Ottis was on time for the estimate, and the estimate itself was very thorough, and he estimated 1 day for all this work. On the day of the painting, I thought the painters would be coming at 8am, but due to scheduling delays they didn't get here to 1. They assured me that the job could still get done, and it did! When the crew showed up they did some additional drywall repair / patching, and got all the priming and painting done in 4 1/2 hours, and it looks great. I was very happy with the work and the price for the job. I would definitely hire them again.

Ottis, the owner, was very personable and repsonsive to our inquiries about the details of the job. In addition, Nancy, his office representative was a pleasure to deal with over the phone. The work was done very quickly and beautifully. They took down the shutters and some of the pieces of trim that were screwed in and were able to spray paint them. They look great. They were put back perfectly as well.Inside, the painters were able to patch a difficult to get to spot in our stairwell and make it paint ready. We are very picky about the work done in our home and appreciate the quality job these painters did. They were on time, efficient, smart, competent, friendly, and a pleasure to have at our home. The whole job was done competently, professionally, and quickly. All the work was done in one day. We look forward to using them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

The team worked quietly and efficiently.We host a lot of family parties for holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving and recently Easter) and our guests have noticed the improvements. We always mention the guidance Ottis Ballenger, the owner, gave us regarding paint selection and surface preparation.He knows his stuff!One of our guests at Easter marked the dining room wall, but I was able to clean it off without any effort. Ottis Ballenger came out after I asked for an estimate. I was impressed from the start with his knowledge and his tremendous attention to detail. Not only did he spend a full hour looking at everything carefully, he asked a lot of questions--both about the house and about our preferences and expectations. I frankly can't recall the last time someone has spent that much time and taken that much care when we were seeking only an estimate. We spoke with several other companies, all of whom came highly rated on Angie's List and Certa-Pro's quote wasn't the lowest. What sold us was the care, time, and effort that Ottis invested in listening and in talking with us. After we hired Certa-Pro, we had a continuing series of questions and Ottis not only always responded promptly, but continued to show an extraordinary amount of devotion to doing everything properly. He gave us advice, gave us the benefit of his substantial knowledge and experience, and always encouraged us to keep asking questions. For instance, I suggested at one point that we use another (noticeably more expensive) paint; he explained carefully why he suggested what he did and ended up talking us out of spending more money. He was never put off by yet another set of questions and always took his time in responding. In fact, because there were so many questions, he came out a second time before the work started and spent yet another hour going over all aspects of the work with us. In large part because of this remarkable attention, we decided to ask for additional quotes to add the kitchen and the foyer to the work. The quotes were very reasonable and we ended up painting those two rooms in addition. The work took two days and we were very happy with the crew, led by George. They spent two full hours doing prep work and did a beautiful job. The same can be said for their painting. They took their time and did a beautiful job. They were always very careful about not making a mess and about keeping the dust out of the rest of the house. Although I wasn't entirely pleased with the way that the clean-up went afterward, I would not hesitate in the least to hire them again. I spent at least 45 minutes discussing my thoughts on everything with Ottis, including my criticisms of the clean-up, and he was careful to listen and tohear what I was saying. As I said to him on the phone, we're talking about the difference between a 95 and a 100. I was hoping for a perfect job--aren't we all?--but it's hard to criticize or be too unhappy when the grade is "just" a 95. We need a portion of the exterior painted this spring and there's no doubt in our minds who we'll hire. We would recommend them with little hesitation--and the credit goes to Ottis and also his George and his crew. Well done!

Great experience. I contacted them via email and Toni was here the next morning measuring, giving me an estimate and helping me pick out colors. She returned for a color consult after the carpet was installed and had great suggestions for coordinating with my new carpet. Ivan and his crew of 5 completed the entire job in one day and overall, did a great job. He returned for minor touch-ups (some things were only visible in bright daylight and it was dark when they had finished) the following week. I will definitely use this company again and plan to have them paint the master bedroom and the rest of the first floor in the near future. The estimate was extremely reasonable and the quality and promptness of the work can't be beat.

Although we were concerned about the price as it was far beyond our initial budgeted amount, Tony Ardizzone was, by far, the most professional, knowledgeable and respectful of all of the painting companies we considered and received quotes from. Tony's crew (Ivan was the crew leader - definitely ask for him if possible!) arrived promptly each day, were professional, respectful of our space, communicative, cleaned up each day impeccably and were wonderful even with our dog and 3 year old son (our son still looks at the house and says Ivan painted our house). All work was communicated with Tony ahead of time, the invoice was itemized (paint, labor costs, extra labor such as sanding, caulking, lead paint practices, wood replacement) so that we all were on the same page when they began the work. Any additional work needed as they found it was clearly communicated in a timely fashion. The actual work done was done beautifully and we were very happy that we spent more for true professionals.

Tony Ardizzone came to the house to provide an estimate, as did two other companies. He walked around the entire house, spent time asking questions, and provided a thorough estimate. He was friendly and cared about my project. His crew did the job as contracted when it was promised, and did a good job. I would happily recommend this company.

They did a great job. The estimate was super. They came out when they said they would. They did everything in a timely basis. They guaranteed their work for a specific time. Before that time ran out they contacted us to see if anything needed to be touched up.

Two representatives from CertaPro, including the owner of the franchise, visited my home just hours after my initial call into the company. They assessed my needs and answered all of my questions thoroughly, and I received a quote later the same day. The job was scheduled to begin just a few days later and all work was completed within a week. He was by far the most thorough and detail oriented in his proposal. He spent the most amount of time going over his proposed recommendations. He took notes during our initial conversation to make sure all of my goals were met in his proposal. The proposal was sent out in a very timely manner and specified exactly what CertaPro would do if they won the job. Of the 5 proposals CertaPro was the only one that did not require any deposit while providing a 2 year warranty. His crew of 4 men was led by Ivan all of whom were very professional showing up on time and cleaning up every day. They very carefully completed all of their work ensuring it was done in a high quality manner. The work was finished in the timeframe they initially estimated. Overall they did an excellent job and Tony quickly followed up with any questions during the process.

Ii was very satisfied with Certapro. Of the 5-6 bids I got, they were the least expensive for the exterior of my house. The main painter (John) was there every day and he was very pleasant and a good communicator. I felt that they were careful and didn't rush the job. They were neat and covered all my bushes and the copper portions of my roof - all this while working through a 95-degree heat wave! There were 2 guys at my house every day and it was a big job, so it didn't go quickly, but sometimes I think there is more ownership of the job with a small crew, and they were there every day with the exception of a day when it rained.

I had several contractors bid on the work but what impressed me about CertaPro North shore was their attention to quality,two coats of paint and the environmental considerations involved in working on an older home. Toni bid the job and talked about the fact that his crew uses hepa filtered vacuums attached to all sanders and grinders. They mask the area surrounding the home in order to capture any scrapings and dust. They use a very tuff primer to deal with older damaged wood. The CertaPro bid was about in line with other contractors so we went with CertaPro. Chris and his crew arrived and went right to work attacking my "Old House" and they had their hands full. All work was done as Toni had described. Chris is a terrific carpenter as he expertly replaced and repaired several sections of trim and facia. Toni and Chris worked with us on color selection and the design of a new accent trim piece for the front of the house. This work bordered on true restoration and CertaPro was very much up to the task. It took about four days to complete the job with some days off in between due to all the rain we have had. Now that the work is complete my wife and I could not be more pleased. I would like to add that all the workers on our job were professional,respected the surrounding properties and cleaned up the work site better than they found it.
