Lindemann Chimney Service Inc

Everything went well. I was impressed with the fact that the gentleman, Grant, was honest, and said we didn't need a cleaning. At first it was a little confusing. I didn't know the procedure about ordering the service through Angie's List, and getting the refund in the same manner. I don't think that information was set forth very clearly from the beginning. Perhaps it was because I was familiar with this service, and thought I could order service on the phone. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. Marcia Doniger

They contacted me via email to ask if i needed an appointment, or if the could just work me into their schedule to estimate services. I said that they were welcome to drop by five days of the week, but there are two when I'm not available. Two weeks later, I got a voice mail on one of the days I had said I wasn't available. The technician said that that he had come without warning and decided to inspect the property anyway. Before I could call back to discuss specifics I get an E-mail quote that does not reflect the entire scope of work that I was looking for, and that is three times as expensive as it should be. I did the work myself in four hours, so apparently they think their masons should get paid ten times the going rate for a union mason.

It went very well. Worker was meticulous at his work. The work looked good when he was done. He cleaned up after himself . Very happy with work .

Technician was on time and very professional. Chimney cleaning removed the campfire smell inside the house. Inspection was thorough, but the pictures provided were completely useless. Recommended some services but we chose not to followup with Lindemann due to costs. He did not follow up with quotes as he promised. We used Lindemann because of a neighbor's recommendation but found other quotes that were much lower afterwards.

Lindeman did not perform any work at our home. This review is limited in scope to price only.

This was a long job and took them a few hours. Two employes came out. They were very professional. They went to great lengths to make it as clean as a job as possible. They had to put a big tub into my fireplace, seal it off and break the tiles. They protected my living room very well. They had also had a vacuum going the whole time and it caught the debris and dust. Also between the liner and bricks, they added insulation. I found this company through Angie's List and my neighbor used them too and recommended them to me.

Everything about my experience with them was excellent. They are very professional. I have not ordered the relining work as of yet because I'm trying to decide if the cost is acceptable given the amount of use the fireplaces would have.

They came out for an estimate and determined I did not need the work purchased. Still determining if I will utilize their company's services.

Mostly very good once they got here. No more leaking at this time. They were late by several hours...were doing another job....did not communicate with me that they would be late. It happened to be just across the street. Perhaps they thought that I was so close they could squeeze another job in first that was right next to me. However, they needed to communicate they would be late.

Shawn Owens, representing the Lindemann Chimney co. came out to assess the situation and what was needed to solve the problem of a deteriorating chimney. He was excellent. After having several others come out for an estimate, I could tell right away that his proposal was the best one. He was very knowledgeable and experienced in his field, which gave me lot of confidence. From this point to completion everything went exactly as he said it would.The workers were there as arranged through the office and completed the work just as they agreed and on time. The workers were very careful to keep the area clean and removed all of the debris.They did not ask for a huge amount to be paid ahead as was the case with several others. Donna and the office staff were very easy to work with as well. Also, they were very responsive to my telephone calls and returned my calls in very short order.

Last year we decided to give Lindemann a call to do the annual cleaning of our chimney. We had used other services in the past and were generally please with them but, we didn't realize what we were missing in our annual service. Lindemann came out and cleaned our chimney and then proceeded to run their camera up the length of the flue(something our prior cleaners had never done). The spotted a couple locations where the grout between the chimney tiles was completely missing and you could see right through to the outer brick. This was a major fire hazard and who knows how long it had been that way. They were able to provide me an estimate for the relining of the flue and we scheduled them to come back and preform the work as well as some repairs on the chimney crown. They were great to work with and rather than someone telling you that there was a problem, they showed me on camera, the issues with the flue. We will be using them every year for our annual cleaning.

We have used Lindemann (almost) annually since we moved into this home, more than 10 years ago, and will continue to do so. They are always punctual, clean, and reliable. We have no doubts about their competence. The last visit in Nov. 2013 cost $259: The $289 charge minus an Angie's List $50 coupon. They price seems a little expensive; there have been significant price increases over the years. Sometimes, they recommend additional work that we do not feel is entirely necessary. However, some years ago, they did point out the need for chimney cap masonry repair, which we had them do; we were and still are happy with the quality of that work and the price they charged for that additional service. Bottom line: We are happy to pay a little higher price to a company in which we have complete confidence based on more than a decade of continued use.

The service person was pleasant, arrived on time, and did a reasonably good job with the cleaning. Unfortunately, they told us afterward that the fireplace wasn't usable due to structural issues, and I feel as though they should have explained this to us before doing the cleaning. In their defense, however, they did state that it was necessary to clean the chimney before they could diagnose any structural problems, yet some issues I feel could have been seen without any cleaning.

The seemed honest, came out for free and gave a reasonable estimate

The cleaner showed up on time, was courteous, really got in there and cleaned (The guy came out totally covered in soot), and gave me pictures of the chimney showing its condition.

The broke out and removed all the old cracked clay liner and replaced that with a new slip in sleve liner. They were punctual and professional. Grant and his helper were efficient and arrived on time, cleaned up so that you didn't know they were there to do anything. Questions about the bill were resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. I would use and recommend them to anyone.

I was very satisfied with the work. Steve came out on Dec 19th to see what was needed and told me what was causing water to be leaking into the basement. He gave me an estimate of the work required to fix the problem and scheduled the work to be done on the 23rd. On the 23rd he showed up on time and finished the work within a few hours.Later that day he called back to check that everything was working OK.

We have had Lindemann's do our gutter cleaning for the past ten years or so, and have used them for various chimney services, as well. They are very professional and we have never been disappointed with their work.
