Amazing service and quality. The fence was installed in one day!!! Looks awesome!

While we were left with a beautiful cedar fence and cedar deck, it took a lot longer than I expected. The fence took 4 days to put up. The first day they sent 2 guys (who worked at least 10 hours that day), the next 2 days was just one guy (who worked full 8 hour days... I never saw him take a break). Then the last day was 2 guys. I think based on the size of back yard we have, they really should have sent at least 2 or more guys each day. It is very backbreaking and manual work (no nail gun even, hammer and nail!!) Our yard was just way too large for the small crew they sent. One of our neighbors (who has the same size yard) got a Vinyl fence installed in just one day. They used a different company that sent a crew of 5 guys who worked all day long. The deck was a little more confusing.... I called Cedar Rustic to tell them I had the permit and they stated someone would call me back to schedule the installation. No one ever called. Just one day, a crew showed up and said they were going to start digging the post holes in the back yard. The deck took the crew a little over 2 weeks to complete (a small 14x16 deck). They kept blaming the rain and falling behind on other jobs. It called the company a few times and left voicemails during both the fence installation and deck installation asking how long things were gonna take, and I never received a response. So all in all, beautiful product, but need bigger crews, better communication, and better customer service.

The installation was excellent but in less than 1 year the gate is falling apart due to wind and the post securing the gate is not tight and is loose. I have attempted to call the sales and service department numerous times and cannot get a live person. The message says they will call back at their earliest convenience which has been weeks. They have left 2 messages and have delayed the repair over 2 months and now do not want to confirm if we will be home and come when no one is here. I would like a call back and talk to someone and have it scheduled sooner than one month out when I can be available. I have been given 2 dates and the first was not satisfactory and they scheduled the second with no input from me and will not return my call.

Called seven days over the past week and the company never had the courtesy to return a call.

Jim F. came out to do the estimate and was very friendly, professional and informative. He brought different wood samples and made sure that I was well informed. I had gotten two other estimates from other reputable fencing companies and Cedar Rustic was slightly less than one, and much less than another (who I did not care for at all anyway). The process of reviewing the estimate and plans, retrieving the permit, and providing payment was straightforward and painless. The crew came right on time the day of installation, if not a bit early. They worked their butts off all day long, on my neighbors fence and mine. They spent 12 hours on site, until the work was complete and they really took their time to make sure everything was plumb and installed correctly. They only took a brief break for lunch. They did a good job cleaning up the debris and hauling away of the old materials. The only issue I have is that the gates do not have any hardware, so they aren't easy to open. I figured they would come with handles. I will spend the money at the hardware store and install them myself, which isn't a huge deal - but not something I had planned on doing. I am very happy with the quality and workmanship of the fence, and have been getting many compliments from the neighbors.

I have called Cedar Rustic because a few years ago they have built me a vinyl fence that I was really happy with. I tried to call the old salesperson just to know that he had recently retired. They sent me a new one that offered us a good deal on a privacy Vinyl fence to replace our old rotten cedar one. He explained how the fence was much better than the competitor's with an aluminum frame that would make it more sturdy. We scheduled the installation for Nov. 30, 2015. They showed up promptly. I was not there for the installation, however both my wife and daughter were there. They noticed that there were large gaps underneath the fence and that the fence was not completely straight and it was wobbly. They did not have the caps for the fence posts with them either. We waited for two to three weeks to get the caps. During this time I complained about the wobbliness of the fence and the gaps underneath. They sent an inspector that said that it was normal for the fence to be wobbly and that the gaps were due to the irregularity of the terrain. However, I was told during the sales portion of the deal that the fence will try to follow the terrain as closely as possible. This is an issue as the fence is shared with our neighbor that has a small dog that can easily go underneath the gaps. As a result he propped all kinds of debris on his side of the fence that made for a very unpleasant look for what otherwise would be a beautiful look. When the inspector came he proposed to screw some extra panels at the bottom rail which is just as unpleasant looking as the debris. The inspector also tried to explain that the fence was supposed to be wobbly. I pointed out that the corner posts did not have the same play than the rest of the fence. He said it was because they were corner posts. I asked him that I wanted the same sturdiness for the rest of the fence. He tried to explain that it was like that to stand the strong winds in the region. I then contacted the main office and asked them to put that explanation in writing. After waiting for more than a month to get the written explanation I decided to write this review. I few like "Greg" the person that was supposed to give me the explanation was completely unresponsive to my multiple requests. Because of the previous work I did not consider requesting other quotes for this job. However, after this job I am definitely not going back to Cedar Rustic for future projects.

