I brought my clock to Chicago Clock and was surprised that it would take over 5 months for the repair to be completed. Actually, I was shocked, but I ok'd the repair. When the repair was completed, I brought the clock home. Before going to bed, I attempted to turn off the chimes and the switch didn't work. The chimes kept chiming. I find it hard to believe that this function was not checked before I picked up the clock. I was also disappointed that the wood case was not cleaned. Chicago Clock Co. polished my clock but never cleaned the exterior wood first. New polish on dirty wood doesn't cut it. The wood case looked worse than when I originally brought it in. The clock keeps good time and the chimes work again.

I am very pleased with their work and plan to use them again.

It keeps accurate time now and the chimes are wonderful to hear in the house again. My only problem...it took four months to get it back. Wonderful takes time I am sure and I do appreciate that it is beautiful but it seemed to be a long time to get it fixed.

Service drove far to pick up the clock (over 50 miles). It took over 6 months to repair, but I knew that prior to pick-up. Repair was very good. I am very happy.

I brought clock in for repair estimate. I was given an estimate of 600.00 plus 300.00 for glass that needed to be replaced. They told me the clock would be worth over 1200.00, in good condition. I told them that I would consider it, but could not afford the work at that time. The clock was left at their shop. Three months later, I received a call from them, advising the repairs were completed. The total was over 600.00. I offered to pay half, as I never authorized the repair. They would not accept my offer. we then agreed to have them sell the clock on consignment to recover their repair bill. They were going to send over agreement. That was three months ago. Have not seen paperwork or had contact since then.

Another clock repairman had quoted a price for repair that was way beyond what I was willing or able to pay. Not only was my experience with Chicago Clock very satisfying, but informative. Jimmy took the time to explain what had happened, was prompt, helpful and very professional. I would highly recommend their service, I know, I will be a returning customer.

Technician came on time, explained in detail what he was doing and provided information about the clock beyond my expectations. Overall, he did a great job and was very professional.

It was good. He repaired a problem that I've been having for years. I'd taken it somewhere else to be fixed, and that had failed.

They were a pleasure to deal with. The person who answered the phone was very knowledgeable. Nick the technician who delivered and set up the clock was also very helpful in showing us how to keep the clock running efficiently and really took pride in his work. We have since gone back and had some watch batteries replaced at their store and had the same experience. It is nice to see a business that is very customer service focused and backs that up with a great work!

The men who came to check my clock and then return it were on time. They wore shoe covers in my house, and were professional and pleasant. It was expensive to have the clock repaired, but was worth it.

Chris arrived on time. His appearance was pleasant and clean and demeanor was thorough. He asked if I had any questions.

Everything happened just as estimated and predicted. I was even given specific directions on how to find the repair place and where to park. I was called in a few days with the estimate and the repairs we're done in a few weeks, which was great since I had two clocks being repaired. The price was reasonable for the meticulous work done, especially since the dome clock had been a gift and I didn't want to just dispose of it.

On time, professional and honest

I was surprised but accepted that the work would take 3-months. They made it just under the estimated time, brought the unit to my home as scheduled and quickly installed and explained future maintenance I should do. It has been running great.

I was very satisfied. I had a grandfather clock and they did a complete inspection, oiled out the parts, took the mechanism out of the clock and it was gone for about eight weeks. Then they came and reinstalled it. They are professional. Their prices seemed to be in line with others. They are prompt, efficient and courteous. I would definitely use them again.

They were alright. I am hesitant to use them again but it is hard to find someone who will work on old clocks. Two men came out and one was just the driver and one was working there now that he is retired and clocks had always been his hobby. I am a little hesitant about them if they don’t have anyone with more educated than that gentleman. The price was not cheap but it was okay. They arrived on time and I have no complaints about what they did. They have been around Chicago for a long time

$750 was their standard repair cost for refurbishing a Grandfather Clock movement. This included pickup and return delivery. Estimated 90 days repair time and clock was delivered in exactly 90 days. The clock has been running flawlessly since reinstall on 12/2006. Very satisfied with the company and service and I will definitely use again.

A gentleman approached me after completing a phone call and told me that he probably couldn't get a new motor for me because they were no longer available, but said he was no expert. He then went to the back room, and came back right away to tell me that he couldn't help me. There was no time for him to have asked a technician that quickly. I told him that it might not be the motor, because it had been repaired recently. Could he please ask the tech person again about other possibilities? He told me no and he didn't know who else might have the parts because their company was the largest in the area. I don't feel the clock was even looked at and certainly not plugged in. How can it be diagnosed without plugging it in? I left feeling very disappointed with the treatment.
