Wilson Electric (Wade Wilson is the owner/operator) was great. I called and left him a message, and he promptly called back. He made it easy to set up an appointment, and worked with my schedule. He showed up on time (5 minutes early) and actually called about 10 minutes before he arrived to confirm. He's very pleasant and easy to talk to, and got straight to work. He had the old unit removed, the wires checked and the new unit installed and tested in 25 minutes. He told me when to test it and recommended that we install an additional smoke-alarm for the 2nd bedroom. Wade made it easy, and I would use his services again.

it went great showed up exactly on time all work was performed in about 2 hours. Wade was very personable and helpful. i thought his priceing was very reasonable as well and he was able to give me actual quotes over phone and email. i called 2 other companies and they would not quote me over the phone for the work and the ones that did were by the hour vs. for the actual work. I will hire Wade the next time i need electrical work.

Inspected the electrical wires and determined it was a plumbing problem. I appreciate his honesty. He came out right away on a Saturday and did not charge time and a half. Wade was pleasant and courteous. He also called me back a few days later to check that everything was o.k.

Several of our electrical outlets went dead. I phoned Wade & he came the same day, arrived on time, & quickly diagnosed & fixed the problem. He also changed a ceiling-lite fixture & noticed some non-code circuit breakers & replaced them. From now on, Wade is my permanent electrician & I highly recommend him. His work was fast, thorough & cost less than I'd expected. He is very knowledgeable & pleasant -- also is licensed & bonded.

Wade was great. One of the outlets that was flagged as non-GFI in our inspection report was actually fine as-is. Wade caught it and was honest enough to tell us that we didn't need to spend the money to have him replace it. He could have just charged me and gone about his day -- so I appreciated the honesty and the savings. I would definitely recommend Wilson Electric and use them again. Wade was very prompt in scheduling and flexible with us when we had to reschedule due to a delay in closing.....

I emailed Wade and explained what I wanted. He responded back and gave me an estimate, and we scheduled the date/time. (I have found that emails work best--I did call one time in the past and did not get a return call.) He was on time and performed the work as agreed. This is the second small job he has done for me and I find him to be professional and helpful. He does everything to code and does not do "short cuts" that will cause problems later.

Wade was incredibly responsive - punctual and performed his work quickly and efficiently. Great at returning calls and estimates were always given and the work never exceeded the estimated price. It's great to find your "go to" electrician after so many bad attempts in the past!

He was acceptable in making a house visit to solve the problem, the same day of calling for the repair. He was on time and corrected the problem.

Wade has done electric work on our place in the past and he's now the only electrician I call. He was thorough, payed attention to detail, and met all code requirements. Sometimes hard to get a hold of ( I guess he stays busy and is self employed), but he was honest and professional throughout the project. He and his assistant would even clean up their mess at the end of each day. Thanks Wade!

I called on a Monday afternoon. Wade was able to stop by that same evening to take a look and give an estimate. He explained what needed to be done and provided a fair estimate. He offered to fix it the next day but it didn't work for our schedule so we scheduled it for Wednesday. He was on time, professional and done in no time. A job well done!

First call resulted in leaving a message that was never returned. Second call got the "mailbox is full" response.

His voicemail is full and you can't leave a message - clearly not returning calls as other customers have noted.

Read about some people's challenges contacting this contractor, but decided to try anyway. Called several times and received a message that the message box was full. So, I used the fax number for the company and sent a message about the work we wanted done. Never received a call back and could never get through to leave a message on Wade's machine. Very disappointing--not sure how this guy keeps or gets customers.

After one call to Wade Wilson, I had an appointment and two days later, what I felt was a productive meeting with likely one to two days of work for his company. Wade took comprehensive notes and promised to send a written estimate via e-mail within a week. Two weeks later and we had not received the estimate. I left a follow-up message and my call was returned with an apology and promise to send the quote immediately. 24 hours later without receiving the quote, my husband followed up with Wade to confirm the e-mail address. Two days later and still no quote. Frankly, I am baffled by the situation and can think only that he was not interested in the type of work and or felt the job was too small. If either were the case, and we can only guess, it would have been much more professional to have politely passed on the job.

