Description of Work: I needed to modify my gas line leading to my stove, because my new stove did not fit as nice into the old space. BMW responded immediately and advised me my options. Within the hour my new stove was hooked up exactly as I needed it in the least invasive way (also at the lowest price). Before leaving the service technician tested all my other gas devices to make sure everything was operational as the gas needed to be turned off for the service call.

Description of Work: Didn't use them. The person on the phone was clear and pleasant, but my frustration came from the inability to get any idea of what they charge per hour. I needed a very simple task done: finish installing a new dishwasher by just running the water supply line. He wouldn't tell me what their hourly labor rate was- just said they would price the job when they came out and it would cost me $59 to find that out- I explained that this was not a "plumbing problem" where I didn't know what was wrong- it was clear what needed to be done and it was likely a simple plumbing task for a professional.

 + -1 moreInitially called to fix hot water temperature problem. BMW spent about an hour testing different things. Noted that my temperature gauge on water heater was not reading correctly. Suggested getting a new guage or just turning up the temperature on the gauge. Ended up turning up water heater temperature. Fixed the problem for $176 in labor. Expensive. About a week later noticed that shower was leaking and called them back. In previous visit the plumber took the vaulves apart and I thought he may of not of put it back properly. They came quickly and said needed to rebuild shower vaulve. They charged me for the vaulve and labor. $340 and later, I feel that the labor was duplicate and will never use BMW again.
Description of Work: Initial problem with hot water temperature not hot enough and hot water very limited. Later leaking shower.

 + -1 moreThey coordinated well with our heating contractor. They offered a lot of experience to figure out the best solution for us. It was critical they did their work promptly so the other contractor could start their work and they did the work on schedule and very well, using people with the right skill. The work was done professionally and as requested and they made sure to clean up everything.
Description of Work: They were brought in by our heating contractor to help figure out how to abandon our old return air ducts and make sure we had our sump basin fixed. They came up with a workable alternative for a difficult situation and then did their part of the plan.

Unlike their counterparts from other firms, BMW's people are reliable, punctual, responsive, pleasant to work with and expert. This was my second call to BMW and, like the first one, the plumber showed up on time, performed the work efficiently and charged about what I expected. No low-ball prices here, but no rip-offs either. Good value for excellent work. Parenthetically, that faucet, which for years had been a leaky, cranky pain in the neck, now works perfectly. I recommend BMW without reservation. And no, I'm not related to the owners...

 + -1 moreBMW Plumbing Incorporated is very good about appointments. They do not seem to have a lot of turn over with their company. They have always been very helpful when they come out. They always send out reminder letters to make appointments for servicing, especially since I live in an older area with a lot root problems. I do not know how they measure up when it comes to the price, I think all plumbing is expensive. The only thing that would be nice for me is to have to same gentleman come out to do work for me, rather than a different one every time. It can be tough to make an appointment with them, but they have improved recently.

 + -1 moreThis company installed this sump pump in 7/2005 for $290. Now, less than two years later, the sump pump made an awful grinding noise and the repair cost more than the original installation. I think the price seems awfully high. I'm irritated that we weren't given a quote upfront. Given the high price of repair we would have opted to install a new one instead of fixing the old one. I tried to question the bill but the company was unsympathetic. Beware of ridiculously high prices and no upfront estimates.

 + -1 moreBMW cleared the drains and replaced a flapper. However, it seemed to me that he was trying to stretch out the time. At one point I went to check on him and found him replacing the cap to the drain pipe to the shower.(Not on my list).
Description of Work: BMW was called to clear three clogged drains and to check one toilet that continued to run after flushing.

 + -1 moreI CALLED A COUPLE COMPANIES BEFORE I TRIED THIS ONE AND NONE OF THEM COULD GET OUT TO MY HOME BEFORE THE AFTERNOON. BMW PLUMBING WAS ABLE TO COME OUT WITHIN THE HOUR AND HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED IN NO TIME. BOTH THE DISPATCHER AND SERVICE MAN WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PLEASANT. I WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN IN A MOMENT. THEY DID GREAT WORK AND WERE VERY REASONABLE.
Description of Work: WE NEEDED EMERGENCY SERVICE BECAUSE THE SHOWER IN OUR BATHROOM WOULD NOT TURN OFF. WE NEEDED TO HAVE THE VALVE REPLACED THAT CONTROLLED THE WATER FLOW.
