cathy said the job would take about three days and it did. it was a total transformation to my house. it looks fantastic. i would recommend hooks landscaping to anyone who wants a great landscaping design competed at a very reasonable cost.

I used Hook's Landscaping to remove an Ash tree, trim evergreen bushes and place landscaping stone near my front walkway. The sales person returned my call quickly and came out shortly after to provided an estimate. I requested that the work be performed as soon as possible. 10 days after the estimate, the work was completed. They are very accommodating and I would use them again. They did a good job!

Hook's provided an exceptional quality of service at a very reasonable price. 1. Responded promptly when we called for a proposal. 2. Took notes of our needs and took pictures and made careful measurements. 3. Came back 2 weeks later with a complete design and estimate. 4. Did a beautiful job executing the design. Beyond our expectations. 5. Surprised us by doing extra work like resoding a patch of lawn and mulching around trees near the street that were not part of the project. Now our 20 year old home looks brand new because of Hook's landscaping work. Thank you.

Highly recommend Hooks! I had an appointment set up within a few days of contacting them, and Cathy came out to assess our situation. We asked for a quote to work on the front of our house and also to repair a side paver pathway and retaining wall in the back. We ended up doing just the front for now, and would definitely use Hooks again to do the side and back. They worked within our budget, and Cathy had great suggestions on what to put in. She also went with a darker stone which compliments our home better. Cathy was helpful with care tips, and we've been careful to keep up with the watering during the dry weather in the late summer. All of our plants have taken well. Overall, we had a great experience. Hooks was prompt, professional yet personal, honest and provided quality work and products at our home. I was under the impression that Cathy would check in on the work a few times, but after I got home she seemed to have a close handle on all the details being worked by the crew. You can't go wrong with these guys. You can always shop for a better price, but knowing you're in good hands is priceless. And by the way, I thought their price was fair for the work they did.

From start to finish, this was a top rate experience. The initial consultation was very professional. We discussed what we had in mind and Chris brought a number of his own ideas based on first glance. Upon our second meeting- and after he had time to reflect on the measurements, our preferences, and the materials we were considering- he had a clear vision of how the patio would ultimately look. He brought sample materials and had pictures to support what he proposed, Once we were ready to go and a commitment was made and we scheduled the start date, Chris and I were in contact along the way discussing further details of the patio. Start to finish, the job took 6 days. One day was pure demo of the existing patio. The next 4 were construction- this job included new gas, electric, and plumbing- all of which Chris coordinated. By the fifth day, the work was 95%. Other contractors had to come back and adjust the new grill and island, but everything was fully done by day 6. What impressed us most was the focus of the crew. They showed up at 7am and often worked until 6pm or later. This type of project easily could have taken a less experienced team 2-3 weeks, however Chris and his guys are pros. They left my yard cleaner than when they arrived and I am extremely happy with final result- it is a masterpiece.

It went wonderful. They gave a lot of helpful suggestions. They listened to what I wanted, got the plants put in, and they even sent me a thank you note. They contacted me later to see how everything was going, and indicated they would do a followup visit to check on plants. The designer/project manager (Cathy Bianchi) did a fabulous job.

The install went very well & fast. Cathy is very friendly, honest & really knows what she is doing. She and her crew worked very hard and fast to complete the job. Very professional and left no mess behind. Very happy with the work that was done. Would highly recommend Hook's Landscaping.

The rep promptly contacted us and scheduled a date to provide an estimate. She listened to what we wanted and based on our description provided a quote about one week later, which was exactly what she said she would do. The price quoted was just under the amount we had budgeted for the project. Relative to the other quotes we got, the other two quotes were around the same dollar figure, but only included the front of the house, not the sides. We were given an install date of the middle of July due to weather. They were able to move us up to the first week of July. The rep arrived with the crew and supervised the installation, which was completed exactly as she said it would be. Since my husband and I had to work during the day, the rep agreed to meet with us that evening to review the install. She arrived exactly at the designated time and provided detailed instructions for caring for our new plants. We were thrilled with the results and would definitely recommend using Hook's Landscaping. Our neighbor was so impressed that he asked them to provide some services for him as well.

Being a homeowner for many years, we have had a lot of experience working with contractors to get jobs done. It can be very frustrating. From the first contact Hooks was great. Chris answered his phone on my first try- no phone tag. Cathy, his project manager was at my home within a few days with an estimate and suggestions for plant material. She was always easy to contact and always returned calls promptly. I hired them and work was done when promised. Their crew did a great job installing the plants and mulch. The yard looks great and we couldn't be happier. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to neighbors. It's very refreshing to find a professional and competent company- not always easy. Chris, the owner, initially came out to obtain my requirements and to look the job over. A week later he gave me an estimate of cost along with a photo of my house with the new landscaping "photo shopped" in. This gave me an opportunity to see what the end result would be without having to guess or visualize it from vague descriptions. Everything bid on was done in a professional manner as expected with the exception of the pond clean out and refill. It was found that there were several holes in the pond lining and the lining would need to be replaced thereby, this was skipped. The rest of the job went very well. There was a crew of three plus Chris who did the coordinating. They all worked very hard over two + days starting at 7:30 until 5 the first day and 7:30 until 7 p.m. the second day. They came back the third day to finish up and were done about noon. They cleaned up very well and removed all debris every day. Hook's did everything that they had agreed to with a few extra items that I had not expected. For example, they installed edging and decorative rocks around the mail box, installed sod in several bare/worn areas in the back yard, and power washed the patio until it was clean (this was not an easy or quick job). It was evident that everyone wanted to do a good job and was proud of their work. I am very satisfied with the end result.

