I've only used this service once, but they seem reasonable and did a good job. They also did not try to sell me parts or service I did not need.

Our 22 year old furnace was going to need about $800 of repair in the near future so I bit the bullet and called 4 HVAC dealers to get bids for a new furnace. I liked Climate Control Services the best because Tom took time to explain his American Standard products clearly, measure our house thoroughly, and perform a professional load test to determine the right size unit for us. Also, his price was competitive. Once we agreed to use Climate Control Services, the turn around time for installing our new furnace was short. Dan and Greg showed up in the morning and by mid afternoon our old furnace had been taken away and a new high efficiency unit was up and running. The work was very neat and professional. It was a pleasant experience overall and I would definitely use Climate Control Services again.

After discovering that we had cracks in the heat exchanger of our 21 year-old furnace, we began the process of securing bids for replacement of the furnace and the a/c unit, given that both were 20+ years-old. I used Angie's List to look for HVAC contractors that specialized in high efficiency, American Standard units, as that brand (affiliated w/ Trane), received the highest marks in Consumer Reports in '18. All 3 contractors who provided bids were well rated on Angie's List, yet not all were equal when considering price, knowledge, professionalism, and their attention to detail. In the end, I chose Climate Control Services, as their owner, Tom Wyse, was very thorough w/ his bid after evaluating our existing HVAC system, performing a load calculation to determine the proper size of both furnace & a/c units needed for our house, and presenting me w/ viable options based on my budget and long term needs. Not to mention they were able to get the job started less than a week after signing off on his bid! His bid included a 2-stage furnace, 16 SEER a/c unit, & a chimney liner (which my chimney did not have and is required for venting the hot water heater, which was only 5 years old and I didn't see a need to replace). The bid also included a new humidifier, whole house air cleaner w/ filter, smart thermostat, new piping for venting the furnace, new piping for draining condensate from humidifier, creation of a new, short duct run for the basement, replacement of plumbing feeding the hot water heater, and replacement of heavily corroded duct work. So although Tom's bid was not the cheapest (middle quote of the 3), there was additional work added that the others didn't indicate were necessary, even though it became clear all were needed after asking Tom many questions and listening to his direct, insightful answers. So in the end, given all work performed over the two day project, I believe the cost was in a reasonable range. Tom did offer financing, though we didn't take any of it, as we used funds from elsewhere to pay for the unexpected expense. Plus he applied all rebates available to bring the cost down. Special kudos to his staff. Dan & Greg were the installers and they were great. Arrived on time both days, explained what they were doing, answered questions as I had them, cleaned up after themselves, and did a very professional, efficient job w/ both the removal of the existing systems and the install of the new. Their sheet metal work, which they did on site in their truck, was top notch, so I feel confident that the duct work will last for many years to come. One of their techs, Nate, was also great. He came to the site to assist at times and was the one who walked me through the operation of the smart thermostat and furnace. Overall the experience was really great, as Tom's company really lived up to its exceptional ratings on Google and Angie's List. Tom was involved from day one, w/ the quote, follow-up questions answered, visiting on site both days to ensure the project went on w/out a hitch, and then walked me through the operation/maintenance of the system a second time, including the smart thermostat, which was very helpful. Without any hesitation, I would recommend using Climate Control Services to install your new HVAC system, as Tom really knows his stuff!

It went well. Estimate was explained well. They showed up on time and did what they said with no issues.

