Description of Work: Initially, they were extremely responsive to my husband and his inquiries. Over the phone they provided an estimate, however when it was time to provide an estimate based on a visual inspection, he would not return my husband's calls nor texts. Performed the inspection without our being present, but assured us they could fix the problem for less than a certain amount. When it came time to fix, they replaced a board that had nothing to do with the initial issue, while i do understand it needed to be replaced it was not the issue they quoted us for. They charged us, then came back and said we had to pay extra for the carpet restretching as that was not a part of the quote, and we still have the issue in our room, and they told my husband it would be over double now to fix what was only supposed to be $1k. They seemed really nice over the phone and even in person, but our floor is nit fixed based on the estimate provided, and again to have it fixed it will be double perhaps more to fix.

Description of Work: Used their service to have numerous interior doors planed on the bottoms after we installed new,higher-napped carpet. The gentleman (a non-owner employee)arrived promptly, reviewed what needed to be done, set up his equipment and got to work quickly. He did a great job on each door, and cleaned up after himself very well. After finishing that task he spent the time left on the package I bought to answer some other questions about projects I was considering, including some do-it-yourself options. I've remained happy with the work and would use them again. My only complaint at all was about the professionalism of the person who called claiming to be the owner's wife and insisting that I schedule the service by the end of the month, or the package I purchased would expire and be invalid -- when in fact the package terms clearly stated the it was valid for another 90 days.

Description of Work: I purchased two Big Deal coupons for handyman work back in August of 2011. I had miscellaneous things I wanted to get taken care of. In November I was diagnosed with a major medical issue and was undergoing treatments until June. I let the expiration lapse on the coupons and figured it was my own fault for not following through. Michael's office called me on several occasions to remind me to set up an appointment. Long story shortened is that I finally caught up with him this past fall and he graciously said they would still come out to do the work. By no means did I expect him to still honor this coupon after so much time has passed; but he did. The crew came out on time and installed a new ceiling fan in my kitchen. I was hoping to have a new faucet installed in my bathroom but as it turned out, I have a very old sink and there were some issues. This is to be expected with an older home like mine. The crew wasn't able to install the faucet but the new ceiling fan looks great. I think Michael is very honorable and the crew was very respectful. I am happy to give them a good review and would hire them in the future.

Description of Work: Sliding door, repaired folding doors, cut down wood container in garage, helped with replacing fireplace gas lighter tube. Was very professional and efficient. Would absolutely use him again.

Description of Work: He arrived nearly one hour late. I would have appreciated a call. When he arrived, he was very professional and got to work right away. The work was done professionally and with a great deal of care. I've hired many handymen and most just fix the problem. John Michael is also a thinker. He solved problems and made adjustments quickly and efficiently. I would definitely hire him again.

Description of Work: This company is true to their word and deal. I asked him to put up drywall in my basement and he was VERY informative on what he could and could not do in the 3 hours angies deal time I purchased. So we made a list of what I wanted done and I was satisfied with the list. There were NO additional charges. He was very personable and helpful. He even did a quick quote on refinishing the downstairs basement that I received formally a week later in the mail. I was extremely pleased.

Description of Work: Country Construction put sliding drawers in my pantry. The work was done in a professional manner. However, at the time I hired them, they were going through some type of crisis. It took some time for them to get back to me and actually come and do the work. As far as their professionalism, the gentleman seemed very professional and courteous. Once he started the job, he was punctual. As far as the returning of phone calls, I did have a little problem at first. I guess this was due to the fact he was going through some personal issues, but the important thing is that he completed the job. He was very neat in his work, and I am satisfied with the scope of the project.
