I had purchased an Angie's list Big Deal for a concrete job. They excavated some dirt for the new concrete pour to add on to the existing patio, and re-made an existing old sidewalk on side of house. The concrete work looks great, they did a good job with that, I had a few issues, however... They credited the Angie's List Big Deal to my order, but I lost the promotional value since I did more than what the Big Deal specified. I thought they would take the value of the deal off what I owed, instead they took off what I paid for the deal, so I in effect did not get the discount offered in the big deal. Over all I don't feel I overpaid, but I don't feel I got the bargain that was offered in the Big Deal. So the future customers take note, if you purchase their Big Deals on Angie's List, do exactly what is offered, no more and nothing different or you wont get your deal value. Also, they left me with work to do I was not expecting, I felt the job was somewhat unfinished. They left a hole at the end of the patio where they had excavated that I felt should have been filled in by them, the dirt was there, but not moved. I had to cart it from the back yard where they piled it back to the hole to fill in the hole, which had filled up with water when it rained a few days after the job. There was also a short wall on the side of the patio, that was not put back in place correctly when they finished the job, I thought that was part of the job, not something I had to go back and spend a weekend finishing. They were nice and had I stayed more on top of the work I think these issues would have been addressed, I just didn't expect to

Lousy. After a while, concrete flaked, because it was not packed tight. Pitted in spots. Standing water, that doesn't drain. I called them. They said they would be out. Never showed. I called several times, afterwards. Went to voice mail with no return call. Will never, ever, recommend them to anyone. Even my worse enemy!

They corrected drainage issues on that side of our house and waterproofed the entry. This was all dug by hand. Dale Cochran kept every promise made and went beyond our expectations. Great and honest guy. Professional job and outstanding customer service. I would recommend Cochran Concrete to anyone and everyone who is looking for any concrete work.

It went very well. Mr. Cochran extended me a much-appreciated courtesy: I was out of town on an emergency on the date for the work. Since I had made a down-payment he went ahead and did the work and trusted me to send a check for the balance. That meant I could get the work done without a long wait. When I got back I was amazed at how good the whole job looked. He had graded the drive and walk so rain drains off cleanly instead of pooling as it had done before. In fact, the work on the front stoop and raising the front walk took care of a place where water had been coming into my basement - an unexpected bonus! He threw in the reinforcing of the carport, solving an erosion problem I was having under the floor of the carport. The work was done in a timely and professional manner and Mr. Cochran was pleasant and helpful to work with. i would recommend this company whole-heartedly.

Everything went as planned. Dale went above and beyond our expectations. Extremely kind and respectful man and all of his crew. He was very focused and finished job in a reasonable time frame, plus did some extra, when finished everything was put back in place. We would highly recommend him and his crew.

I am very happy with the price and results. Dale was extremely nice and professional. He cleaned out a clogged drain pipe at no charge. I was going to pay someone to do that! Called me about a week later to make sure I was happy with everything. Will definitely use him again.

Mr Cochran called me to schedule an appointment to see the damaged driveway. He arrived on time and we arrived at an acceptable price suitable to my budget. Next, we scheduled a start time for the tearing out of the damaged driveway and replacement of new concrete. My driveway looks great and my neighbor decided to have Mr Cochran repair and replace her driveway too (Referral). My other neighbor will have his driveway repaired and replaced in the next 2 weeks. Very good achievement and I am proud of my driveway!!!!! & so is my neighbor. Thanks ANGIE & Dale Cochran of Cochran's Concrete. The fact that his company was located in Illinois made no difference as I live in North St Louis County.

I went to St Charles city hall and obtained a driveway permit for $10.00. It is required in the city of St. Charles. I believe they are good for 90 days. On the scheduled day Mr Cochran and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. They requested permission to remove 2 rows of pavers and I gave permission. The inspector showed up and gave the ok after checking for depth etc. They did a very attractive driveway. I hope it lasts without cracking for many years. The other bids I received were considerably higher without the Angie's List coupon.

Cochran did a great job. There had never been a sidewalk from the front of my house to the backyard and there was no place for a shed to go except bare dirt. The Angie's Deal covered the 30+ linear feet of 4" thick sidewalk. I added on the pad for the shed. They connected the two and did a rounded edge for the 90 degree turn from sidewalk to pad so to looks really professional and has some style. The finish work on the concrete is what's amazing! They first smoothed the concrete as any contractor would but they then used a broom to create a uniform surface and then did about a 4" edging for the entire installation including around the curve which was definitely time consuming. It looks great. Dale was present for the whole installation as were 2 helpers, Eddie and Todd. They were all pleasant, didn't mind me watching them sometimes and were happy to answer any questions I had and to ask questions when there was any uncertainty about what I wanted. If Dale thought there might be a better way to do what I wanted he would patiently explain why he thought his idea was better but would accept my final decision, whatever it was. They always gave me exactly what I wanted with no surprises. I highly recommend Cochran's Concrete. You won't be disappointed.