Tom's crew is phenomenal. I originally needed an induction motor replaced, but with an old unit and rare part, I opted for him quoting me on a new Furnace. It was cold in the house but I was tired of dealing with broke Furnaces. I took some phone shots and texted him and he called instantly to let me know that my setup was not correct and not to code. He then came by the next day to measure and make sure he could do the job BEFORE actually promising me anything. Whereas most places would have "just made it work" tom doesn't operate on chance, he runs on Quality. That's exactly what I got, Quality work. All configurations fixed and his crew went above and beyond in helping get my thermostat installed. I had an incorrectly installed 4" air filter which he said was causing issues with the static pressure and load on the unit, basically choking it. I originally dismissed this, but he knew that if he didn't get me to change my mind the install and the quality would not have been to his level. He persisted and got me a smaller filter with the same MERV 15 rating AND got me turn on to the Air Scrubber product, which basically takes a lot of the dust/mold/odor out of the air due to my wife's bad asthma and allergies (Which is why I had a 4" air filter). Now the house air is way better than the 4" filter, the air flow in my unit is better and I am a very happy customer. Opt for the Air Scrubber folks it's worth not having to dust as much. The price I thought was reasonable; he even turned this around from call to installed in 48 hours. He offered a cash discount, a rare option nowadays. If you want it done right, call Tom and crew they will not disappoint!

Service man (Nathan) arrived as scheduled. He worked diligently until the work was completed. He gladly answered any questions I had.

Climate Control did a fantastic job on our install! I would highly recommend them for any job. Scheduling and selecting my unit was very simple with Tom. He responded promptly and fit us in right away. The install crew was great. Danny arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. They worked quickly and efficiently. The unit looks and runs perfectly.

After receiving five quotes and comparing apples to apples we chose Climate Control Services. From the time Tom came to our home to give us an estimate till the completion of the job everything ran smoothly. Tom was the only company that took the time to do an energy analysis before quoting what size and efficiency would best meet our needs. Chris, Dan and Nate (and the young "interns") were friendly, professional and efficient. They made sure they put proper covering over the floors to prevent mud from being tracked in and cleaned up with no mess left behind. Tom came at the end of the day to inspect the work and spent a great length of time explaining the new system and the new thermostat. I can say we have never experienced this type of service, typically a company just rushes in does the job and leaves. We are very pleased with the work and will highly recommend Climate Control Services.

It all went very well. I interviewed 6 different companies and Tom, from Climate Control Services, was the most convincing. After researching the various air-conditioner manufacturers I was convinced that American Standard was the most consistently reliable. Tom answered all of my questions as well as my husband's. Men who did the installation were very professional and Dan, in particular, was very knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable knowing that I can contact the company any time I have questions or concerns and trust that I will receive prompt and honest answers and service.

I am a perfectionist. Its rare to find a company that does the kind of work that you would do yourself. Climate Control Services is just that. I was blown away at the level of pride Tom’s crew took into installing our new Furnace and Air Conditioning equipment. From their initial visit to our home providing their recommendations and proposal to the final walk through of our new HVAC system and its operation, Climate Control's service was professional and courteous. In fact, they were so knowledgeable and professional, we also asked them to replace the HVAC in a small condo rental unit that required a custom built system, and Climate Control proved to be the only company that was willing and able to provide us with a quote and then to complete the job in a professional manner and at an affordable price.

Tom and his team were great. Tom was very responsive and provided the best alternatives for my HVAC situation.

We obtained a few estimates, but Tom was the only one who took the time to do a proper load calculation and measure our home's energy needs. The proposal was extremely detailed and informative and stood out above all the rest. The price was only a few hundred dollars more than the others we obtained, but we were also getting so much more: a smart thermostat and new humidifier. The install went perfectly. Tom came towards the end to review the work and then spent an hour with us looking at everything--both inside and outside of the house--and teaching us how to use the new thermostat. Tom also called the Village to set up the inspection, and then Tom checked in with me a few days later to verify that the work passed inspection and to see if I had encountered any issues using the thermostat. I can't say enough good things about Climate Control Services. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and truly cares that his company and employees perform the highest quality work. I have used this company a few times over the years for routine cleanings and minor repairs, but having this large job done with such attention to detail made me see that Climate Control Services stands head and shoulders above all the rest. I recommend them to everyone and will use only this company for my future HVAC needs.

