The main reason that I did not use them was the date restriction. Their estimate was precise and they took time to do it. They were very good. It would be within the run of possibility that I would call them again.

The company provided a detail estimate for the project, however, the price was significantly higher than any other quote received. Even so, I think I would consider this company for another project if I was able to afford it. For the proposed project, I was not willing to spend that amount of money.

Matt Philbin is extremely professional and I would work with him again in a heartbeat. He showed up on time to meet with me and came over a second time to meet with my husband. He was also on-sight frequently when his workers were here. Matt has assembled an incredible team of tradespeople who know exactly what they are doing as they are very experienced. An incredible amount of forethought was needed for this project due to wiring and plumbing concerns and the results were stunning. They were very careful to clean up after each day. Matt actually designed the new look of the kitchen, suggesting the additional woodwork, selecting the faucet (that I love) and the Insinkerator (which he insisted on). My husband and I selected the tile and counter-tops. Matt's showroom in Mokena is beautiful and he has a lot of samples that he let me keep for a long while as I was making color decisions, which was nice. I made two change orders that affected his actual quote, which if taken without those change orders was only .85 cents over. I found that impressive. There were no financial surprises at all. Matt has a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to work with, even performing marriage counseling when my husband and I had a breakdown at Home Depot! We called him on a Saturday and he talked us through our decision, he was available by phone at all times which was really helpful. Remodeling can be stressful but I think this was actually the most stress free construction project I've ever been through. I'm very pleased with the result and people think I installed new cabinets. Nice job Philbin Remodeling and Construction!

I gave them an idea of the remodeling project that I was looking for and I was really looking for a cost that I should be setting aside and investing for the project. When he came out he said that in order to get a cost we would have to draw up some plans. His main guy was in intensive care so they were unable to give me a cost for the work. He was very pleasant, professional, and helpful. I did appreciate him.

Matt came out to see what we wanted done. He was great at communicating with us. He gave us various options for the projects. He also sent us websites with information and told us stores where we could go to see some of the products. He wrote up a job description and modified it for us a couple of times. He was very thorough in writing down exactly what they would be doing. It was a pleasure working with him. He also stopped by a few times during the work to see how things were going. The work crew was great too. They were considerate and pleasant and easy to have around. They were really good at what they do and creatively handled any problems that came up. They were able to make everything look so nice.

We worked with Amy throughout the whole remodeling process. She is a gem! She came to our house initially when we requested a free estimate. She spent a lot of time with us, answered all of our questions and was very thorough in her assessment of what would and could be done. She also met with us at the office when we made some choices of products and went over the whole itemized estimate with us. We were given a list of specific stores and people to contact for choosing tile, lighting and carpeting. Each of them turned out to be very helpful and knowledgeable, which made the selection process so much easier. Amy made follow-up visits and calls to our home before, during and after construction. She cheerfully took all of our calls when we needed to talk with her. When construction started, the workers arrived promptly every morning. They checked with us if they had any questions and offered helpful suggestions and advice. Each worker had the skills needed to do the job well. At the end of the day, they cleaned up before they left. They did a great job and it was easy to work with them. The Philbin Company knows how to treat a customer. Communication was excellent and they were committed to doing the best job possible and pleasing us all the way. Any problems that came up were addressed promptly. They use very good quality materials and products. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The work went very well from the time I contacted Matt for an estimate to the completion of the job. They were there at 7 a.m. all three days and made sure that they covered the floors before they began. To minimize the dust from the sanding of the new drywall, the workers installed temporary walls of plastic and kept the bathroom door closed while the work was being done. Each day before they left, the workers made sure that everything was cleaned and hauled all garbage away with them.

They are wonderful. They are prompt, courteous and reliable. They do not start a project until they can move to completion and in the least number of days. They are not always the lowest estimate but have shown each time that the materials they use are above quality of many other competitors. I could never recommend them enough. I also appreciate that we have had some jobs estimated that we have chosen not to complete and each time they give us the space and time needed to make the right decision for us. They never make us feel badly for considering the competition.