We had a new fence installed. They were very responsive and competitively priced. The work was much better than the fence that we had installed by another provider in another part of our yard. Would use again.

The first time the fence was installed incredibly crooked (followed the road and not the house, fine for the city and small yards but not appropriate for large country yards). Concrete was not poured anywhere near the frostline depth (holes on average were dug less than 14") and way too much aggregate (rocks) was used so after a year the concrete started to crumble leaving lots of pebbles for the weedeater to throw at windows. Customer service manager never returns phone calls and even the guy who showed up to "repair" the lifting fence posts said he doesn't understand how Cedar Rustic can stay in business with all the bad installations they do. We have never been so dissatisfied with a company, regardless of how much money we paid. When you factor in how much we paid for what we received Cedar Rustic is by far the worst customer service we've ever received (seconded closely by Seahorse Water Systems)

From start to finish, it well very well. The sales rep was very responsive, informative and thorough and answered all my questions without a single "I'll have to get back to you on that". The install was great - I would love to say "except they hit an AT&T cable", which they did, but, in my opinion was not their fault. The fence went in August 31. Morning of Sept 1 AT&T knocked on my door saying one of the fence post holes hit one of their cables. I will say this... I'm not CR's first customer , I'm sure they 've done a few fence installs before me and know how to dig fence post holes in compliance with JULIE's markings :). They did call JULIE, who came out and marked the lines, including AT&T lines. The new fence was on the EXACT place where the old fence was (fence posts were not in the same location as the old due to different panel lengths ) . My neighbor said he didn't believe they dug on a marked line (again, what fence what contractor would dig on bright orange line on the ground?). And the post holes passed city inspection. All that tells me JULIE didn't accuratey mark the AT&T cable. Based on the lines they marked when AT&T came to repair the line, this appears to be a pretty accurate assumption. Regardless - AT&T had to remove one fence post and two panels and dig an approximate 4' x 5' hole (not sure how deep, 3-4' I would suspect) to repair their line. AT&T didn't give any indication of their intention of returning to fill in the hole, etc. ( they actually never said anything to me, just repaired their line and left). I gave AT&T over a week (Googling this situation yielded a 2 week response from AT&T - who wants to wait?) and they never contacted me. CR came out and reset the fence post, put the panels back up and filled in the hole. No gripes at all about any of this - excellent, no hassle work through and through.

They installed a fence for me in April. Not to my surprise came in $2000 less than all of my other quotes. Fence was installed on time and completed before the end of the day. Two months later, I woke to having partial electricity in my home. Made the necessary calls and found that one of the posts was sitting on my wiring- telephone, cable, electricity. The concrete had sealed around the wiring. The only way to repair it was to splice the wire and send it directly to the box. I took a picture of it and sent it to Cedar Rustic asking them to have the post and panel moved to ensure that my other services would not be interrupted. I was told that they would rather wait until my services are nonfunctional before doing the work since they already paid for the error with the electricity. I have tried contacting them several times to no avail and now have filed a case with BBB. Unbelievable service even with the lifetime warranty! I would never recommend them to anyone!

We were extremely happy with the prompt and clear estimate provided to us, the professional and quick crew that assembled the fence, and overall quality and design of our fence. We would recommend this service to friends/family and we have already recommended Cedar Rustic to our neighbors!

They were prompt and they did it in one day.

