Floor Decor Carpet One

This is an update to my initial review I posted in August 2018. Despite the initial bumps in the road, I can honestly say that the craftsmanship of Dan's guys is truly top notch. Martin and his brother handled the demo of our existing parquet floor and laid our new pre-finished hardwood floorboards and the finished product looks great. They also handled the installation of the new baseboards as well. There were a few boards that were damaged during install and not noticed until the work was completed but Martin expertly removed the boards in question and replaced them with new ones and you can't even tell the difference between the original install and the replaced pieces. Honestly, I still have concerns about their sometimes slow communications and returned phone calls but ultimately, the craftsmanship is what's most important to me and I would certainly recommend Dan and his crew to friends looking for new carpeting or flooring.

When shopping Erin explained the different options that were available and made some money saving suggestions. Purchased a high quality product at a very reasonable cost. (Price included installation and disposal.) The installers were GREAT!! The crew arrived on time. Took out the old carpet and padding. Installed the new carpet and padding. They also removed and discarded the old material. Cleaned up when finished. THE CREW DID A FANTASTIC JOB. I was very pleased with the results.

What a great experience!! I never thought that buying carpet could be so pleasant. Perfect experience from start to finish. Something to be said about the warmth, genuineness, & personal pride in their work of a family owned business. We looked at other big store shops (Home Depot, Luna) before discovering this gem. From the moment you walk into the store and are greeted by either Dan (the owner), Erin (his daughter), or Amanda (the manager), you feel welcome. Totally different vibe than the big retail carpet stores - at Carpet One Floor Decor they are laid back & not pushy. They aren't in your face & are simply there to help if you have any questions versus the uncomfortableness & pushiness you feel at other stores. They are incredibly knowledgeable & were able to answer any questions I had. I really felt that they cared & enjoyed the no pressure sale environment. They also didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all abt, like the other stores did, with my lower price point, as we were on a budget. Super friendly, genuine, & accommodating. Their estimator, Al, was also super friendly & helpful when he came to our house to do the measuring for the estimate, offering any suggestions he could while we were trying to decide on which pad & carpet we wanted to go with. Everyone in this family owned business was just so incredibly nice & genuine. After selecting our carpet & pad, the final price was very reasonable and fair, and right in line with the other quotes we received. In going with Carpet One Floor Decor, we felt that we did end up getting a much superior carpet & padding for a very comparable price. They were true professionals throughout the entire process. The installation went incredibly smoothly. They showed up on time, were incredibly respectful, cleaned up after themselves afterwards, & the finished product looked amazing. A great installation is just as important as the carpet, padding, & price. It was nice to feel 100% secure that the installation was going to go smoothly from doing my research & reading all the reviews online about Carpet One Floor Decor. None of the issues that I read abt online with some of the other companies. Amazing process from start to finish. Thank you to the Carpet One Floor Decor family (Erin, Amanda, Dan, & Al) for an amazing experience. The carpet looks great! Will definitely use again. Highly Recommend!

very well. Smooth process

Salesman Dan came right out to measure and seemed very concerned that the job was done to my specifications. I made my down payment and the supplies were ordered. I don't know if my job was too small to care about but once the installation date was set the salesman Dan became impossible to get a hold of. I just had a couple questions. I left two voice mails and two emails over a period of a week and no response came. Once the supplies were delivered I mentioned to the delivery man that I was concerned about a couple items I wanted to discuss but was not receiving a call back- funny once he went back to the store he must have said something because then I got a call back, The installer did a great job and I guess in the end that is what matters most. When I went to the store to make my final payment I mentioned to the young woman there that something that was supposed to be done wasn't - she was very nice and said she would leave a message for Dan to call me - she wrote the message while I was standing there. No surprise - Dan did not get back to me. My job was small so maybe not that important but I will think twice before giving them a bigger job.

If you want GREAT Customer Service, BEAUTIFUL HIGH QUALITY Flooring with AFFORDABLE PRICING,  look no further, this is the place to go! Dan(Owner), and Amanda(Manager), along with their team of EXPERT workers, went ABOVE & BEYOND of my expectations. I went into the store location searching for Vinyl and Carpeting for my home. Amanda greeted my daughter and I with a warm, welcoming smile, as she helped us choose the perfect Vinyl Flooring and Carpet. She was very friendly, patient, kind, and had knowledge of every product in the store. Her knowledge of the products really impressed me.  Afterwards, I made an appointment to have the areas of my home measured. 
Dan came to my home and measured the areas within 7 days of my visiting the store location. I wanted Vinyl for my front entrance and steps leading to the upper level(Dining & Living Rooms) and the lower level(Family Room). The Dining Room, Living Room, and Hallway were to be carpeted. He was very PROFESSIONAL, friendly and patiently as he measured each area carefully. He addressed all concerns I had as he answered with a smile for each questioned asked. 
Within 3 weeks, my Vinyl Flooring and Carpet was completed and I'm COMPLETELY SATISFIED with the end results! I HIGHLY recommend Dan and his staff of experts to everyone. I am a customer for life and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. During the time of my purchase, there was a family loss. Dan and Amanda surprised me with flowers that were delivered. Tears flowed not only because it touched my heart, this showed me a different side of them which became personal. I've NEVER had anyone, on a business level, step outside of the box solely to express their sympathy to me, the customer. I've truly have been SPOILED as they make me want to spend more money:)! I would definitely hire them again. Thank You Dan & Amanda for everything as my home is acomfortable and beautiful!

