On both repair occasions the work was completed satisfactory. The plumber was thorough and complete. Many pipe connections had to be disassembled, cut and rethreaded which required a complete knowledge that only a master plumber would have. The work area was clean upon his departure and the system is leak free. The work included draining the system of water, making the repairs which included new pipe sections, joints, couplers/connections, rethreading new pipes, re-soldering joints, and recharging the hot water boiler system. After he left the all-day job he returned approximately 10-minutes later to check a connection he wanted to ensure he had closed (something on top of the boiler system)...and, subsequently tightened or closed a connection. He drove off and I walked around the basement to check his work. All was ok. I knew the bill would be pricey but it was fair considering the Chicago north shore location where we live. Good work does not come cheap. I was happy to pay and now that we are experiencing very low temperatures I am content to know that nothing is going to blow down in my basement.

They charge per job, as opposed to per hour, which I liked. They fixed my problem, and I was very pleased with my interaction with them! Kevin was the man who came out, and I just loved him!

They are all A?s for their services. They are good. I think that they are kind of expensive, but I have found that they do quality work. I pay them on a yearly basis. I will continue to use them in the future.

They are fabulously responsive, and their service is impecible. You do pay a lot of money for their service.

problems at both the initial installation and then continued problems when seeking warranty repairs. Their manager was the biggest problem of all with some of the most unkind and unprofessional customer service I have ever received in my many years of home ownership.

I have been using Ravinia plumbing for the past few years. Due to the odd configuration of our plumbing, we have had a lot of sewer problems and they have addressed each one quickly and cost-effectively. They have rodded my lines many times. When I began having a problem with one of my lines only 2 months after it was rodded, they promptly returned to re-rod and charged me a very insignificant amount compared to the number of hours they spent redoing the work. They made this accomodation to me even though the effectiveness of rodding can never be guaranteed. I finally had them install outdoor clean-outs for my two sewer lines. They gave me a very reasonable estimate and were here starting the work within two days. Their plumbers are all really great to work with (especially Ray and Andy). When they encountered unforeseen difficulties, they took the extra steps necessary to determine what the problem was and to fix it -- all while coming in at the bid price. An excellent company both in the quality of their services and their dedication to their customers. I would highly recommend them.

They were very responsive. They came out and gave me a written estimate and stuck to the estimate price. I recently had a basement flood and the gentleman who came out to do the installation was willing to explain to me what had happened and offer some suggestions for what we could do to prevent and avoid flooding again. I think that we could have found a company to do the work for cheaper, however I think there would have been a compromise on the quality.

Good experience. It was 10 below zero that day and I was afraid I had broken or frozen pipes. Plumber was neat and friendly.

The workers at Keystone are amazing. They are extremely punctual. They can do anything. They are very accommodating. The experiences I have had with them are painless. They are amazingly reliable.

Not having two toilet valves on the truck, the plumber said he had to go back and get the other valve. I would be charged an additional "initial" visit fee of $57.00. I declined to use his services because I did not want to pay for their lack of inventory on the truck. The plumber returned within 5 minutes, said he'd checked with his boss and they would not charge me the secondary fee. Moreover, they would deduct 15 minutes from the work. Even with the deduction, I feel the price was too high. Today, we have a major leak from one of the toilets that was fixed, and I have to call another plumber.

I called, and (as usual) the Mahoney people had someone out within the hour. Eric tried everything to unclog the sink using various snakes and tools -- no luck, because the clog was large and none of his tools could break through. He tried every possible avenue to avoid a big bill, but eventually he had to install an access valve inside an access panel in our finished basement. He warned us that there would be a flood of smelly water when he sawed through the pipe to install the valve, and he feared our carpet would be damaged, but he would take every possible precaution. He did -- using layers of drop cloth and lots of buckets -- and it worked. No damage to the carpet! We got an access valve out of it (to make future uncloggings much easier) and a clear sink for our 20 guests that night. Eric is great. We've had him here for other repairs on occasion, and he always does the work well, and tolerates our big and "enthusiastic" dogs as well. Overall, Mahoney always responds promptly to my calls, and always is able to get someone here within a few hours. Plumbing charges are always painful, but I think Mahoney is a little less painful (i.e. less expensive) than other places in this area.

Toilet was making groaning noises. Ravinia replaced a defective part. Due to layout of the bathroom, access to toilet tank is limited. He wasn't sure if replacing this one part would solve the problem but to do a more thorough job would require taking the toilet out and a significant labor charge. We opted to go with the simple repair and so far the noise has not recurred. He also gave estimates on repairing several leaky faucets and suggested replacement due to their age.

They were here within 2 hours of the initial call, they diagnosed the problem and repaired the furnace. Their prices were a little high.

Responsive, punctual but cost over twice the expected amount. Not sure I will use them again but decided to go with yes because there is no maybe. Here's he story: we had a leaking toilet that had to be fixed. Called Keystone (DiPiettro). They were professional and punctual. Came out the first time and said they had to order some parts. I discussed the overall cost with them and it came to under $200. Scheduled a second appointment, again came right on time. I admit that the guy was working here for a long time but the ultimate bill came out to 445, over twice the expectation. For that kind of money I could have replaced the whole toilet.

They are very professional and explained what they were doing and were up front about the hourly charges. They are fair and honest about their work ethics.

I have used this company for a while. They do their work methodically and are hardworking. I trust them. I feel that they have good business practices and they want to help people.
