The contractor never called me back or responded to my e-mail for a quote

Good quality work, reasonable price, met schedule, nice to work with. In one area there were large tree roots we wanted to work around and they did a good job avoiding them and being careful. Work site was neat. Very professional.

Initially they responded extremely fast to request for quote, brought a list of references, and was fairly communicative. Due to the wet spring and my own schedule, it was approx. 5 weeks before the work was scheduled to begin, I had to do most of the phone calls to make this happen. When it was scheduled they arrived a couple days early without notice, and began jack-hammering out the old steps at 6 am, while thrilled the work was beginning, not thrilled at this unexpected alarm clock. My biggest problem was the bobcat jack hammer they used - the bobcat destroyed part of my asphalt driveway and they just pushed it back into place and acted like nothing happened. The driveway is very old and had cracks in it, but you would think experienced professionals would understand this possibility. Although they put down boards on the grass, they were not always driving on them. The inspector failed them on the first inspection for not digging the hole deep enough, and I live in Des Plaines, where they are located, I really think they should know their own city's regulations. They popped a small area out of the existing foundation wall and I had to hound them to get that repaired, but it was eventually fixed. When they finished the front stairs and removed the framing - there were some voids on the sides, that one of the workers said they would come back to fill - they never did. The bottom steps are significantly higher that the previous steps, resulting in an awkward three inch difference between the drive and front lawn and the driveway/sidewalk to the bottom step. I've waited a while to write this review as I wanted to think carefully about my grade. I have other issues with the work, but at this point I'm more upset with paying them the final payment without complaining about this stuff - I trusted that their Angie's List A grade would be enough - I wish I had compared some others.

Called on Friday....Pete came out on Monday for estimate...Nick called on Wednesday to schedule me in...Work done on Thursday. Very accommodating. Needed work done before weather got bad. They started early (7 30 am) so they were not in the way of school drop off traffic... job completed by 1:30. The crew was great and Nick was here to help and supervise. I asked them to put all the dirt in the back yard instead of hauling it away....( I needed it for a spring project) and they were happy to do it. Overall experience was great.

The work was excellent, fast and very neat. The workers were extremely nice and they left everything clean. I live in North East Evanston so people there are used to good workmanship. They were impressed and one of them asked me for the name and telephone of the company..... I would recommend them to any who asked me Nick Desario, the company's owner was there at the beginning of the work, and he came back when the work was done to make sure everything was alright.. I strongly recommend this company.

The work took a few days but everything seemed to go well and the finished product looks good.

Their quoted price was about $5,500, but it was for using different materials. They were very professional, but it was not in our budget. They provided all the information I needed and they were very prompt. I have no complaint, it is just that their price was not in my budget.

Overall, the job was very professionally performed and I have no issues with the workmanship. Contractor was prompt and communication, at least initially, was appropriate. However, there were a couple of issues after the job that caused me not to return to this contractor when it was time to replace the rest of the walk. First, the contractor came back and asked for an additional $800 over the agreed price to due the depth of an existing concrete pad that needed to be removed. The pad was pretty deep, but at the same time I would have preferred that he had included this in the original bid. However, the more important issue was less than ideal communication for some follow-on work. I felt like I had to chase the contractor to get responses to a second quote and a period of a few months elapsed between commuincations, enough time that the original quote had lapsed beyond the 30-day period. When I asked for a second copy of the quote, the price had gone up about 12%. Not cool. And the contract price still didn't factor in the removal of the concrete pad - it was going to be "extra" again. Another contractor has since bid on the project and come in $2k lower. Again, the work is good quality so no complaints. However, the business side seems a little too slippery for my tastes. Overall I think a grade of B to B- is appropriate.

Work was done promptly and attention was paid to my requests. Everyone was very courteous and pleasant and did the work quickly Explanations of progress were furnished as needed. The driveway looks great!

