They were very pleasant and great workers. They were probably one of the best priced places out there. I did some shopping around and they were a little more expensive but they don't use illegal aliens. These are all documented aliens. It cost me a little bit more but I wanted U.S. people doing my lawn and not undocumented people. Quality of service was fantastic. When they said they were going to be here, they were right here on time.

It went well and was completed on time.

Cathy was very helpful in designing my new landscaping and her entire team was professional and friendly. Appreciate all they did to complete the project before my deadline. Would definitely use again!

Cathy listened to our wish list and created a design that was awesome. She was readily available throughout the project. The entire team worked in extreme heat and humidity to get the job done on time. They were very, very polite and professional. They left the area clean each day. We even requested landscaping for our front yard at the last minute. We told Cathy the shrubs that we wanted and they were planted and mulched the next day. Amazing! Everything exceeded our expectations. We thought we would have to plant the grass around the patio, but much to our surprise the entire area was sodded. All we had to do was walk out on the patio and enjoy! We highly recommend Hook's and would not hesitate in hiring them again.

Chris and his team were on-time and very professional. They had the work done in a couple of days. Never complained when we asked them to stage building materials across the street so that they were not on the brand new driveway that we had put in right before the landscaping; nor, when we asked that the landing on the paver walk be slightly modified (post install) to make it a little larger. Very happy with the outcome and am looking at them for another job on the side of our property for this Fall.

We wanted a paver patio with a gas fire pit and we were assured that they "did these all the time". However, the design they recommended, when reviewed by a professional plumber, was dangerous and could have exploded!! They tried charging us for materials that were not appropriate for the job. They actually recommended using plastic tubing inside the fire pit! Less than a year later, we have broken pavers, places where there is no sand between the pavers and moss and weeds growing in between. I notified the owner of the broken pavers and lack of sand three months ago. When I notified him of the moss and weeds he said, and I quote: "I'm not fixing your moss and weeds. Get a power washer and wash it off." He also stated he won't repair the broken pavers. If that's the kind of service you'd like for a patio costing thousands of dollars, give them a call. If not, I suggest you find a professional and courteous alternative!

Working w/ Hooks Landscaping was great and easy. I had a vision for our backyard in our new home, and it is now a reality. Cathy provides her professional advice, keeps in great contact, and provides detailed information for upkeep, etc. Also, the crew did a great job cleaning up....I could never tell a crew was here taking apart my back yard. I look forward to working with them in the future!

Cathy and her crew were the best. She came out initially to help me decide on new beds, new shrubs, and how mulch new mulch (first time for this yard). It came out better than we could've dreamed of! Cathy was so knowledgeable and nice, a true pleasure to work with. Am already thinking of ways I can get her back here.

Chris and his crew did an awesome job. We had some ideas for our yard when we first met with Chris, but his expertise helped flesh them out, and the results were even better then we expected. We had a lot for them to do - take out an old concrete slab and hedges, and replace with Unilock paver patio; dig out an old tree stump and trim trees; re-sod a portion of the yard; relocate decorative stone trim around the house and add several yards of mulch in the front and back yards. Chris and his crew were very professional, and finished everything in four days - as promised, even with a last-minute add-on request. Chris was also very responsive, both by phone and email, to all inquiries. We are very pleased with how the work came out, and would highly recommend them for your landscaping needs.

Cathy was great to work with. She really knows her stuff and is eager to share her expertise. The project took 1 afternoon and Cathy was on-site supervising her crew of 3 the entire time. I am pretty particular about things, and she was happy to accommodate, enthusiastically collaborating on everything from the shape of the beds to the placement of the plantings. The quality of the plant materials seems very good, her crew was courteous and efficient - I felt like we were in good hands.

Everything went as planned, the only guy who followed thru with promises.

I requested a quote on June 3rd, 11 days later I have not heard from them through e-mail or phone. I requested a voice mail be left should I not be available at time of call.

Chris responded quickly after I first called him and he came out to see the property within a few days. After gathering input on what I wanted, I received a computerized image of the front of my house with his proposed landscaping. This was very helpful in deciding if I'd like the look. Hook's also put in a paver patio, built a berm from the dirt removed for the patio and installed a few good size trees in the berm, The results were beautiful; his team is very hard-working. I've received alot of compliments on all that was done. I was very happy to see that Chris does design very well and delivers high-quality work on time; from contract signing to project completion, it was within six weeks. Also, Chris was very responsive from start to finish, which helps greatly in making working with a contractor a positive experience! I highly recommend Hook's Landscaping.

My wife and I can't more pleased by the work done by Hook's Landscaping! If you are looking for a company that is punctual, call/emails back in a very timely manner, polite, knowledgable and reasonably priced then this is the landscaping company for you. There is no doubt in our mind that we will continue using them in the future and telling anyone who will listen that Hook's Landscaping is a diamond in the rough amongst all the landscaping companies out in the south/southwest burbs.

Requested fill of hole and sod after we took down pool. Offered for small extra fee to take the pool down and remove debris which we gladly took them up on. The crew was professional and very efficient. Took down the pool quickly and filled and sodded 24ft pool area and rocks surrounding in 1/2 day. F/u call done by owner to explain sod care and to make sure we were happy with job They did an excellent job. Completely cleaned up area. Very pleased with results and follow up. Would use again for future jobs

Chris is very knowledgeable and polite. He communicated very well from beginning to end of project. The work done was great and they got it done in a very timely manner. The price was a great value and fair for the amount of work accomplished. I would not hesitate using Hooks on another project and have already recommended them to my friends.

Everything looks beautiful. Cathy came out soon after I called for an estimate. She had great ideas and the price was fair. They are a pleasure to do business with. Cathy also came out the morning of the work and when it was completed to make sure it was right. She also followed up with a phone call to make sure we were pleased. We are very pleased.

The job went well. The project manager stayed and worked the entire time with her crew. The three new bushes look great. My landscaping was dug up during a sewer line repair. Cathy the project manager came out right away and made an economical suggestion for some new bushes and to remove some overgrown Japanese Barberries. After the suggestion, she came back in two weeks to do all three projects on the same day. The bushes are low growing and will spread out to cover the sewer cap. I am very happy with the results.

This company repaired our brick paver front steps. The quality seems good, and no issues with the work so far. The problem was with the service. They were supposed to arrive to do the job on a particular day and they were supposed to confirm the day before. Apparently, the weather was bad and so understandably, they did not show. What we did not care for is they just showed up on a random day without any notice. Neither my husband or I were home. When they completed the job, they were being very insistent to our babysitter that she had to pay them the balance of the funds, which she couldn't do. Overall, we feel they are unprofessional to work with. They should give advance notice if they cancel an appointment or reschedule. It is unreasonable to expect us to be home at any time.

What can we say other than WOW!!!! The Hooks landscaping team are phenomenal. We had landscaping of our backyard as well as a firepit built. They were very professional. The quality of work from the planning to the execution of all of the work was awesome. We are newbies when it comes to taking care of landscaping so Cathy,(salesman/ onsite manager) was very patient with us. She listened to all of our ideas and then made practical suggestions for enhancing our dream backyard. We are very pleased with how both the backyard and the firepit look. We are already looking forward to using them next year for some additional landscaping and maybe a water feature! Cheri and I highly recommend that you use this company for your landscaping and hardscaping needs!!

They did excellent work! The men worked diligently and were extremely professional and did a fantastic job. From the initial quote from Chris the owner, to the completed work, it was a great experience. I highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again.
