Description of Work: I had leakage in my chimney shaft causing the bricks to crumble inside the attic. They replaced the liner with a stainless steel liner, and put a purge coat on the chimney shaft which reduced the cost of the work significantly. They made sure the flashing was sealed, did some masonry repair on the chimney exterior and covered the opening to prevent animals from getting in. They were respectful, timely, put in a long-day and did an exceptional job both doing the work and cleaning up after. In fact, I did have a small issue with a basement floor, and the young man will be back tomorrow to scrub it. could not be more pleased

Description of Work: Did a good job, but seemed pricey for amount of work he had to do to clean out a steel sleeve chimney (no bricks). Also, their radio ad is a bit misleading in that the free firewood they offer requires you to pick it up yourself from their Lake Bluff office. Not practical for me in Elgin.

Description of Work: We needed a remote start installed on my parents fireplace since my dad can no longer get on the floor to light the pilot. Mike came out to give us an estimate, which was free, along with a free inspection. He pointed out some safety issues we needed to fix and gave us the estimate for both the safety concerns and the remote. He was nothing but professional and explained everything in detail. I can't say enough on how happy I am with the service we received from Lindemann. I would certainly recommend them!

Description of Work: prepaid cleaning and Inspection of chimney. arrived on time, though it took a month from the call date (also was nov-dec, prime fireplace-use time). showed us on camera holes in chimney liner. quoted $6800 for new stainless steel liner...quite unexpected so we elected not to do the work at the time. no point in cleaning the chimney. they did not charge us anything. appreciate the professionalism.