Excellent service from picking out carpet, to measuring, quoting, ordering, and installing!

Dan the owner is fantastic. Responsive and stands by his contractors. We purchased hardwood floors from his 14 years ago. They needed to be refinished 2 years ago and we went right back to Dan. The work was completed quickly and at a good price. We feared we would need to replace the floors but Dan helped us determine they could be re-finished saving us a lot of money. When the work was completed,there were a few minor problems but Dan had the contractor return and make the small corrections. Very honest and stands by his work. We will continue to go here for all,our flooring needs.

I was really pressed for time and didn't really know what colors to pick and which colors would match with which colors. Vivien was very helpful in this regard.
The areas were correctly measured and the installs were problem free.
I also used Carpet One to install granite countertops in a house I am selling. Again, they were correctly measured and the finished product looks fantastic! NICE JOB CARPET ONE!

Floor Decor was one of the few who responded to my calls. Work was done better than expected given cut to carpet. They did a a great job. Price was exactly as estimated.

The gentleman assigned did an excellent job of refinishing 40 sq ft of white oak. I couldn't be happier!

Decided to look at Floor Decor after not liking options from a different carpet supplier that was recommended by our construction team. Very pleased with the staff and selection at Floor Decor! Amanda was attentive when I described what I was looking for and made good suggestions. Staff helped find quality carpet that was within our budget. Measuring and ordering was done quickly. The only down-side was waiting 3 weeks for the carpet to arrive. Installation went smoothly. We are extremely happy with our new carpet!

I am very happy with the installation. I called to ask about installation and received a callback within a couple of hours. Once we agreed on the job, the installation was scheduled for within the week. We did purchase upgraded padding to be laid under the carpet, and I was surprised that it was not much more money than the basic.
On the day of installation, we were scheduled for an afternoon job. The guys called me shortly before 9am to see if I was available earlier -- they'd had a cancellation and could come at 9:00! Not having to sit around waiting for them to arrive was an unexpected bonus!
The entire job -- removal of the old carpet and installation of new padding and carpet -- went very quickly. We had removed everything from the room prior to their arrival, and there were 3 or 4 guys working. I believe they were done in under two hours.
The carpet looks great, and we have no issues. Overall, I'm very happy.

My experience with them was good! The man who came out and measured the house was on time, and he was very efficient. Actually, the sales guy has recently called me back and said that there was actually a sale and the price had dropped, so I am waiting for him to get me a new bid actually.

I would hire them again in the future. In fact, this is the second time I've used Carpet One.

It went very well, from the first consultation to the final installation. Knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. Other than a mild delay in the delivery of the flooring by the distributor, everything went well, and the end result looks fantastic.

Installers were subcontracted to perform work. Arrived on time. Work order or instructions for job was not explained or convened to workers. Job required complete removal of vinyl floor underlayment and carpeting. Installers did not come prepared to remove underlayment thus causing a delay until following day. Hardwood installation required materials to be glued. Excess glue residue was not completely removed leaving the entire floor tacky. This issue needed to be rectified and required Floor Decor owner to be on job site. Dan Inman company owner extremely responsive to correct issue. Called flooring and adhesive manufacturer and was able to fix tacky residual glue. Very impressed with his customer service. Will hire again for carpeting.

We spent a lot with them. It was a big job. There were some problems with the installation. They were supposed to be able to staple it in but they had to end up gluing it in because it wasn't working out. The owner was very good in rectifying any problems. He actually came to our house to see what the problem was so he was very good in being involved in trying to fix it. Even though there was a problem we would still continue to do business with them because we felt that the owner cared. He was trying and they did rectify it and he ate the cost for having to glue it. He stood behind things and it was nice that he came to our home to see for himself and not just take the word of the installers. We have used them before to install carpet in our home about 7 years ago. We didn't have any problems with the carpet. He stood behind things. We did shop around and other places were higher so they were pretty reasonable. The floor was beautiful but the installers were a bit messy and got glue on the walls. It was halfway up the walls and they didn’t clean it up. I brought it up with the owner and he assured me that this crew would not be doing any gluing in the future. They had to wash the floor 4 times because they smeared glue all over the floor. The owner even washed the floor himself. The owner was very professional about handling the matter.

They have a very pleasant showroom. They are very professional and friendly. Pricing is competitive to maybe a little bit better. They came in and re-carpeted a room for us, they were on top of it! They were very quick and we have been pleased with it ever since. They have a nice selection in their showroom as well!