Cathy came out to give us an estimate. We had ideas. She could've went for the quick/easy sale, but she didn't. She had a better vision, and we're glad we trusted her with that vision. Her sincerity, knowledge, frankness to tell us that our idea wasn't the best idea, and willingness to take her time with us made it an easy decision for us to use Hooks. We didn't bother comparing with other landscapers. She made it easy to communicate back in forth between the time of our estimate, and the time of the installation (with adjustment & questions). Everything was well orchestrated the day of installation. The crew worked quickly & efficiently. I couldn't believe they were able to finish the project in the amount of time they did. The owner of Hooks even came out to shake our hands, thank us, and check on the project. The finished product was flawless. We were impressed with the job they did, and we've been very pleased with the fact that Cathy took her time to make sure we understood how to manage & maintain our new landscape (as well as our existing landscape!). She's been very good at keeping an open line of communication. It's apparent that she still cares about us, even though the project is finished. Great work. Great service. Great communication. Highly recommended!

The work was awesome. The workers were very professional, on time, worked so hard (12 hour days) to complete on time. Friendly, answered all my questions. Checked with me when they had design questions. Could not have been happier with the finished product.

Chris and his workers were really great. Although not a "great negotiator", Chris was fair on the pricing of his services. He came out for a walk through of the property taking notes and measurements. The contract process was thorough and I was set up with an estimated date for services. There were weather issues that impacted our plans but Chris was good about calling and rescheduling. On the date of service he showed up with an army of workers that did just that! I was pleased with the professionalism of his staff and how they kept things as clean and orderly as they could. I had a 2-day job and both days they cleaned up before they left the site. All things considered I am happy and am already having neighbors to come by asking who did the job.

Chris came to discuss the project. He had a design developed which included all of my favorite plants. His crew moved a large evergreen, repaired our patio, added many wheelbarrows of dirt & mulch to the site, and replanted everything. Also brought in new sod to cover up the bare spots in the lawn. His crew of workers never seemed to stop despite 90 degree temps. They cleaned up beautifully and were careful of not leaving our gates open so our dog could escape. Overall, I'd hire Chris again and again - very professional!

Chris was outstanding. He followed through start to finish. He was available to answer all my questions via call or text. Top notch service and work was done.

I have a tendency to do a lot of research and get as many quotes and talk to as many as people as possible before I commit to an installer or buy a product. I do this so I don't have any regrets. And this time was no different. My husband joined Angie's list where he found Hooks Landscaping. Chris Hook came out on a Saturday morning and met with me. We went over all of the ideas my husband and I had. Chris saw our vision, took some pictures of the house and by that afternoon he emailed me a picture of our house with what the landscape would look like. Chris even took it a step further and added some extra features such as landscaping stones. We had a budget that we wanted to stay in and Chris did his best to stay within the budget. He told us that we were looking at the first week in June for our install and with all of the rain we have seen this year I was pleasantly surprised to see him and his team bright and early on Monday of that week. He has a team of hardworking people that didn't stop until the job was done. And the landscape looks even better then the pictures. We have gotten so many compliments that we would definitely recommend Hooks to anyone that asks.

Great. Professional from start to finish. All workers the same. Chris worked with us to make sure we were happy with the plan. Beautiful outcome and will definitely call him this fall when ready to do the back yard.

Not even willing to get with me and discuss an estimate. HOOKS LANDSCAPING LLC had time to reply to my request almost immediately, but only to tell me my project wasn't worth their time. POOR business practice if you ask me. Take 30 minutes. Send someone out to work with me in a way that makes it worth doing business for HOOKS LANDSCAPING LLC and for me. Don't just give me the middle finger (not literally, but figuratively of course). Anyway, I will do what I can to flag this business as someone I will NEVER do business with.

Chris was extremely polite and responsive to all questions throughout the process, as this was our first time going through such a large yard project. He came out very quickly after we requested an estimate and kept us apprised of status between then and when the job was actually completed. He even checked in with us in the middle of the day when the project was being completed to see how things were going. It was great to know that he was available to answer our questions, and would call back quite quickly if we had to leave a message. With regard to the actual yard project, when purchasing our home, we inherited quite a mess of plants, bushes, etc. that were not maintained, plus a yard shed that was standing, but not in the best condition. The team that performed the services came out and cleared all unwanted plants, bushes / trees (including all stumps), tore down the shed, leveled the yard, used existing flagstone to create a beautiful walkway from our driveway to side door, and more. To put the job in perspective, there was so much overgrowth, that once everything was cleared, our yard seemed to double in size / useable space. The crew was polite, professional, and extremely diligent, getting the entire job (which was huge!) done in about 10 hours. I appreciated that when they had questions about whether something should be kept or discarded, they asked. Overall, we are very satisfied with the job done by Chris and his team and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job at a reasonable price.
