Description of Work: This provider is actually served by Lindeman. Douglas is gone to another state per Lindeman serviceman.

Description of Work: Relined three chimneys with heavywall stainless steel liner. Broke tile in all three to fit proper size liner to draw properly. Insulated between liner and brick with Thermix. |New damper and frame so that could seal smoke chamber with Chamber tech 2000. |This was a big job and took six days. Will need to wait for cold weather to test draw in chimneys. Job was difficult, especially tile breaking. Very impressed with Lindemann.

Description of Work: They completed two tasks. Rebuilt the top 10 layers of the chimney and installed a new cap. Installed a new flu liner in the hot water heater / furnace flu.

Description of Work: We selected Lindemann for a routine cleanout of the fireplace chimney flue. Their technician came at the appointed time and inspected and cleaned the chimney. The work was done in a very professional and clean way - lots of floor protection and thorough cleanup of the workspace. We inspected the interior of the chimney using a wireless camera (interesting - an iPhone on a stick with an iPad for the display) and found several places where the chimney lining had deteriorated and cracked and there were bricks showing through the interior ringing. We decided that it would be appropriate to seal the smoke box section of the fireplace ("parging" in masonary terms), and they were able to do this the following week. At that time we also had Lindemann replace the cast iron damper with a more modern spring-loaded chimney cap. Again the work was done in a very clean and efficient way. | |We did get an Angies List discount on the initial cleanup and inspection. | |One other thing - Lindemann recommends that you clean the fireplace chimney every 36 fires or so, and they will give you FREE FIREWOOD, up to 36 bundles of it per season. You do have to drive to their Lake Bluff location to pick it up. About a dozen bundles will fit comfortably in the back of our Prius. We didn't use the free firewood this season, having already purchased a truckload from another Angies List vendor, but next winter...

Description of Work: This company bought out the company I used to use. They are a little more expensive than we used to pay, but seemed to do the job well. Trusted them when they pointed out a problem with the cap on the chimney. They were able to immediately do the work, but of course it wasn't cheap. Nice guys. Will call them again as I think that they did do quality work