After discussing my problems with Tom, he sent Dan to remedy them. Dan did a very neat job of removing our old water heater. Then he did an excellent job of installing the new 40 gallon Rheem Water Heater and replacing an old shut-off valve with a 1/4 turn one for the ice maker. He showed me how to light the water heater and how to adjust the water temperature. The second issue was a small water leak on the duct work system when the air conditioner would run a lot on hot, humid days. From his years of experience, Dan figured out that he could fix the leak my making an air diverter for the turbulence in the duct work system since my furnace model did not come with one. This company does great work and is trustworthy!

Everything went perfectly. Easy to work with. Provided detailed and easy to understand explanations. Made reasonable recommendations for the best system for our home. Did not sell us more than we needed. We appreciated their knowledge and expertise. Very responsive, prompt, and clean. We will be working with them in the future.

The quotes we received varied in price by almost $4000. We decided on a combination of total cost of ownership and the quality ratings of the equipment being offered. We chose Climate Control for the reasons listed above. Climate Control provided prompt and great overall service from initial contact to post install and follow up. Tom is extremely knowledgeable on HVAC systems and the American Standard products. As stated in other reviews, Tom was the only one to run an analysis of our home's energy needs and match the size of the equipment to our needs, rather than just replacing the old equipment. Tom also was quick to provide responses and answers to all my questions during the entire process. Installation was very quick and professional. Dan and Greg, the installers did a great job. They were highly efficient and knowledgeable and completed the work in a timely manner, including cleanup afterwards. The difference, in my opinion, are in all the small details they attended to during installation. Our house has already shown noticeable "evening out of the temperature range" on all floors only two days after installation, and everything is working great. Climate Control did what they said they would and there were no delays, issues or surprises. I definitely recommend Climate Control for your HVAC needs and at least give them a chance to talk to you, and hear them out. Equipment: We ended going with an American Standard 80v 80% 2-stage variable speed upflow furnace, an American Standard Silver 16 condenser, an American Standard cased txv upflow coil, and an American Standard thermostat. They also replaced a/c rails, 60 amp disconnects, 3.4" electrical whips, 10x25 return drops with filter boot 20x25x1 filter and a 1" filter.

This was the third estimate I got. I just wanted an air handler, but the salesperson was determined to sell me an air handler heat pump system. He said he had installed at least 10 or 20 or 30 (The number changed during the conversation.) such systems in my subdivision and would be happy to supply references. He later emailed me one reference, but the address wasn't in my subdivision. He gave me an estimate for the system, did not want to give me an estimate for just the air handler. I realize that American Standard is a top-notch brand; but the estimate was the highest I'd received by far. I didn't consider it. If you want a top-notch brand and a whole system, this might be the company for you, but not for me. I'm up in years; I don't need something this classy, long-lasting, and expensive.

They inspected and cleaned my furnace but had to call them back to check my humidifier. They ran late and didn't call for first appointment which was inconvenient for my daughter who was waiting for them but they apologized so no big deal. I wish they had told me about the humidifier not being included when they were there the first time but I easily scheduled for them to come back and inspect it for a small fee and they did arrive on time for that appointment. All in all good service for a reasonable price and I would hire them again.

The project went excellent! Couldn't be happier!

The next Monday there were two installers that were on time, ready to install the system as scheduled. They explained exactly what they were doing and how long it would take. By 4 PM that day, the installation was complete, old equipment hauled away and Tom was there to instruct my wife and myself how to use the new thermostat. The entire process was professional, efficient and amazingly fast. If you are in need of services like I received, you owe it to yourself to give them a call and experience it first hand.

Tom and team did great. We received several quotes, and while not the cheapest, I felt most comfortable with the equipment and work done by Climate Control. Tom was very responsive, provided an itemized quote, included all of the relevant rebates in the quote (rebates other companies told us weren't available), and the work looks and, most importantly, functions great. Tom was the only one to run an analysis of our home's energy needs and match the size of the equipment to our needs, rather than just matching the old equipment. His team also fixed a couple of minor duct issues a prior company had done incorrectly while they were in the house.
