EXCELLENT!!! After agreeing to a price on Sunday, Dale and his crew came over on Tuesday at 8am, worked their butts off and was done by 4pm, GREAT JOB!!!! The Building Inspector came by the next day to inspect it and said it was an excellent job as well!!! So I strongly recommend Dale Cochrans Concrete!!!

This experience with Dale and his crew was so easy and satisfying. They were very professional and helpful - very polite and checked with me on things that I might have a preference to go with. Dale watches over his crew and checks their work constantly. He is a perfectionist and it shows in the quality of his work. I had tried calling other contractors to give me a bid - few would even call back. Dale was at my house promptly to measure and give me a bid. He stayed in touch with me when there were changes in the start date due to all the rain we've had. Dale and his crew were available for any extra little thing that might have needed done and they never complained. My concrete work is beautiful and i am so thrilled with how it all turned out. The patio is gorgeous -- exceeded my expectations! Dale and his crew know what they're doing. I've used them before for new concrete stairs and would definitely use them again. He had a lot of great suggestions and worked with us to make sure the project worked for our backyard space including re-routing a drain pipe that would have caused a lot of problems as it was. Cochran Concrete were EXCELLENT to work with! They were professional and prompt each day they came to work. The weather was less then perfect and they went the "extra mile" to make sure the job was done right . It means something when they have finishers that have been in the business for 32 years. They must be doing something right. And the proof is in the pudding . My wife and I are extremely pleased with the finished product!

Mr. Cochran and his assistant, Dave, showed up on time and completed the concrete pad in less than a day's time. The job included a 6-inch thick concrete pad, piers on the corners for support and stability, and site preparation. The finish appears excellent and, because I was able to watch the pour itself, I know that both persons were careful of my property and my neighbor's, and that they were skilled workmen. I toyed with the idea of doing this job myself, but I now know that would have been a mistake. Great job on all counts.

Dale and his crew were very professional. In my case they had a few difficulties to overcome, including a severe slope in the grade and limited space, and they did a great job. I'm from a small town originally, where a man's word means something. Dale would fit right in.

If you are going to participate in this marketing venue the least you could do is respond to email.

We were scheduled to start the project and a big rain system moved into the area. Dale explained the reason for the delay and said he would start the work as soon as the rain ended. Once the work started, they were finished in 3 days. The area was left very clean and the concrete work was done very well. We would use Cochran's Concrete again! and recommend them to others.

Both the patio and sidewalk look wonderful!! Dale was professional and courteous. Love my new Patio! I would definitely hire again.