1) Called for an estimate - They scheduled me for that same week on Saturday when I would be home with Kim the estimator. 2) Kim showed up right on time and was courteous and answered all of my questions. We went out into the yard and measured. We came back in and reviewed exactly what I wanted on the quote she compiled with an estimate of approx. 2 to 3 weeks to get the fence installed. I signed on the spot as I had already had two other quotes. Cedar Rustic was not the cheapest but close and had the best reviews here and by other folks I spoke to about their fence experiences with Cedar Rustic and the other fence companies. 3) Kim said they would call on Monday to book the installation date. I did get the call on Monday and installation was scheduled exactly 2 1/2 weeks after we signed the contract and gave them a third of the total cost as a down payment. 4) CR takes care of contacting Julie to mark the underground utilities - your job is to get the building permit and check with your homeowner's association to make sure the fence meets any covenant agreements. 5) CR called the day before to advise me that they were coming at approx. 9 am. 6) The two installers showed up right on time and also were very courteous. They reviewed the job requirements with me and discussed the swing and placement of the three gates. They finished in one day and called me out to inspect the fence and to show me the operation of the locking gate latches. And they cleaned up after themselves. I did not have to clean up after they cleaned up. I gave them the final payment and they had me sign a checklist. 7) Wow - the fence is great and the installation quality is excellent. CR did what they said they were going to do, on time and did it professionally with a beautiful outcome. A very rare occurrence. I have no reservations about recommending CR for any fence needs and will call them again next time. .

It worked out great. Their punctuality and professionalism was very good. We were really happy with them. They were there for a long time but got the job done on time.

A crew arrived on Saturday morning and re-set the posts that had "heaved" on one entire side of the property. They are now all level. Several other posts along the fence line were also adjusted in order to level them off. The workers fixed a sagging gate and replaced several boards that had been damaged as a result. A second latch/post was added to keep the gate from swaying excessively, which was the cause of the initial problem. The work was all completed by the early afternoon (8:30-1:00.) and it would appear things were done correctly. The crew was also respectful of my property and was careful not to damage any grass or landscaping. The work-site was very clean when they were done. Overall I am very satisfied and feel the company treated my concerns seriously. In particular, Mike was very professional and responsive. It remains to be seen whether or not the posts that were fixed remain in place, but I assume they will. In any event, this interaction with Cedar Rustic was a very positive one.

The service was great. The fence went up really fast. They followed my husbands exact instructions. They did everything the way we wanted it done. The workers are really nice. They are very professional. They finished the fence when they said it would be done. When we needed minor repairs to the fence they were prompt and it was very inexpensive.

The service was great. They arrived on time. Three people came to do the work and it took 2 days. They were friendly and left the area clean.

They were wonderful and very helpful in working around the ordinance of my village. They helped me avoid getting a variance which saved me over $700. Their quality of work was perfect as well. They were very nice to do business with and they very results oriented. They wanted to make sure I was happy. They were also willing to work with me on payment options. I would definitely recommend them to others.

All the materials for the fence and deck were cedar. They sent 2 guys out to do the job. They got the job done in about 2 and a half days. The cleanup was absolutely fine. The contact with them was good and they always told you what they were working on.

30 yr old fence was partially blown down by that HUGE storm we had in July. We had 3 places come out to bid on the job. Cedar gave us the middle bid, but seemed like they knew the most about their product/work. They also offered us a 1-year financing option (same as cash). they came out right on time, removed the bad fence, and installed the new all in one day. Looks and smells great (cedar). It was overall a great experience considering.

They put up a beautiful fence, but unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding and the features varied from my expectations. However, as soon as the owner was aware of it, he went to work coming up with creative solutions to make me happy with the fence and even reimbursed me for work I had contracted independently. He proved to be a most reasonable and fair minded person to deal with.

