I purchased chairs and a sofa. From beginning to end, the experience was smooth and expertly handled. The delivery men were extremely professional. All of my furniture was expertly wrapped to prevent damage. They called with a time of arrival and were punctual, put shoe covers on before entering my home and cleaned up and removed all wrapping. They inspected the furniture for damage and moved it around until I liked the positioning - all with courtesy and a cheerful attitude. They even attached felt pads to the chair feet to prevent damaging my wood floors. I could not have asked for more. In fact, my experience was so good that I bought more furniture the following month from Macy's and had a repeat of the same expert delivery service. My salesperson was just as good. I recommend the Oak Brook Macy's Furniture store to friends.

THE FACTS ARE: SALES PERSON WAS NOT RESPONSIVE TO FOLLOW UP ON ORDER WHEN THE JULY 2005 DELIVERY DATE WAS MISSED. REFERRED US TO THE MANAGER. GUEST SERVICES HAD TEMPORARY PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONE. COULDN'T ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ORDER IN INVENTORY. SEPTEMBER ARRIVES AND WE RECEIVE A CALL FOR DELIVERY. SOFA IN GOOD CONDITION, 1 CHAIR WAS THE WRONG COLOR AND 1 CHAIR IS CARRIED INTO MY HOME WITH THE ARM FALLING OFF AND BOLTS JINGLING INSIDE THE CHAIR. THE TWO CHAIRS ARE THEN REORDERED BY GUEST SERVICES, WITH NO ESTIMATED DATE OF DELIVERY SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO THE OAKBROOK STORE. I FINALLY SPEAK WITH A MANAGER WHO WAS HELPFUL AND TRACKED DOWN THE ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE OF OCTOBER 31. I CONTACT GUEST SERVICES ON NOVEMBER 1, 2005 AFTER OCTOBER 31, 2005 DATE IS MISSED, ONLY TO FIND OUT MY TWO RE-ORDERED CHAIRS ARE IN AND READY TO SET UP DELIVERY. NOVEMBER 9 TWO CHAIRS ARE DELIVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. TOOK FIVE MONTHS AND A LOT OF PHONE CALLS TO OBTAIN MY FURNITURE ORDER.

WHY WOULD NO ONE TELEPHONE TO SAY THEY COULD NOT GET MY FABRIC I ORDERED IN A TIMELY FASHION? WHY WAS I GIVEN NUMEROUS DELIVERY DATES THINKING THAT I WOULD HAVE FURNITURE FOR A SPECIAL PARTY AND HOLIDAY FUNCTION?

WE WERE REALLY PLEASED WITH THE HOME STORE'S SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH. AFTER COMPARING SEVERAL STORES, WE FOUND THE BEST FURNITURE FOR THE PRICE AND SERVICE HERE. LEM GAVE US A FEW OPTIONS AFTER LISTENING TO WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR. THE PURCHASE WAS MADE VERY EASILY, AND HE EVEN SUGGESTED/GAVE US A PREVIOUS SALE PRICE THAT HAD EXPIRED 3 WEEKS BEFORE(!), THAT WE WERE UNAWARE OF. FURNITURE DELIVERY DATE WAS SET FOR THREE WEEKS LATER. TEAM ARRIVED ON TIME, POLITE, NO SCRATCHES, NO PROBLEMS. WOULD RECOMMEND THEM IN THE FUTURE. VERY PLEASED.
