Faced with a huge possible expense of digging up our floor, I called another company. They went in from the outside, reamed out the roots, ran a camera through the line, and told me to apply root killer periodically to prevent future problems. Tiger refunded my second plumber's bill. Tiger had to come out twice to properly seat the toilet to the floor so as not to rock.

There are two furnaces in my home. I purchased a cleaning and inspection of both furnaces and was charged $79 for the first furnace and $40 for the second furnace. The technician cleaned the heat sensor and that was about the extent of it. Did not clean the blower, coils, or inside the furnace itself. I obviously was unaware of what was implied by "cleaning" as I assumed and failed to ask before service. My expectation was the blower and coils at the least. I was having a problem with one of my furnaces' blower kicking on and off. The technician diagnosed the problem as the pressure switch and stated that he could fix that right now for approx. $391. I declined the service so I could get a second opinion because I knew that a pressure switch could be purchased for around $70. (The next day I had another service provider come by and they stated the pressure switch is in good working order and that it was my thermostat that was getting too hot and turning off the burners until it cooled down while the fan continued to run. The problem was fixed for less than $100.) After the service was provided by Mt. Everest Air, I was asked to sit down at my table and complete paperwork. It entailed pages of products the technician carried on his van in an effort to upsell the customer. I did not like the way this company made me feel. Their pricing seems extremely high and it felt like a pushy sales call in my home. Customers might not remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel. Now, 10 weeks later my ignitor quit working on one of my furnaces. I recalled Mt. Everest Air telling me about the warranty that came with their previous service, so I decided to give them a second opportunity since I believed it would be covered. I called them first thing the next morning at 7:15 am and they told me that some one would be at my home between 8 and 10 am and that I was a priority since I did not have any heat. At 10 am they called me back and stated that it would be closer to noon before someone could be at my home. I received a couple more calls throughout the day, pushing the arrival time back with each phone call. At 5:15 pm I received another call stating that someone would be here in about 30 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes later, the technician arrived at approximate 6:35 pm. The technician that came to my house this time was (first of all a knowledgeable and great technician, Steve) unaware of the warranty program but he still troubleshot the problem. He stated that it would be $189 to change the ignitor. He was unaware of the program warranty so I asked him to not do any work until I had a chance to research this. I called the production supervisor (Jason) the next day who was extremely helpful in conducting the research to identify what the warranty was. In less than an hour he called me back and stated that he could return the $79 fee that I paid a few weeks ago or that he could apply it to the fee for fixing my furnace. I stated to him to return my $79 and that would be acceptable. I then drove 10 minutes to True Value Hardware and purchased the part for $25 and installed it myself. It was a very easy job to do. Definitely not worth being charged $189 for, plus I am assuming in normal circumstances there would have been a trip fee applied as well on top of this charge. I do not intend to use this company again. Not because they are a horrible company, more so because I have had much better experiences with their competitors.

My toilet was not working and I had heard about this company from a friend so I thought I would try them. When I called they gave me an appointment that same day-something I wasn't expecting. The office was even nice enough to call me when they were on the way so I was able to take care of some errands while I was waiting and met them back at my house. The gentleman that came to my house was very polite and friendly and got my problem taken care of quickly. I was surprised that he put something on his shoes before he came into my house to protect my carpet. I don't think I have ever dealt with a service comapny that has been so professional. I will defintely use them again if the need arises and will recommend them to anyone I know.

The phone service center worker was polite and friendly. The company confirmed the appointment by phone. The plumber Jon came to my Godfrey residence exactly on time. My dog (who seems to have a sixth sense about people's character) stopped barking as soon as I invited Jon in, and was calm. Jon wore booties and even put booties on wheels of all equipment brought into my home to keep floors clean. He asked many questions before starting and did a quite thorough diagnostic work up, explaining the various possible causes of the problem. When most likely problem was found he took extra measures to ensure other problems did not coexist. He was knowledgeable. Before starting the job he showed me the cost from the company's list and reviewed written company standards including that all plumbers are licensed, must receive frequent training to keep up on their skills, undergo frequent drug screens, and carry $1 million in insurance. He showed me that the company received an A minus rating from the Better Business Bureau and when I asked him to prove it he politely asked if he could use my computer and he pulled up the BBB site on line, showing me the rating. He was thorough in fixing the problem and demonstrated to me in different ways how we could be sure the problem was fixed. He left no mess. He gave me tips on how to keep the problem from recurring and steered me away from unnecessary interventions that had been suggested to me by others. When I had to leave to pick up my son from school he waited at my kitchen table for me to return. He gave me a written guarantee that if the problem recurred to even a small degree it would be fixed for free. He asked me to honestly critique my experience on the local. google. com site, explaining his company uses this feedback to improve services. He was courteous and friendly yet professional. He was kind to my son. THIS is my new plumber.

This is for Tiger Plumbing in Glen Carbon Illinois. These people were crooks. I had no hot water and missed a day of work to have Tiger at my house and could not afford to miss another day. They took advantage of me. The overflow tank did not work when Tiger left my house. Leaked on the basement floor till I got up the courage to call another plumber. Cost me $300 to have the tank replaced. Also watch out for their "protection" scam to charge your credit card every month to be nice to you in the future. The only thing worse than having them come over is having them come back. You don't want these people in your home.

Tiger came out on time. Looked at pipe for about 30 seconds and explained what they believe to be the issue (discovered later their diagnosis was in correct). They wanted to dig about a foot back and replace a small (under 3 feet) splice of clay pipe with PVC. The technician asked How much do you think this will cost? And then said $1600 - when questioned why so much the answer was do I want to play with someone else's poop. There would be no poop unless we flushed the toilet while they were working!! They insisted on coming in and writing up an estimate and trying to sell service packs and tellign me how much it would be to replace our clay pipes out to the street. I paid $50 for what amounted to a sales call for them. My husband dwasn't able to be there so we he called the next day to get a real understanding for the high price - there was no real explanation such as x amount for pipe x number hours at x rate... don't bother with this company! He had used them before for roots in a pipe and they were fine but that was a few years ago.

They came out within 24 hours and I appreciated their promptness. They didn't charge me anything to come out and their quote seemed very reasonable for what they were asking. What stood out to me more than anything else was that they weren't stuck on any one brand of furnace or A/C unit. They marketed a wide variety of different brands and they picked the one that was the best to fit my needs. They found the best furnace for the size, the best efficiency, and the best cost. They're not getting a commission by pushing a particular brand like a lot of the others are. I think they could've done a tiny bit better on their pricing, but other than that the experience with them turned out to be was real enjoyable.

I was not happy with the amount charged since it only took them 17 minutes to do the work. I had to call another plumber because he missed the fact that the range was sliding forward. The other plumbers came in and did additional work and it took twice as long and they did twice as much work and charged the same amount. I would not use this company again in the future.

I didn't pay them anything this time because they came out to fix their mistake. They are punctual. They have a membership club where you pay $19 something a month. If you need them, they will take that club membership and deduct off from the final total.

We hired another company to do repair the leak, which costed us less than $150. This second plumber fixed this leak and a few other issues. Overall, Tiger Plumbing was trying to scam us. I was out of the country with the military. My soldiers were knowledgeable and told me that Tiger Plumbing was clearly trying to rip us off. Not only for an unnecessary plumbing bill, but he would have walked out with the copper plumbing that he could sell as scrap.