Dale and his workers promptly showed up at 8:00, as he had indicated. After taking a second look at the aluminum porch columns, Dale came up with a great idea. He plumbed and reset them, and then poured four inches of concrete around them, making it a rock solid foundation that easily carries the weight of the porch roof. My other initial concern was the vast landscape re-work I anticipated having to spend a weekend to fix. I was pleasantly surprised by the minor disturbance that Dale and his crew had made. It took approximately 30 minutes to push back the rocks and it now appears as though the landscape was an after project. Dale explained all the details in the concrete used and the quality of the product. His broom finish and quality edging really sets this project off. Dale and his crew finished the project in one day and cleaned up the area. I would highly recommend Dale for any of you concrete needs. He was a courteous, professional businessman that I thoroughly enjoyed working with.

Dale contacted us within 2 days. He met with my husband. His contract left much to the imagination. Did not spell out what was to be used for the job compared to 4 other cotractors listed on Angie's who also bid for the job. He came in very low price. 50% was put down up front, compared to 30% or nothing for other contractors major reason for not using Cochran's was the contract for services

Dale Cochran from Cochran Concrete was very responsive from the time I purchased the Angie's list Big Deal coupon until the work was complete. Dale was very professional and knowledgable. He came out and provided the estimate, talked through exactly how the work would be done and then provided an estimate. The job was scheduled for the next week. The day of the job, Dale and his crew showed up on time and went right to work, finishing half the job that day. They returned the next morning and completed it. They hauled off all the materials from and old sidewalk that was torn out, cleaned everything up, and left the area looking great. The entire crew was very professional and courteous Both patios and the sidewalk look fantastic, couldn't be happier with the job that was done. I will definitely use Cochran for any future concrete work that I have and highly recommend them to others. Excellent work at a great price.

They gave us the quote the day they came out to look at the property. It was a good quote but it was on the high side compared to the other quotes that we got. So, we're not probably gonna go with them. I liked the interaction that I had with them. I like the presentation. The guy that came out was very thorough I just felt that they were a bit more expensive than what we wanted to pay. They seem to be a real nice group which is I thought they were on the high side.

When I took the deal I thought it would be $950, But when the man look at the job site I would have to pay about $1700 more, At which time I determined that it was going well out of bounds with my Retirement checks.

It went like clockwork! Mr. Cochran is knowledgeable about his specialty, courteous, and considerate.

It couldn’t have been any better. He was very nice and described everything. He seemed like he was going to do great work and had great reviews. Unfortunately the price was too much for me at this time.

Dale Cochran and his crew exceeded my expectations on all levels. I called him last Saturday about the Angie's Deal he had for a driveway/patio. I was expecting to get voicemail since it was the weekend. He answered the phone and offered to come the next day - Sunday, to give me a bid. He showed up on time for the bid and did a very thorough job explaining what we needed to do and how he would accomplish it. His pricing was very fair and he started to work THIS TUESDAY. He just completed the work on Thursday - it was kind of a complex job that had several steps involved. I couldn't be happier with Dale and his crew's work. The quality of the concrete was top notch. He even put a "fancy" border around the edging that really made it look really nice and high end. The things I really liked about Dale and reasons why I would recommend him to EVERYONE include: -Very responsive -Excellent communicator - he explained up front the process - called me every night to give me a status and to get my feedback -Fair pricing -PROMPT - he arrived every morning on time -Professional - he had great customer service and also his crew did a great job of cleaning up after themselves when they were finished. -MOST IMPORTANTLY - HIGH QUALITY WORK AND GOES THE EXTRA DISTANCE. I wish I could share the before and after pictures. I keep going out and starring at my new driveway! Dale was a great find from Angie's List!!!!!

Dale and his team did an excellent job. He was very prompt in calling me back, asked me questions every step of the way, and explained everything they were doing. They got to my house exactly on time and cleaned up everything afterward. Everything was completely professional. I would recommend everyone.

Dale and his crew were there first thing every morning, starting on the date scheduled straight through to completion. They did a great job for a fair price, and I'll be using their services again. We are very happy with the results, and the neighbors are all impressed.

All the work was done several days ahead of schedule, and resulted in a clean, new looking basement. Dale Cochran far surpassed my expectations. The house is for sale and it is ready to be shown by realtors again! I highly recommend him if you need any work done.