This is a difficult review to write. I hired Cochran’s Concrete based on the outstanding ratings I saw on Angie’s List which included customer service awards. Bottomline: The concrete work was done very well, but from a customer service perspective, I would not recommend Cochran’s Concrete to others. My initial contact was good. He responded to my email and offered to come and give me an estimate. He asked to come on a Saturday and I said I may not be home. He said he’d reschedule since he preferred to assess the job with the homeowner present. On Tuesday, Dale contacted me with an estimate. I asked when he came to the house and he responded that he visited on Monday. Since I was home all day on Monday, I asked why he did not let me know he was here. He said that he didn’t see any cars and assumed I wasn’t home (I keep my car in the garage). During the conversation, he mentioned he would not have a dumpster on my property since he did not want to be responsible for any damage. He offered to start the job the following week. I told him I was awaiting another estimate and would get back with him. He sent the contract on 7 Oct. On the 12th I asked him to add on repair of ramp sidewall and a broken corner. He did for an extra $150. I signed the updated contract on the 13th and sent it to him. He said he had another job lined up for next week, any mine would likely be the following week (week of 23 Oct) A few days later, he called on Wed evening and said he had a change of plans. He asked if he could remove the 475sq ft portion of the driveway and set the rock on Thurs (19 Oct) and pour the concrete on Fri. He added that he decided to get a dumpster, and that it would be positioned on the side of the road off my driveway and I agreed. Thursday morning, the sanitation company rolled up my driveway with a dumpster. I said there was a misunderstanding and that it should have been left at the side of the road. The driver contacted Dale, who stated that he decided to put the dumpster on my driveway. I declined this action and asked for it to be placed alongside the road as we agreed. Later in the morning Dale and his team of three arrived to begin breaking apart the concrete. Some wire mesh was found in the concrete, which (as per the contract) drives up the cost for removal. Dale waived this additional cost. The bobcat driver arrived with a forklift to break up and remove the concrete. Much to my surprise, the bobcat had a hydraulic fluid leak and completely stained both the remaining concrete and asphalt portions of my driveway. When I asked Dale what he was going to do about the stains, his initial response was that he was not responsible for things outside his control and since he hired the bobcat driver, it was the bobcat driver’s responsibility to clean up the mess. The contract states, “Cochran shall not be liable for the interior or exterior of the building or construction site. Delay in completion caused by acts of God, strikes, accidents and other causes beyond the contractor’s control shall not operate as forfeiting and no other understanding, collateral or otherwise shale be binding unless received in writing by both parties. I felt that Cochran’s hiring of a bobcat driver with a known leaking hydraulic line was not outside Cochran’s control. In fact, he stated that normally he uses this driver when he does patios and decks rather than hard surface work due to the leak. His position on Thurs was that I needed to discuss this with the bobcat driver who I had no idea how to reach…. I went back in the house. When I came back out, Dale and his team was gone. I texted him and asked if was going to return and to lay the rock, but I heard nothing. He did not tell me he was done for the day- he just left. On Friday morning, he returned with rolls of plastic wrap to cover the excavated area until the rock and the concrete could be poured on Monday. When I asked what happened to placing the rock yesterday and pouring the concrete today, he said that the plan changed. At that point I stopped payment on the initial installment since I lost confidence this job was going to be done in a timely manner. I also asked Dale to sign an amendment on the contract that stated the completion date for the job since there was none in the initial contract and I did not want to be left with a 475sq ft hole in my driveway indefinitely. On Friday, he did the repair work for the ramp and the broken corner. Both of which were done to my satisfaction. On Monday morning, he returned with his team to lay the rock. The same bobcat driver was hired by Dale for the work. Again the bobcat leaked profusely all over my concrete and was now grinding hydraulic fluid into the concrete as he turned and spun and tracked it across the drive. It was a mess. When I confronted Dale about it, he asked if I read the contract. Again I stated that this was not beyond his control. He said I needed to take this up with the bobcat driver. I remarked that he needed to take it up with the bobcat driver. To mitigate the issue, he brought with him, a quart of stain remover which was not nearly enough to address the stain issue. After some discussion he acquiesced. He spoke with the bobcat driver who apparently agreed to pay one of Dale’s crew return on Tuesday to power wash the stains off the driveway. I handed him a check for almost the entire job, withholding $500 until the asphalt repairs were complete. Damon returned the following day and removed almost all the stains from the concrete but the asphalt was still replete with stains and needed to be cleaned. The concrete cured for a few days and he returned to make cuts to reduce crack formation. He made the cuts to the newly poured concrete and did an additional cut at my request for a nominal fee. He asked for the balance and I stated he would get it once he addressed the problem with the asphalt. We discussed having the driveway resealed. He said he knew someone who could do it for little money and asked if I would split the cost. I told him once I got the estimate, I would let him know one way or the other. I told him I did not feel comfortable agreeing to split the cost of an unknown amount of money and added that I had already received two estimates for the resealing work. Before he departed, the agreement was that his contact would come on Wed morning and give me an estimate on sealing the driveway and that I would call him to discuss the way forward. An hour later (3pm) , he called back and said he was headed to Home depot to buy the tar and a sprayer to do it himself and that I need to clean the mud off my driveway before he returned the following day or he was going to charge me to clean the driveway before he started sealing it. Rather than pay him to clean my driveway, I went out and started scraping up the dirt and debris. I felt rushed and pressured. After working on it for about two hours, I received another call from Dale. This time it was him telling me that he changed his mind and that he was going to return the following morning to power wash the driveway and use some sort of cleaning agent to get rid of all the stains… After I hung up the phone, I called him back and asked him not to return and that I would send him the balance for the work he had done. I was done with him, despite having to absorb extra cost to remediate the asphalt and the water for the pressure washing. Wed morning, his contact arrived to give me an estimate. Apparently, Dale did not contact him to tell him the plan had changed. Throughout the entire ordeal, Dale kept telling me what great customer service he was giving me and that he was a professional. He said he expected to get another super service award from Angie’s List. Prospective customers should know that Cochran’s concrete subcontracts out for work requiring bobcats, dump trucks or other heavy equipment. In Dale Cochran’s opinion, actions by these subcontracted entities are outside his scope of responsibility. This is my experience. I feel like had I not pursued the issue, Dale would have left the concrete driveway a mess.