If you are looking for a concrete contractor that you can trust to do a great job 3D Concrete is the one to choose. From Nick’s quick response to my inquiry to the time the trucks pulled away they are professional all the way. They have everything I was looking for in a good company. Family owned, 20 years in the business, all workers on payroll (no subs), Better Business A+ rating, many satisfied customers as references and the list goes on. We did not go with 3 D Concrete because we decided to install a natural stone patio instead of repairing or replacing the existing stamped concrete patio. Nick with 3 D concrete was honest with me that I would not be happy with the finished product of a stamped concrete when I was really looking for a natural stone look.

Job was completed on-time and as discussed.

This process went totally smoothly. Nick came by the same day I called him to look at the stoop, he provided a quote that I thought was completely reasonable and he returned two days later to do the work. The work was done promptly, quickly and perfectly. The new stoop looks great and I am very confident that it will outlast our time in the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick to anyone at any time.

Everything went great! Within the week Nick came in the morning to remove the old stoop. Then his helpers arrived and the concrete truck came around noon. By 12:30PM my new stoop had been poured. The helpers stuck around until it was time to remove the framing. They taped off the area and we were done. Very good experience all around. More contracters should be like this.

The work they did the bottom of the driveway by the garage door is fine. However, the work at the top of the driveway isn’t. The driveway wasn’t widened in the way which we had requested, and he left the curb. We I brought these issues to the owner’s attention, he seemed like he couldn't have cared less. In fact, he suggested we just find another company.

Left message for vendor on a Friday afternoon. Nick returned call Saturday morning which was a pleasant surprise and left a message. Since I had not yet returned his message, he called again Monday morning and we agreed that he would come out that day to view the walks. Nick was very detailed and professional in his explanation of what he could/could not do. He provided a written estimate right away. He did caution that we were getting late in the season with winter coming so if we didn't have the work done soon, he would recommend to wait since it was not an emergency. This was good advice which I passed on to the other condo owners. We have decided to wait until spring to pursue the work. I will again call Nick at that time.

Nick got back to me with an estimate quickly and explained in detail what he recommended. I decided not to go with the repair of my concrete stairs, but to break down and install them. I went with another company to do this - to my regret. In the future, if I need any concrete work, I will certainly go with Nick, he seems to be great!

the concrete floor of our 50 year old split level house settled 2+ inches. Nick gave us a competitive estimate. In 4 days they removed the slab excavated 12 inches of bad soil, added gravel, compacted, added 4 inches of insulation, and poured a fiber reinforced concrete slab. His crew worked hard, but the young laborers didn't realize the mess they were making by dry-sawing concrete. Although we sealed the room off from the rest of the house well, dry saw-cutting created a lot of dust in the garage and screen porch. Pouring took place thursday. Overall very satisfied.

Nick, the owner had to come back a second time to redo the application, as it didn't cover well enough the first time. This was pretty much expected and there was no problem with him coming back to do the process a second time.

The owner came and measured our area. He made suggestions to our yard in order to better our curb appeal. He was extremely knowledgeable about his product, our needs and the overall finished product look. His workers were very diligent, hard working, on time, and pleasant. We cannot say enough about how great our experience was with this company. We would highly recommend them. The most important compliment we can give them is that they are the most honest owner, workers and company we have dealt with in a long time.

They did a great job! The crew was on time and worked thoroughly. They could use a slight improvement in clean up as there was a fair amount of concrete splatter. However, we were happy with the project overall. I would consider them for future concrete projects.

Very well. Nick gave me an estimate for the work. When I received the estimate, I realized I had forgotten to ask Nick if he could build a ramp since the existing garage floor is about 6 inches lower than the back entry door. He said he would do that for no additional cost and asked if I would be willing to have him angle the floor rather than build a ramp. For me this was a much better alternative. I scheduled the appointment and his crew came right on time. Anthony, the onsite supervisor was extremely polite and the crew worked very hard that day. First, they needed to be careful because the garage was not built on a frame and secondly, they ran into tree roots that needed to be removed. They started at 8:00 and didn't finish until 6:00 pm. I am very happy with the result.

Nick came out and gave us his proposal. This included tearing out our front stoop and stairs. The job was started on Monday and was completed Wednesday. His team did a great job. We wouldn't hesitate to use 3D again.
