AAM'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR

We contacted Aam's to schedule the appointment after paying online and were given a time window of 9 to noon, although the person we spoke with said they'd likely arrive around 10. They arrived around 9:30, so we were happy with their punctuality. Mr. Elwood Marksberry was courteous, professional, and very nice to work with. He was driving a good-sized box truck and had all the necessary tools and equipment for the job, so he seemed well-prepared as well as knowledgeable. He assessed the problem quickly (auto-drive on our mower had stopped working) and after telling us what needed fixing he went to work and was done in about 15 to 20 minutes, including tune-up and blade sharpening. Last year we paid $150 just to have our mower tuned up, and had to take it to the repair shop, so we feel we got a great deal with this promo since we got a lawn mower tune-up and auto-drive repair for $100 at our home. But even better, we found a courteous, professional company that we'll definitely call again in the future for any small engine repair needs.

The lawn mower is working now and we had it for nine years. We have a lot of grass.

The person who did the work was professional and arrived on time. It took about 20 minutes of time to do the tune up. Before the tune up I was having trouble starting the lawn mower. Since the work was performed I have had no problems with it and it has started up every time.

Bought an Angie's List coupon for a lawnmower tune up, I dropped it off at the shop and they were very nice and pleasant. The tune up was done within 24 hours.

This has been one of the worst experiences. They didn't properly repair the mower. They claimed that I just asked for a tune up. I didn't. But, regardless, the machine isn't working, I'm not even sure what they did because anyone working with the mower knows it's not working. They left, took a check for $95 and a $20 cash tip. When my husband called and left them a message, they took a day to respond and then the same woman I spoke with called me, literally was arguing with me and blaming me and then while I was talking, she hung up the phone on me. I called and left a voicemail and they didn't return my call. Very disappointing that this place is even allowed on Angie's List, they should be removed.

Everything went as promised. Very fast and helpful.

Professional, pleasant and punctual. Answered all my questions and concerns and gave me pointers on how to winterize the mowers. He came to my home which was an added bonus. I highly recommend AAM and will use them in the future for all my small engine needs.

I am very please with AAMS. I received a call from them on Friday about scheduling. They were not able to get me a set appointment but fit me in on the schedule for today. Elwood was out here by noon and done in no time flat! My lawnmower looks so clean and the service was completely professional. I am a highly satisfied repeat customer and have recommended Aam's to anyone I know who needs service to small engines - lawnmowers, snowblowers, etc. They are quick to respond, arrive promptly on time, very courteous and professional, and do excellent work. I highly, highly recommend them. They will come out within 20-25 mile radius or so - I live in Lombard, IL. The specific work I have had done was on my 20+ year old snowblower. The first time it was to do a tune-up, and replace the little rubber button for priming the engine. (They only charged me cost - $5 - for the button). The second time it was for a diagnostic on the same machine. Both times I have been highly satisfied.

The tune-up was done fairly quickly. I was able to drop off the mower and pick it up on a different day at a convenient time. The mower operated well before the end of the season. I will see how it performs when spring arrives.

The repairs were completed on time. Normally they come to your home and complete the service. However, because of the extremely low temperatures they came and picked up the snowblower free of charge, then took it to their shop to do the repairs. On the day we arranged to have them return it they did not come so we called them. It turns out the snow blower was stolen from their workshop the night before. The owner apologized and said he had a similar model of his own that he would give us to compensate. He brought it that day and waived the repair fee. It has worked well. We appreciate his honesty and stepping up to make us whole in a difficult situation. We'll definitely use him again.

They were kind of backed up, but they were pretty good. There were no additional fees associated with the deal. They were good to work with.

It was better that I could have imagined. He took a lawn mower that didn't run, came to my house, repaired it and left me a note with what he did. He could have made up things that were wrong (I wouldn't have known) but he was so honest and kind that I have referred several people to him. I will be using him again this spring!

They came to my home, picked up my snowblower and took back to their shop. The same day, they returned my snowblower in great working condition. Very friendly and personal service. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys for any small engine repair.

The man who did the work arrived on time and was very professional. He came to my house, took the snowblower to his truck and did all the work right on the truck. Took less than 30 min and it was running so much smoother! Will be calling every year for maintenance and tune-ups because he made the process so easy. Would highly recommend!

Please do not go to this sham of a company. I brought my snow blower to these people, it was basically someone's back yard. I was told it would be a couple of days, which turned out to be a couple of weeks. When I called to try to find out when it would be ready, they gave me no idea of how long it would take. When I finally got my snow blower back, it was making a strange noise. Now my snow blower wont work at all. I called them to let them know and they didn't offer to fix it or to help diagnose what may be wrong with it now. When I told them how I was unhappy that now it wasn't working and in the way in which they were handling it, the kid hung up on me. I now have to take my snow blower to another place to have them fix it, because this place was such a sham. PLEASE do not go to these people!!

next year. I have a large snowblower that I can't transport. I called AAm's since they come out to the house. I thought I might as well get my mower tuned too as I had been using it all summer. He came out a few minutes earlier than the time we set, tunrd both machines in a very short timr, changed oil, etc. Gave me a discount since two machines were done. Very pleased, Will use again

Went very well. Provider contacted us promptly, and handled our snowblower needs quickly. We will probably use them again for a tractor that needs work. Very satisfied.