Contacted wade to install baseboard heaters in two rooms. He returned my call promptly and arrived on the designated day on time for a free quote. Wade evaluated the electrical system and confirmed to install the heaters, the fuse box needed to be upgraded to handle the additional fuses. On the scheduled work day, Wade arrived on time again and upgraded the fuse box and prepped the heater wiring for the next day. Returning the next day, he installed the heaters and fixing a wobbly ceiling fan. After the installation of the heaters, I decided to upgrade the wattage of the heaters & wade promptly came back the next week and swapped out the heaters and installed programmable thermostats at no additional charge. The bill was exactly as quoted even though the existing wiring was non-conventional including wire boxes hidden behind the drywall. I would definitely use wade again and highly recommend his services.

This was a good learning project for myself. Wade was very patient with out schedules and worked through some minor delays in correspondence from my e-mail going to his junk folder. He kept us informed of the ordering process and his schedule so that we could coordinate accordingly. Highly recommend Wilson Electrical Services for you building's external lighting needs.

Courteous, responsive, clear explanations, quality work. Must have been busy because I had to bug him for timely invoicing.

Based on the reviews provided here on Angie's List, I thought this provider would be the best to go with for my kitchen light switch issues. I called and left messages on March 24th, 25th, and 27th. Maybe they are on vacation...or hopefully they are just terribly busy with other work/customers. But, I did not receive a call back and feel that over a week is long enough to wait. I've called a few others listed here and will use one of them instead.

After discovering our oven and the plugs that were on the same circuit were not working, I placed a call to Wade Wilson for help. He called back in a timely manner and tried to resolve the problem over the phone, however, we came to the decision he would have to come out for a service call. He told me it would be $120 and possible additional cost if we needed to order or replace a part. Wade offered to come over that Friday evening, but I asked if he could come tomorrow afternoon. He promptly arrived at 3pm on Saturday and went to work on trying to locate our problem. When he removed the cover of the circuit board he discovered that six circuit wires going into one of the two boards were melted and singed. He said we were lucky this hadn't started a fire. By just looking at the wires I even could tell they looked extremely bad and were definitely a fire hazard. Wade explained what could have happened and our options. He then fixed the wires and re-wired them to the other circuit board so that we had full electricity and safely. Wade was extremely professional, honest, and friendly. We felt he performed the job in a very timely manner and we got more than what we paid for. I highly recommend Wade and will definitely call him again in the future when needed.

I left a VM on a Saturday with Wade, and he called me back within 15 minutes, even though he was out of town. I was very impressed that he troubleshooted the problem over the phone, and only after his suggestions didn't work did he schedule a time to come to my house. He offered to send someone over that weekend, but I preferred to schedule for a Wed evening. Later, when I had to reschedule to Superbowl Sunday, Wade was understanding and willing. My condo association requires insurance stuff, and Wade handled the whole thing for a minimal administrative fee. He called 15 minutes before the appointment, arrived exactly on time, and the work only took an hour. He was honest and trustworthy - it is pretty obvious that I don't know the first thing about electrical work, and he fixed my kitchen quickly and professionally. That, and he's a really nice guy who was kind to my cats. I was so impressed with him that I asked for other referrals for handymen, and I am hiring Wilson Electrical Services to fix other electrical problems around my home. I highly recommend Wade and his company!

One of my biggest pet peeves is contractors that don't return phone calls. Mr. Wilson falls in that category.

Our bedroom's alarm clock went out one night. This was because the outlet the clock radio was plugged into died. I determined that the circuit breaker had tripped. I investigated and discovered that our bedroom lights and outlets, smoke detectors and the lights in the bathroom, hallway, laundry room, pantry, foyer, kitchen, dining room and living room were all on the same circuit. This was way too much stuff on one line. I looked up electricians on Angie's list and called Wilson Electrical. Wade Wilson responded promptly came out and diagnosed the problem (agreeing with my assessment) and did an estimate for repairs. He came back another day with a helper and made the repairs. In the interim I discovered that our home office outlets and lights were on the same circuit as our guest bedroom and the guest bath lighting. Wade added a circuit to split the home office from the rest. Everything is fine now.

Very well. Wade was prompt, professional and explained the problem in language I could easily understand and completed the work in a very timely manner. I was very satisfied with the whole experience and would not hesitate to hire him again. Wade's quote was in line with other contractors.