Mr. Cochran is an outstanding professional in his line of work. He heads up a hardworking, polite and professional team. No swearing, cigarette butts, long breaks, trash left behind, etc. Mr. Cochran is on site for all of the work performed. This is the second time I have used him and I will use him again as I have several rental properties that need his attention. He strives to give you the best possible product and watches the weather (no rain in forecast!) and other factors to insure that all goes well during and after the install. We could not be happier with our finished projects and his bid was lower than that of comparable providers. Plus, he gives a senior discount!! Dale was on time to give us the estimate. He and his crew were here when he said he would be here. He took great care to explain what we needed, how he was going to do and why and how we should care for the new walk. Walk looks great. I would give his name to anyone we know. It was almost 100 the day the walk was pit in and he did not stop smiling. Our job was not to small for him to give us his best. Thank you Dale and crew. Ken and Judy

Very well. Pool was filled in, ground-leveled, patio cover intact and it looks better than the original concrete. Great job. Great price too $5500.

He did a great job, this is the second time I've used him. I used him 3 years ago for our patio and we were just as pleased this time around. He's a super nice guy, very conscientious. He apoxyed some cracks in our garage wall for no charge.

The job itself went smoothly, Dale definitely knew his trade and was very accessible and easy to communicate with. He also gave us the most reasonable bid, and the quality was great.

When I called Cochran Concrete , Dale actually answered the phone. He came out that very evening to look at the job and give me a bid for a 12'x12' patio. He explained what needed to be done... removal of grass and a couple of inches of soil to make the area level. Needed to add several inches of rock and then pour the concrete. He quoted a price and then e mailed the contract to me , again... that very same night. I was completely impressed with his professionalism and his willingness to do the job in a very quick timeframe. He did an excellent job. I am thrilled with my new patio ! He was highly recommended to me from a client of mine who had hired him for some concrete work around a pool. I have already recommended Cochrans Concrete to several other people. I would absolutely hire them again ! Wonderful customer service !

Called on 3/23/2016 to set an appointment for 2pm on 3/25/2016. Noone showed at 2pm. I called at 2:30pm and left a message asking when they were coming. On Saturday, 3/26/2016, Dale called me asking if he could come by on Easter Sunday. No apologies or explanations as to why he didn't come on 3/23/2016.

Cochrans was prompt and efficient. They were helpful and easy to deal with. They cleaned up after themselves and the concrete looks great. Would definitely use them again.

Dale was very professional and courteous. The actual workers were great. A harder working crew you'd be hard pressed to find. They didn't make a mess, and didn't LEAVE a mess. Driveway parking pad looks and works great.

It went great. They did what they said they would and for a fair price.

It took some time for us to actually schedule the project start date. In some cases I would negatively rate this type of delay, however, in this case it is demonstrative of Dale's (Owner of Cochran's Concrete) attention to detail and "do it right the first time" approach to projects. Dale and his crew arrived timely each day - the project took about 3 days, and left the site relatively clean and picked up at the close of each work day. Dale selected quality materials and I was very happy with the workmanship of his crew. Dale was onsite most of the time ensuring that the work and project was meeting expectations. As with most construction projects we ran into a couple unexpected hurdles but Dale was fair and timely in getting those items fixed/corrected. I will update this post after a few months to advise water-tightness and to comment on how quality of work has held up.