My project is about 80% complete as of the writing of this review, but given my experience to this point I thought it would be appropriate to share it in the hopes that Cedar Rustic can greatly improve both my customer experience, as well as provide better service to future customers. To date, it has not been a pretty picture. The quotation process went reasonably well. The fence measurements were in line with the other four companies that provided bids, the salesperson was pleasant (although running a little late), and a bid with options was prepared onsite at my home during the visit. I asked for several options, including decorative finials, residential versus commercial grade fence thickness, a custom gate for my arbor, and a few different fence heights. These options were prepared very clearly in the quotation. My wife and I made the decision to purchase the commercial grade fence with the finials as a decorative feature. Given the size of the job, I asked if there was some flexibility on the price, and Cedar Rustic's owner did provide a discount. The contract was written up a few days (on May 22nd) later with all of the specifications already mentioned. I have an in-ground pool, so a specialized latch (called a Protector) on the gates was also required. I was told a scheduler would call me, but did not receive a call after several weeks of waiting. I called Cedar Rustic to get the schedule in late June and was informed that July 11th was my schedule date. I had to secure a new plat of survey and found out the hard way that they take several weeks to prepare. I paid an extra $75 for a priority job, and received the plat on July 9th. On July 10th I received a mid-day call from Cedar Rustic informing me that my fence had not yet arrived, and they were not sure when it would arrive, so we would have to reschedule. I was surprised that I got the call that late given that I had called a week prior about where I could get a plat quickly so they could start the job on time. They said they would call about the re-schedule, but I didn?t hear back, so I called about 10 days later. The owner returned the call on July 23rd and said that the aluminum manufacturer was on a 16 week backlog owing to tariffs being placed on imported Chinese aluminum. That said, the next day the scheduler called and we scheduled the job for July 30th. I?ll simply list everything that?s occurred since then: 1. The wrong fence was delivered. The fence pickets needed to be ordered to support finials, but do not, so according to the owner this will require that the tops of each picket to be sawed down and the finials jury rigged to fit the cut off tops of each picket. 2. No finials were ordered ($2,000 cost), but clearly indicated in the contract. Not sure when they will be available 3. The wrong gate latches were delivered and installed. City code requires special pool safety latches to be installed, which was clearly indicated in my contract as ?Protector? latches. 4. Two cedar posts for my pool equipment fence surround were mentioned in the contract as requiring replacement, but weren?t ordered 5. Our phone and internet cables were cut on 7/31 despite being clearly marked by the city. I had to call and take care of it with my service provider 6. Two of the fence posts were not completely finished by the manufacturer, so the fence is two panels short of complete. The posts need additional holes cut to support the fence panels. This leaves my yard open, so that we have to leash our (large) dog to take her out?she likes to roam when given the chance 7. The crew left black fence posts out on the lawn during mid-day sun, which burned and killed a 3 foot by 8 foot section of the lawn. They could have moved the posts onto a mulch bed in the shade 10 feet away to avoid the damage 8. Portions of the landscaping had shrubs and perennials stomped / crushed. I understand that things can be tight when installing but one section was particularly bad, as if no attempt was made to avoid trampling the shrubs 9. Several of the posts that are in obvious sight lines are visibly tilted, which I confirmed with a level. I?d really prefer not to look at that for the next 15 years 10. The crew lead indicated they would be back to finish the job on 8/1, but did not show up, with no call to say they weren?t coming 11. The crew did not show up on 8/4, with no call. We called Cedar Rustic at noon on 8/4 to express our concerns and did not receive a return call 12. The crew did not re-attach a downspout after removing it to put in a post, so part of a mulch bed washed into lawn after a heavy rain 13. Sharp aluminum shavings clearly visible to the eye were left in the lawn, which I had to walk around and pick up. This was after I specifically asked the owner to make sure the crew cleaned up as much as they could I would understand if one or two of the items above occurred, as I work in a small business and know that ?things happen?. Taken collectively, though, I?m appalled at what seems to be a poorly trained crew, a basic lack of customer service / notification and the apparent inability to correctly order what was clearly spelled out in the contract. Basic Business 101 items, really. In fairness to the company, I?m willing to write a follow up if these items are addressed to our satisfaction, but at this point I regret our decision. I?m hopeful that Cedar Rustic will take steps to make this right.

They were very efficient and they did a nice job. We were pleased with the pricing. There was about 5 or 6 people here doing the work and it took the day to complete.

When I called for the estimate I was given an appointment within 2 days. The estimator arrived promptly with tape in hand. He measured the property, asked the right questions and gave me a comprehensive written estimate within a few minutes. When I agreed to hire Cedar Rustic, he called the office for an installation date. When he left I had a clear understanding of how to get a building permit, and what to expect on the day of installation. Note: none of the other companies that gave me estimates said anything about a building permit. I had to call the office twice before installation and each time I called the office staff was friendly and helpful. On the date of installation I was told the crew would arrived promptly at 9am. They worked quickly and efficiently. They didn't make a lot of noise -- no loud music, no yelling. They were careful of my garden. They only damaged one sunflower and they made an effort to prop it back up. Excellent work people!! My new fence looks great.
